Mike, We don't care what title people call you. We call you family! We subscribe to numerous TH-cam channels but yours is probably the only one that we watch religiously as soon as a new video comes out. Keep being you!
Agreed ! :)
Truth
Agreed!
@@barryhoneycutt3894believe me he ain't going anywhere
I 100% agree with this statement
Call Mike, I don’t care if you are a TH-camr that does, firewood, or a firewood guy on TH-cam I just enjoy watching all of your videos! I am really looking forward to this year to see what you’re going to do at the cabin, the orchard or field as you call it, and what else you have in store for us! Best of luck
You know it’s a good video when Mike picks Roanoke River by Ghosts of Liberty!! Happy weekend everyone.
I do love the song too !!!
Amen!
You can disagree (I don't), it's okay to be wrong (you're not). 😂 Funny line!
Hi Mike! I thoroughly enjoy your videos of you and your family. It has been an inspiration to me (and I am 78 years old) to see the things you all do and have done. Today I worked for four hours with my skidloader and my PolarisRanger and actually enjoyed it for the complete four hours so I certainly understand your desire to work and appreciate your work ethic. As far as you being a guy working with wood and then being a TH-camr or a TH-camr first then a wood guy brought me back to something my Mother and Dad said to me often as I was growing up, "Don't forget who brung you to the dance". I could certainly see you getting back to being the wood guy or whatever you are doing at the time then taking a TH-cam video of that and sharing. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking us along! J.R.
I enjoy kinda living my life tagging along with you while you work outside. Im 78, have several health issues, and love to work outside, but am limited on what I can do. So, I enjoy watching you while Im having my morning coffee in the morning. Also enjoy it when your wife is with you!!!
Mike I love when you get on a rant. You politely say what I want to shout from the roof tops. Thank you !
And you are correct . And funny.
I enjoy watching and listening to you !!!! Stick with it !
I think that if you look around your property and see all of those nice new toys sitting around, multiple tractors, multiple new trucks side-by-side, great big outbuilding, new property in Virginia with a cabin on it, not that you didn’t do well at your previous job, but I think TH-cam has done very well for you, so yeah you are a TH-camr. Just embrace it
It’s all about him. If it’s not what he wants then he becomes an angry and incensed. He ought to be just a tad grateful for this journey.
And thank mom and Dad for the land start.
Really? I hear a grateful heart in almost everything both Mike and Melissa do. He's always doing things for his mother and sister. He's doing things for his family and yes he benefits from improving his property as well ... but I clearly see a grateful heart. @@gcranch9913
I listened very closely waiting to hear what on earth Mike said to cause these three uncalled for triggered comments about this man and how he lives. Typical sour grapes “must be nice” nonsense. What I heard was Mike’s usual daily honest commentary on his life and how he sees it. Lighten up would you people. I guess even the most wholesome people on TH-cam can’t escape the critical crap throwers…..
I'm not triggered and I didn't say anything negative about him other than TH-cam has been pretty good to him so why not just embrace it. I watch all of the videos and have been for years now so take your sour grapes post somewhere else.
I think the phrase "Outdoors With The Morgans" explains everything you do!. Enjoy these warm days!.
Good Morning Morgan Family 🌞- Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day 🤠
Mike for president!
TH-cam or not; that wood processor kicks butt. I was definitely wrong with my first impression.
Mike I was watching you run the sawmill with the sawdust blowing out. Why not put a small conveyor under the spout and collect the sawdust in super sacks. I worked as a truck driver for 30 years and I hauled a lot of sawdust that they called wood flower from Wisconsin to Arkansas for use in making the curved backs for school desks. I don't know what the sawdust is worth but they paid us very well for moving it. Might be worth checking into. the dust we hauled was hardwood.
LOL love the way you put that. It's ok to be wrong. I am a long-distance truck driver and come through your area all the time Mike and believe me I get what you are saying, government is definitely stupid.
I often think of Newtons fourth law of motion, "For every action there is an equal and opposite government program! " .

Love the channel, cannot wait for updates. Off the lease, and Eva's awaiting a new video, life is busy and i understand.... Thanks for the videos Mike we really enjoy them. The news letter as well, lots of information, store, and generally what's going on.
