    Try a e30 tune which you can run safely with the OEM pumps, you won't go back lol and that race would be a lot closer

    Just so you know you can probably get a better 0-60 by letting the car shift on its own. It will rev higher so you can get as much out of each gear as possible. Also, if you have the terrain package, I've seen an instance where putting the car into sand mode while also being in sport mode can give it a better launch.

    Let's see a V6 Twin Turbo vs V8 Super Charger pretty sure we all know before watching which is the clear winner.

    • @rocko_M
      @rocko_M 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Don’t underestimate the V6 Twin turbo engine… it doesn’t sound sexy but it does do damage. Example the Nissan GTR has a twin-turbo 3.8-L V6 making 565 or 600 HP. So it’s not a clear win just because it’s a V8 superCharged. My friend’s SHO makes 500 HP V6.

    • @MinTV701
      @MinTV701  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you go to ghtuning and find their power packages. They have a dyno graph showing stock numbers vs the AO tune on 93 octane and 93 octane with upgraded downpipes. Just the tune on 93 octane shows around 50whp gain. But the tune picks up a ton of low/mid range hp and tq over stock.

    You need Methanol on that explorer!!! You can run 89 octane and meth and get more power for less money.

    • @MinTV701
      @MinTV701  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it wasn't a daily driver, I'd probably go that route. But I'm not looking for anything too crazy out of it.

    • @charlieodom9107

      @@MinTV701 I daily two vehicles with methanol injection, a 2013 F150 and a 2016 Explorer, both have the 3.5L ecoboost. Filling up the methanol tank is as easy as filling the washer fluid. My F150 is actually using the washer tank for the methanol. I get much better gas mileage with the methanol, and can buy cheaper gas while keeping the same power. I don't run a variable octane tune, but I have a pretty aggressive knock advance setup.
      If I drive normally, the tank in the F150 lasts about 3 fuel tanks, but if I tow it lasts only 1 tank.
      The tank in the explorer lasts 3 or 4 fuel tanks at a minimum.

      @@MinTV701 I use a Stage 2.5 system from Snow Performance on both vehicles. I use dual smaller nozzles instead of a single larger one, and have them injecting a few inches before the throttle body. I use windshield washer fluid plus some methanol to make a 50/50ish mix. Tuning is very important, as you don't want too much or too little injection. Depending on how you drive, you'll want to set it up one of two ways:
      First method - Initial at low boost and full at max boost. This works great for most applications.
      Second method - initial at a higher boost (PE only) and ramping to full before max boost. This works best for max power, but you'll notice a hit when it kicks on. Harder to tune this way, and higher methanol content helps.
      The first method is better for daily drivers, and you can use dual nozzles to create a hit on full throttle for max power while saving methanol during normal driving. For example, use a 600ml stage 1 nozzle and add the 300ml nozzle for full throttle. I use dual 500ml nozzles on a somewhat logarithmic curve to save the juice when not needed.
