Hello, i just bought the SolidWorks student, but im a Mac, i can't download the SolidWorks set up, What should I do

Hi there,
In order to run SOLIDWORKS on Mac OS, you will need to run Boot Camp to install an image or Windows OS.
You will need the following before installing Boot Camp.
1. Windows Installation Media Disc
2. Mac Installation disc if you are using Snow Leopard (the white disc). Lion already has this media installed
3. SOLIDWORKS Disc or Download Link (www.solidworks.com/sek)
Note: Before beginning this process, it is highly recommended that you install any Mac updates and back up all your data.
Please follow Mac’s official installation guide of Boot Camp: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468
Once Boot Camp is installed please proceed to install SOLIDWORKS using the installation media or online download link above.

Can students get Solidworks for free only for educational purpose? Solidworks is not affordable for Sri Lankan students.

Hi Janaka, If your school qualifies, you may be eligible for a free license from your professor. Please reach out to your professor for the appropriate SEK-ID or SDK-ID code and instructions on how to obtain your free license. Your license would be a download from this site: www.solidworks.com/SEK. To get the download, you will need the SEK-ID code and will have to provide your email address. If your school is not eligible you can purchase a copy of the Student Edition here: www.solidworks.com/studentstore