I think that change of title is to be attributed to this generation and life changing. But to me you and the family are in the wood business and a great operator of the equipment you show case. You provide all information on the videos and helpful to any who ask. Keep up the great work Mike. Love the channel.
We’ll keep looking forward to all of your videos, no matter how often (or infrequently) they come out. You are a rare TH-camr who’s an ordinary guy doing things that I can learn from. Best wishes for a great 2024.
My heart skipped a beat when I read your headline “I may not be a TH-camr any longer”. I thought that you were going to stop making videos. I would definitely miss seeing them as I look forward to seeing them. Anyway I’m glad you’re not quitting and I look forward to seeing you move some dirt. 😊
I agree Mike - don't care what you call yourself so long as you keep posting videos of your two properties and the work you are doing. Always an inspiration to me and what I want to do on my ranch. Go Chiefs!
Regen is the craziest thing the government ever came up with. This is why I'm never getting rid of my older non-def, non-regen pieces of equipment. I had to deal with that for the last ten years of my trucking business. The cost of working with emissions ended up being the biggest expense of our trucking business. Glad I sold out and retired.
We are sounding like the anti seatbelt crowd of the 1960’s. The “I have a right to smoke” crowd of the 1970’s. And so it goes.
If you had been a part of how much the independent trucker has been destroyed by the implementation of the government rules and regulations, you might have a different view on this. These new regen engines have destroyed trucking for the small guy. This one rule has pushed the cost of doing business as a small trucking company to unbearable costs with very little good results for the environment. This type of regulation is creepy into the small person's pocket now. There is a reason why so many who have older non-regen equipment are hanging on to it. The cost of repair of the new equipment is unbearable. If you had any experience with this you would know what I'm speaking of. This is way different than the regulation of a seat belt or smoking. This hits to the core of anyone who works with his hands and has a love for heavy equipment. Just wait until you need someone to do landscaping work for you. The cost will be way more than you think.
@@frankrubino1883
Operating under my authority with a 20 year old KW and CAT. I couldn’t afford the downtime of a new truck. Warranty or not.
So True. The new engines are almost unrepairable. An old C-15 can have multiple inframe overhauls and not break the bank. It's a new world out there for the independent trucker.@@Heathen1970

Good Mountaineer Morning to the Morgan's!! Hello Hunter!!
Gaday from down under, my name is Dale and the wife (Debra) and I gust love your posts, please keep it up as you have a different world over there yet we are more alike then we are in alike.
Alike, got a 2021 F250 Lariat Tremor, 12 months in on not quite 1000 acres of heavy timbered property in the Hunter Valley on the Great Dividing Range (from your prospective a hill even though we on a mountain lol). We have a close friend logging the property for his mill and we just started firewood processing, small operation with a new Kubota 75s2 and a Harveston 150 processor. We have a Unimog 4x4 to get the firewood off the “hill” but it all a new venture for us, tried to retire but didn’t work, no pun intended lol.
It fascinating see how you work your business. I don’t know how to TH-cam post etc maybe I can get a tech to show me.
Question- do you have hardwood like we got in Australia? Interested to know
Dale & Debra
Barroed my neighbor's tractor he warned me about re gen used it no problem returning it went it regen parked it & waited 45 minutes neighbor's not home just waited just stupid I consider u guys family also cheers 🥂 😊
Yesterday it was 70° here in NW Arkansas. They're calling for snow on Monday. Happy weekend everyone.
Mike when I first saw the title I was shocked. I thought you were going to stop making videos. I watch several youtube channels but Outdoor With The Morgans is the number one channel I watch.
Me too!

I don't care what you are called but please don't stop the videos. I look forward to every one. I agree with you on the Regen on the diesels. The engines use a lot more fuel so I can't see where this is better for the environment, bit it is what it is. Take care.
Mike, you are SO GOOD at backing up your trailer....and I am SO BAD at it. Sometime, could you share your thought process? What are you thinking and doing as you backup the trailer down the long curved driveway?
Whatever you think, “Please keep producing great videos “. I look forward every week to seeing what you have for us.
Good Saturday morning Morgan family! Have a great weekend.
