Does everything I want. 3GB RAM/64GB ROM and it is fast. I don't play games on it. I only use it for banking, paying, taking photos, EV charging and the odd phone call.
For almost the same price you can get a Blackview Oscal C80 with 8GB RAM,128GB storage,same 50mp camera, USB C fast charging, these days the budget market is tough there's alot of competition

And every other thing about it is pretty en par with the competition. Android updates is also something I think it supports. As for the running of apps, it doesn't fall short though. And redmi actually does a pretty good job maximising the 5mp selfie (especially if you turn off the beauty filter that they slap on all their 5mp cameras). Just speaking from the time I saw it.

I just bought this phone for my mom as a gift, she only needs whataspp and be able to see we sons and grandsons send to her. It's terrible this phone uses microUSB, I didn't know, otherwise would've chosen Honor X6 or something better. Now, she won't be able to share my father charger which is USB-C in case she misplaces it. I know this company has to cut out some corners but this is utterly ridiculous.

The volume from the phone speaker is absolutely terrible - next to impossible to hear. This is stange since the volume is fine when listening to a video.

my guy i had a ten c until it was stolen from me now im here looking at this garbage of a phone so called redmi 12c , and about the redmi 10c it just does not compete to the absolute bangers they used to make like the redmi note 8 or 7 (which my mom has at this price point) those phone absolutely smacks the 10c because they have better screens at 1080 resolution instead of 720p and they had better build quality (glass instead of plastic) but all ima say redmi has really gotten worse and i have a feeling its just getting even more worse so you actually got an amazing phone for the price because i actually enjoyed me 10c i was able to even play pubg the entire day with no issues most of the time the 10c actually lasted 2 days straight with no issues i could comfortably leave the house at 30 percent and still come back with battery to spare but the thing i really hate about it is the 720 p screen because on my old redmi note 8 i was able to watch videos at 4k but on the 10c you cant do that your llmited to 1080 p but any way good phone in general
