Maxi & the rest of the girls are no doubt icon's of the 80's but lets face it other than lead singer JoJo the other 3 girls didnt sing a lick on any of the those records or in concert ( the backup band The Stone City Band sang the backup at concerts) according to JoJo...Rick James snagged those girls off the street for eye candy purposes only because Motown wouldnt let him release a project with just JOJo ..they insisted on a group...so Rick was forced to go out & find three girls..according to JoJo Rick discovered Maxi & the other girl in a strip club and discovered the other girl Cheri in a 7-11
She sings live recently tho. Look up recent perforkances. Shes clearly singing background and leadin choruses. Do u think rick wouldnt have her up there if she didnt have potential to get better at singing? Get it together.