Good morning!
Do you answer your emails ?
@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans. I feel your frustration with the regen. I am sure the DPF % screen on the F350 has not been turned on but it is nice to be able to monitor how often the regen makes it back to 0%. I had to explain to the dealer how to turn that screen on in my 2019 F350.
😁Mike, what do you do with all the bark slabs you cut off the top, sides and bottom of all your saw logs for lumber? When I was a kid on the old farm our cattle barn and our corn crib were built mostly with bark slabs.😁
Mike,
I would tell you that you don’t know the headaches you “saved” yourself from, when you made the decision to equip your new dump truck with a gas motor, as opposed to the diesel…, “you don’t know, what you don’t know” (that quote is truer for me more and more every day).
Regarding whether you are a “TH-camr”, or whatever you title yourself as.., I would seek out what your viewers call or refer to you as. When I tell people about your channel, I say “I watch a guy on TH-cam that does wood & firewood processing, as well as equipment operation”.., my follow-up to that is, “he does a lot other stuff too”, but is an excellent all around channel.
Great video,
Thank you sir.
Mike if i am going to classify you i would say you and your family are excellent good honest hard working human beings something that a lot of this world today is lacking but still has a lot of left never mind what people want to classify you sir are a good person keep up the good work
Most TH-camrs I follow quit what got them subscribers and just do random tool reviews these days. I feel your production of your videos is just as good as if it’s a tv show, you never know which direction life takes you.
I appreciate that!
It doesn't matter what your title or job description is as long as you
are having fun and paying the bills. Have fun and stay safe!
My L3901 wants to do regens a lot. It seems that if i try to do the regen while using it, it never seems to get done. I have to let it set and run wide open for 10 to 15 minutes.
I operate a brand new cat 352 excavator ... when its in regen and its time to go home I shut it off. It just continues the burn in the morning . Also it almost never does a burn unless its been at a idle.
We still love yah no matter what you are keep doing what you love and you all be safe in all you all do God Bless
Great For The Environment. Glad The Government Is Protecting The Environment.
Mike, one of my favorite things about watching your channel is the music selections you make. Very cool stuff.. the opening song is awesome.
Yours is one of my favorite channels, I'm going to miss you
Mike - regarding the regen issue - and you and many of your viewers may already know this - what your loader is doing is cranking up the RPM’s to generate more heat so that the soot collected in the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is incinerated.
Consistently running a machine at low RPM’s without a regen will clog the DPF and w/o the regen function activating the machine will shut down and the DPF will need to be either serviced or replaced.
I have a Deere 320G. The machine will allow me to shut down partway thru a regen and will complete the cycle next time I start it up again.
I tended to run my previous machine (a 320E) at low RPM’s and wound up having to have a Deere tech rep replace a clogged DPF at a cost of about $2600. This repair cannot be done by the owner, as the DPF’s are serial numbered and have to be registered by Deere with the EPA.
So, yes, it’s annoying to have the machine cranked up to high RPM’s for what seems like an eternity, but the net result will be incinerated ash vs airborne particulates.
You are absolutely spot on with the emissions Mike!!
Hey I've been watching you for a while ,you have taught me quite a bit about what tractors will do and won't do ,so please keep it up I love watching you
Thanks 👍
You know, Mike, that there are people who will say anything nasty, just because they can! Don’t even read them, it will lead to depression! I watch your channel every time you post a video, I love to watch you working around and just living your life. Your kindness and compassion for those in need is awesome! Keep up the good work!
nice kindling katcher under the rex. good use for the ibc tote insert. cut one lower to fill with water to wash the dogs or fill withj cool water for the dogs on hot summer days
No matter how you categorize yourself, I'll still be watching your content. Youve all made huge strides since ive been watch which has been a longtime :) Keep up the great work
I have a large tractor and you cant see the forks past the hood, oh how easy it is to make a pack of timber go pair shaped. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. Being off level to the pack can cause similar dilemma. I like it how on both those forks you can see everything happening
Thanks for sharing with us Mike. Enjoyed the trip to the Kiln. he sure has come a long way with his business and what all he can do there. Glad he stays busy and you two work together so well. Stay safe around there and keep up the good videos and the fun you have too. Fred. Hey Hunter, haven't seen you for a while, miss your smiling face. Fred.
