One of the things I hope to see added in the future would be the ability to load into a server with a premade squad of friends. It's been very tedious to play with my buddies because either the server is too full, or we end up getting split up to different teams
You can make your own team and lock the squad. Then give them a code to get in
@@snarkyboysofflimits8591 thats not what hes talking about, most servers have a 10+ player queue so getting into the same server with friends can be basically impossible. Once you all get into the server you are pretty much guarenteed to be on different factions as well
Thank god someone is planning to update the marines. I was a little disappointed with all there mismatch era gear.
So a lot of units still have m16s but only for logistics and admin battalions and shit like that and the marines never used matv’s in large numbers you might see reports of marsoc but we have the jltvs and they are still using the wrong truck fo logis

Instead of doing things like not allowing sights for balance they should balance the weapons they have access to. Give the terrorists way more access to booby traps and explosives for example to counter the USAs better equipment
Imagine a mine (plus a ied or two) with razor thin wire that you can barely see in a doorway
Antipersonal mines. It might be cool to add some civilians as well, to allow insurgents to blend in to a degree.

Karma not sure if you'll ever read this but ive been playing squad since 2019. I bough this game from your store back when it was like 25% off or so and I'm so happy to be part of this milsim community especially now that my fav game is getting the attention it deserves,

Vanilla Squad limits kits way too much, guys running irons on their m27? fat chance lmfao, I really dislike how out of their way they seem to go to enforce some kind of "balance" when even the most primitive of fighting forces have access to optics on a pretty wide scale. I really wish they would implement an armor system so that long range combat wouldn't be so overdone as well. this game is like 80% of what it could be without mods
Right but if you gave all the marines m27’s with scopes then they would win most of the matches. If you are going to do that then you have to give every faction a scope on all of the guns. Which I mean, you could do, but that would eliminate some of the roles that exist. You would have infantrymen that were trying to be marksmen when they should be doing something else. This isn’t real life it’s a video game. The roles have jobs they are supposed to be doing. If you level the playing field for all classes then there’s no organization. Now of course on a server with ex soldiers or people who take it too seriously, maybe you could make it work. But with more casual players that the developers would want to cater to, you need a way to gate people into taking certain actions because their kit limits their ability.
Though they could make it a playlist option. Where certain matches feature kits that all have scopes. That would probably work.
You contradict yourself, you don't want long range battles (which is realistic btw) but want sights on all guns?
@@snarkyboysofflimits8591 if they had body armor threats like 5.45 and 5.56 would be much less of a threat at long range, instead you get smacked with a bleed and lose 50% of your hp in one hit to the torso, you could move much more confidently if you knew they had to land a well placed headshot to take you out

When calling for medical aid; "Medic" is for Army and "CORPSMAN" is for Marines.
However, "Doc" is acceptable for both.

I dont want a modernized marine corp, at least for Fallujah, maybe something MEE could do. When I think Fallujah I think marines with the chocolate chip BDUs and forrest camo flak jackets, little to no sights on their M16s and tons of mechanized armor. Go and watch Fallujah videos and youll see what im talking about
hmmm, yea I was in Fallujah and we had MARPAT cammies, most had Coyote Brown Intercepter vests(some had woodland camo), and we ALL had RCO's on our rifles. I would say all our pouches were woodland camo (mag/frag/IFAKs etc.) Only iron sights I saw were support marines (logistics, comms, aviation, etc.)

As a Marine with all the newest gear M27s to all infantrymen With the trijicon SCO
M4A1s to Drivers/Crewmembers with ACOG or SDO
240B with MDO no SAW and Carl gustav and LAWs
Marksmen with the SASS sappers get claymores or whatever we can get in squad
M38s are stupid don’t offer anything the M27 can already do

The Marines for this game need the scout sniper. Current Weapons from 2019 include the Knights M110 SASS, M40A6, MK-13 Mod7, Barrett.50 cal. Old weapons from 2010 include the Knight MK11 Mod0, M40A5, Barrett. 50 cal and M1911.

I find the lack of M27 IAR loadouts in the Vanilla version of the USMC in Squad a bit upsetting.
With the humvees and heavy fighting this video gave me battle of Mogadishu (blackhawk down) vibes

Had the same thing for a few months, played every other game and got bored, went back and told myself imma do this and learn this game till I die, I learned it in about 5 days after really paying attention

When it comes to modding one thing of note is most Infantry Marines carry an IAR now, the M16A4 is basically used by POGs since not everyone has an M4 some grunts still have M4s but its not as common. Usually how IARs differ is how they’re loaded out such as ones built for DMR purposes, Rifleman purposes, and Automatic Rifleman purposes. Also the IAR is starting too come equipment with a Trijicon VCOG 1-8x and a suppressor but for game balance that could be a SL type since there is still some out there running a ACOG.
A lot of young men say to themselves, "Man, I wish I were there IRL". No, you don't.
This game is one of my favorites but it pisses me off, my mic will stop working or I'll freeze, just I got the aa truck and thought I'd have fun with it but the second staging phase ended my frames dropped to 5 and stayed

Marines have better gear than the army nowadays. They got rid of their armor so they’re not really underfunded anymore
You only need to make a callout once if no one else is talking. No need to say everything 3 times. Effective comms are made sparingly and executed gracefully. Good video tho!

the maps just aren’t big enough for ospreys, it would just be annoying having to constantly turn around to stay on the map
