Good morning JD!
Really enjoyed this story about young Andy. I’m sure this was one of the most exciting things that happened in the area. Can you just imagine how fast and far word spread about this race, like wildfire. Great story and kept me riveted.
I hope you and your family have a very blessed weekend!
Thank you Willow! BTW make sure your subscribed to my other channel which is strictly storytelling, I released videos on Sunday mornings th-cam.com/users/theappalachiachannel
@@TheAppalachianStoryteller I will subscribe to your other TH-cam channel, thank you.

Awesome story J.D you sure do an awesome job with your stories.❤. Thank you for sharing. God bless you ❤
Thank you Mary ❤️
I did a report on Andy Jackson as a 5th grader (1967). The old Brittanica Encyclopedia I had, had a bit of this story in it. I mentioned it in my report, so I knew right away who he was. Your narration of this story was awe inspiring and I really appreciate hearing the whole story.
I got a A+ on my report and Andrew Jackson has been a favorite figure from history ever since. He had a crazy life!
Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for another great story! Already looking forward to the next one.
Thank you 😊
Awesome story... definitely a happy twist to the ending!
Thanks JD 😎👍❤️
Thank you Kathy! Have a blessed evening
WOW i did NOT expect that ending! At some point soon when I can I'm buying your book!!!!!
Thank you 😊
I grew up in Johnson City (I’m 72 ) and I never heard that story. Thanks. Most of the stories I heard of Erwin were of hangings, of the course the biggest one of those was of the elephant.
I want to tell the story of the Mary the elephant… but it might be too rough for TH-cam to handle
Excellent my brother 👏 ❤✨️🍁
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for another fascinating story. I follow you and look forward to seeing everything that you publish.

@TheAppalachianStoryteller +My pleasure mate..have a beautiful week
Proud to say that I'm a descendant of the great Jackson Family.....
Y'all stay safe out there 🙏
How bout that!
I'm 35 or so and have loved history since before the wild, wild world of endless ethernet cords and knowledge Lol had never heard this one tho!! I'm a rambler too and honestly wasn't a fan of the continuous use of excess wordage, but after watching till the end I completely understood why then. It was ALL needed for such and exquisite build-up and conclusion, always had to be proved wrong Lol thanks man, from Jessamine and Taylor counties 👍
Thanks so much brother, If im wordy, there's a reason down the road. Glad you enjoyed this one! Have a great Saturday!
Great story! Thank You!

Study up and do a story about David hog Greer. I have some literature about it and been to his cave . Found some of his left over metal detecting.
Wow, I just found that you did. Bravo!
Check out the hermit of bald mountain I did on his life
Thank you 😊
Appalachia turned out many a great leader I personally know Andrew Jackson is 3 Rd great grandson
👍🏼 that’s awesome
Yet Andy Jackson grew up to engineer the Trail of Tears.
Andrew Jackson was a complete and total S.O.B.
Hope you enjoyed this story, have a blessed weekend
Good story but I don't know what to say about Andy considering what he did to my ancestors. For some the tears still fall. 😞Took their way of life, took their land, took many lives and even took their children to force them to be white. And still fighting to get their bones buried at the Indian schools. A sad time of our history.
Thank you so much for sharing your point of you on this story
@@TheAppalachianStoryteller Did you know when he died in 1845 he had 110 slaves at the Hermitage with 59 being children? In 2006 they found the unmarked graves of 61 slaves dug them up reburied in a mass grave and built a memorial on top of them. Who does that? Many presidents and founding fathers had slaves and killed Indians but the trail of tears proved all men were not created equal. 😞
