Is this a recreation of the original bots? Were the original bots actually built? Everything in this video looks too new, but I can't tell. Beautiful work though! Interesting how they used cables for a lot of things.

I was also trying to figure out if these were a recreation or a video of the originals. Then I saw the smart phone and the newer welders. It's wild that someone would put the kind of money and effort into reproducing the robots for real. I wonder if they were thinking of making another sequel and it just didn't go anywhere.