You AINT wrong & I can't argue with you 'cause you're right.
Mike & Melissa, I truly cannot tell you how much I appreciate all of your hard work that you both do and how much I look forward to viewing your videos... Keep doing what you are doing and and All will fall into place for you ~ Have a great weekend!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Take care and God Bless.
Regen comment is spot-on. My regens tend to always be when I’m finished.
I tend to have the opposite. Just as I start, it'll go into regen. Happened once when John Malecki's guys were over to drop off some wood for drying. Tractor wanted to regen in the middle of the offload...luckily I was able to bypass it until they left.
Question for you, how much time does it take per day for to set up the cameras, contemplate the shots, editing, uploading, etc. ?
Compared what you could do in that same time frame around the compound?
Oh good Lord lima bean Mike 😊 we are alllll hopelessly flawed and to each his own ! So please don't let anyone discourage you ! You are A number 1 in our book ! 😊 love to watch you split wood ...I've told u that b4 ! It's so relaxing ! Lolol ! 👍💛
I’m in the UK Surrey Hills and I think you have a great family and I watch all your TH-cam videos. Stay Safe Family Morgan!😊👍🏻
At 5:06 in the video I see the broken pallet leaning against the tree. I've been noticing this for several years. It stands out in an otherwise nicely maintained area. Can it make it's way to the burnpit?
I work on transit buses and I can tell you when we do a Regen after changing a dpf it puts of a huge amount of exhaust fumes out. It will saturate your lungs so bad I've had to hold my breath until I'm clear of the vehicle.
I intentionally purchased a pre emissions 44hp Kubota tractor so I would not have to deal with the horrible reliability of a dpf and def systems.
Great video Mike I really don't care about what you are called I like you and Melissa and I will watch you as long as you are making the videos keep up all that you do. God bless y'all
You don’t need a title or job description with us Mike! Just keep making great videos and we will be here!
How do you clean the sawdust from the side of the mill Mike?
The OWTM brand encompasses all that you do and is appealing to so many of us like minded people who love our families, our country and "the finer things in life".
Yea I’ve had to park my farm tractor running a few times when I was done to let it finish a regin. Heck I’ve loaded on the trailer got ready to shut off and bam regin, I just drove home with it running on the trailer. So dumb I agree. ☝️
How often do you have to shovel the sawdust. Like how many logs not time
Love your channel and web site , and by the way you can call yourself a Wood Tauber, keep them coming.
When you built your woodshed, did you face it a certain cardinal direction? Do you ever get snow rain blowing in more than you would like? It always looks perfect in the videos!
Whew Mike, you had me a bit worried that you were not going to be making you tube videos anymore but I’m glad you didn’t say that because I’m not a fan of facebook 😮😊❤
Mike, the debris that falls away from both machines on a 4-way split. Is there more with one compared to the other?
Mike that a lot of firewood in just a little time. Cool video!👍❤️
You're good.great at whatever you do! Well done, like the TH-cam flics a lot!
Mike my suggestion is Rex should be a sponsor, and give you that machine as it cranks out the wood as you mentioned, especially with 1 person.
Also know myself and many others look forward to every video you put out and hope you continue but if you life takes you elsewhere we wish you and the family the best.
Mike, you do a amazing work on your yube tube channel. Everyone has a different opinion if don’t like it. They can change channel. Have great day to you and your family.
"It's alright to be wrong".....CLASSIC!
Enjoy the videos ! Especially after delivering fuel all day!look forward to see the channel my last profession was landscaping and firewood and running equipment! Maybe someday I see the ford truck running up 79 most of my driving is on 79 lol keep up the channel
One of the chip trucks that I drive has to be regened all the time. Sometimes it takes 45 minutes for it to complete its regen. Definitely is an unnecessary burning of fuel. Always enjoy your videos. Mike, give the family my best.
Your DOC and DPF probably needs cleaning. I take mine out and blow the soot out with an air compressor.
