- Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Reform UK’s Deputy Leader Ben Habib to discuss the launch of the party’s manifesto.
Reform has plans to scrap Net Zero targets, introduce “smart” immigration, and ensure zero-tolerance policing.
Julia challenges Ben on how the party will pay for the policies, cracking down on benefit claimants and how they plan to stop the boats in 100 days.

Who's going to pay for your state pension and ensures it keeps pace with inflation? Who's going to subsidise the social care and NHS you hopefully will not need, when you are older? Taxation is a necessary evil. I would much rather pay more tax if it was going to ensure a fairer society, rather than ensuring the rich get richer and the gap between rich and poor forever widens.

I had a stroke in 2017 and have been unable to work, which I did throughout my adult life.
I know for a fact that the system is being abused, a little trepidation for genuine claimants but what's to lose with the current and coming shower.

I don't know where this country is going to end up once Starmer and the gang are in charge .It strikes me that nothing will be off the table no matter how crazy it is.because governments are not tied by their manifesto.
What I find very strange and sad about the UK electorate, is the fact that millions of ordinary, decent citizens never seem to take a step back and actually think about their current situation. Over the last 25-30 years , millions of people have seen their living standards plummet, wages depreciate in real terms, even renting or trying to buy even a modest property has become unaffordable for millions, leaving millions of young adults stuck with their parents. Uncontrolled mass immigration has totally transformed many towns and city’s at an unprecedented level, school standards have dropped, pensions and savings have been raided and as for the NHS…And yet, if the polls are to be believed, most people will be voting for the very same political class and policies that have put this country where it now is. I still can’t work out if it’s ignorance, stupidity, loyalty or a mix of all three that keep millions voting for a two party system that’s going to make the vast majority of people in this country poorer. Is this really the best we can achieve?
