Thank you for sharing. I would suggest a solar panel on the rack (hard korr do a narrow one, but its pricey compared to some others) and a lithium compatible MPPT charger as the better option to keep the battery charged up. As for the RTT issues, some stabiliser legs may have helped, but if you weren't a fan of the height nothing was fixing that on this trailer.
Thanks Jason I have a foldable solar panel 200w atm with the right solar regulator and works awesome!💯 haha I had jockeys...the frame itself still felt like it was gonna snap any second🤣
You need a dc to dc charger to charge the battery on the trailer properly. The way your doing it now you can over charger or not even put any charge in the battery. Also since you have a Lithium battery you need a shunt to know what the battery level is at and what is being used. Otherwise looking good mate.
Thanks for that mate. Had a chat with some reps about it today and you're right need a dcdc. Will charge battery at home and use solar for the time being and see if I need it. Thanks for the advice🙂💯 my solar regulator works quite well showing what volts go in and out and battery level 🙂
Hey mate, I have a camper similar to this but around 750kg. Looking at getting a compact 4x4 to tow it. Would you say these are very capable at towing at 100 on highways and off-road too? Any issues or transmission cooling needed? Thanks Ben
Mate I couldn't even feel the trailer behind it. These Pajeros can tow up to 2.5T 🙂💯 just make sure to get the Diesel as the Petrol will be too thirsty. Cooling wise it won't be an issue. If you tow on beaches then I would recommend an upgraded oil cooler
Legend! Thanks for the prompt response and good information! So hard to find a good diesel, these cars are as rare as hens teeth! Love the channel! Keep up the good work 🎉