Wow, what is wrong with me, I never thought of doing that. lol@@davidmorse8432
Hi Mike. Your " still" a TH-camr Mike. You & family share your family & business lives. Your " business life" teaches me about woodlands, firewood, & lumber. I personally want to do " husbandry" of the woodlands. What your doing exactly. But. I don't about marketing firewood & lumber. ( I haven't " dreamed" that far personally. ") I've always "dreamed" of doing firewood & lumber since my early 20s. I really enjoy " your way of business" Mike. Plus. Your my " brother" of another " mother" too. However. I'll respect your decision of leaving U Tube. Honestly. It will be a " sad day" for me. I'll always respect you Mike. That skid loader is a " beast." That walnut must have a high water content. 💪💪💪💪 Interesting wood flattener! 😍🙂😉👍 You know Mike. The "wood chips" leftover from all your firewood splitting machines. They can be " wood starters" too. After me & my youngest brother at time. We finished splitting wood by wood splitting maul axe & metal wood splitters. We take " wood chips" inside to dry. We use that to start our fires. ( If we had to. During our past cold spells. Our fire rarely went to completely into ashes.) Just my thought & my experiences. Thanks for your video Mike. Say Hi to Melissa, Eva, & Hunter for me. 😍🙂😉👍❤️💜🙏💪🌳🪵

Regen and having to run WOT all the time (to reduce regens) is my only pet peeve with my LX3310
should that bin be on a pallet? gonna fill up with some good kindling quick
When your dust chute hitys the dust pile it causes more dust to circulate on the wheels and cakes up the belts and blade. Thought you should know, ran a LT40 for 20+ years. Terry
Its like the ethanol mandate. How many small engines have gummed up?
Whatever makes you the most money that’s what you are. Great equipment you have.

Agree with you 💯 %
That walnut is nice looking stuff nice a have few good size in my yard but ya was 63 here love but back to the 30’s next week 🥴
Good morning Morgan family ☕️ Mike, regardless of a title… you are the guy 😎👍
Whether you are a wood guy or a you tuber guy l feel you are a heck of a person who brings alot too anyone you come in contact with. Be blessed and stay safe
I agree with you .Nice walnut . Whatever you figure out , Is okay with me .
Mike the bladder that you cut the top off of you can use them after you fill the ibc totes up with fire wood you can take the top or bottom and lay that back on top of the ibc tote and it will keep the rain and snow off your fire wood you may have to put a rock or peice of firewood on top of it to keep the wind from blowing it away
Who cares what you label yourself. As, you are in your happy place and making money. Keep smiling Mike as you are one lucky man.👍👍👍
Mike you have many, many titles from heavy equipment operator, wood guy, Tree clearer, Hunter's personal driver😄
I think as far as which splitter is faster, if you wood was perfect size to make 1 pass with either the 4way or 6 way on the wolf ridge I would say it's faster but when you have lots of bigger rounds I'd say the Rex is faster before your not having to keep pulling pieces back to re-split. The Rex is basically a vertical box wedge machine (just realized that) so it'll shine on the bigger stuff where the wolf ridge sweet spot is smaller stuff
Mike, I think you like the Rex 600 a lot!! Maybe, you might get one. Also, keep doing what you love doing.
I sure hope you don't give up TH-cam. I truly enjoy watching your videos. I have not had TV since 2001 so channels like yours are my evening entertainment. I feel your pain with the regen and I too wondered how that really helps save the planet. My JD4066M does have regen cancel button but I believe all that does is kick the can down the road and the next regen is sooner and even longer. Oh well, I guess there could be worse things to deal with.
The Rex is a great machine, one person can operate it but second person could be cutting rounds and loading the hopper . That would be real production plus you have got roof overhead,so you could use your new building for other things.
That regen thing on the diesel engines drives me crazy. I have a ram 3500 and right now the fuel milage is showing 6.6 mpg. Whats even worse I had a semi truck that i used to deliver fuel locally and the milage used to be as low as 3.1 mpg. Somehow this is better for the enviroment and helps save the planet. I really miss the simpler times when a diesel would run forever, now if a sensor smells some carbon the engine will darn near give up working and actually in most case it will derate till repaired.
"Government is Stupid". The best line I have ever hears from you, Mike!
You'll be fine, don't worry about the little things in life.
