The grill is made from metal, not plastic. Really good speaker under 200$ price point. With custom EQ this speaker sounds absolutely impressive. Best choice is to buy 2 or buy one Boom 2 Plus after few days when its released.
Nice video really well done. I'm really enjoying my Boom 2 so far. Can't wait to take it around with me this summer. Portability was the main reason I got this speaker and the sound it puts out for its size is really impressive.
For me even with BassUp turned on, it has trouble producing bass frequencies. Additionally, it has a relatively muted treble response that can make sibilants seem lifeless and drab. The most natural sounding there is the mids. They sound ok and balanced, but at its high volume pressure, everthing "balanced" is gone, bc here is some compression. The soundstage is awfull....For me this speaker...not worth the money...
Im returning an x600. The spatial audio just sounds too hollow and tinny to me. Turning it off it sounds like any other speaker. But my living area is pretty “hollow” with hard floors, I think bass would fill it more than the treble from x600
SEVERELY. I own one & it just sounds dull & or dirty where the midrange is concerned. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an overall good value for what you get with features & performance combined.

Yeah I realized that afterwards from seeing a tear down video, it’s weird bc it feels like plastic on the surface
@@TechReviewsTVNice review. Do you make a review of Boom 2 plus after release, because i want to buy one more boom 2 or boom 2 plus...
@@autodream Yeah I’ll be getting the boom 2 plus to try out as well
It's now $89 at Amazon
Hello, greetings... You don't think it's a bad thing that the Soundcore Boom 2. Do you have the speaker's speaker gat in plastic? 🤔

you can use a stereo mode with two of the same speaker rather than party mode where they both play the same

I agree with you. There is no substitute for speaker size. I like the W-King X20 which blows this speaker away for a bit more money.
@@LarryRichelli The Boom 2 is $89. The W-King X20 is $272. You can buy 3 Boom 2's for that price. LOLOLOLOLOL
@@sappyjohnson I paid $174 for the W-King on a one day sale on Amazon
@sappyjohnson I got the X20 for $174 and it was well worth it
You prefer this one vs the X600?
Yes by a lot
isn't the Soundcore Motion X600 better than this one because they are close in price?
No I prefer the boom 2 over x600
Boom 2 is $89

@@THunt-ss4hy have you considered moving instead?
@@sappyjohnson haha I suppose I could. More clarification, it's a big open layout with laminate flooring, and that stuff is real echo-y.
Sounds like it's lacking in the mids..
