- I’m a big fan of Kriega soft luggage and have used it on various bikes I’ve owned. Before buying the Scrambler 1200 xc I was worried that the high exhaust might limit my luggage options. Kriega soft luggage provides the answer with a flexible system giving enough options for any touring/camping trip. The Kriega US system works perfectly on the Scrambler 1200.
In this video I’m focussing on the latest addition to my Kriega collection - the tank bag adapter which I’m using with a small 5 litre US bag as a tank bag.
Really easy to install and works great.
if you could go over the bag you have on the seat like you did the tank bag that would be great.
wanted to see how it latches onto the seat.
I’m a big fan of Kriega stuff and probably Will do a film about my luggage set up. In the meantime here’s a Kriega video which will give you a good idea about how the system works. th-cam.com/video/vhpvkcbuE9Q/w-d-xo.html
Nice review - the offset fuel cap standing proud of the tank was my concern and you cover this point very well.
Thanks for the feedback. The Kriega system is great and the tank bag adapter just gives another option 👍
Thx for sharing… I use a similar tank-bag-system and it works very well. Greetings to you ✌️
I just got the tank converter for a us 20. Im trying work a way to use the tank converter with a molle system. Banging bike btw
Cheers👍 Molle would be cool.
Would love to hear what kriega kit did you use for a 4-7 day trip and for a weekend trip?
I just bought a scrambler 1200 XE 2024 and scroll through the options for luggage
My magnet tank bag is a million times easier and quicker to deal with
Whatever works for you buddy 👍
do you think a 20 litre drypack can fit on the tank of a bonneville? i ride a t120 btw not sure if that makes any difference, i'm sure they're about the same as a scrambler 1200
I think it would. Kriega says the tank bag adapter will take a US 20 and I’m sure at T120 tank would be big enough. 👍
@@spodokomoto5020 I have a US 20 on my 2015 thruxton - and it's fine, nice place to rest your head on a long trip. Id say the Triumph tanks are almost too big for it as the velcro straps at back are at full length as I have the system fitted much more forward on the tank - its not a perfect fit as is over the fuel cap but its no trouble to access it when adding fuel.
Ty for the vid.
Could you share what size is the Ram mount that fits in handle bar clamp?
Also what clutch lever is that?
RAM Mounts Ball Adapter with M10 X 1.25 Threaded Post RAM-B-349U with B Size 1" Ball.
The levers are V-Trec from Motea in Germany.
Brake lever and clutch lever Set Vario 2 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC 19-21 V-Trec foldable and length adjustable.
I found that the actuator pin on the brake lever was a bit too long and had to saw a little bit off. But apart from that they’re really well made and easy to fit.

Thank u very much for info!
Just found your channel great info could u tell me what windscreen u have on I’m picking an Xcode up next week also like the bar end mirrors great looking bike cheers
Hi George - the screen is Triumph’s own Tall Fly screen A9708601. The deflector is a clip on one from Puig. The bar end mirrors are from Tec Bike Parts. You’ll love the Scrambler - it’s a great bike 👍
@@spodokomoto5020 thanks trading in my crf250 rally for the scrambler next week a bit of extra weight to get used to much appreciated
@@spodokomoto5020does the deflector makes a difference in buffeting, I find de buffeting to bit annoying with standard screen. I’m 1,73cm hopefully the puig deflector helps with that?
@@joostvdijk18 Yes it works well with the tall fly screen. It’s not the same as the big screens on an ADV bike but this set up is pretty good.
