What an amazing feeling it must've been receiving the Deed & keys to your new property; congratulations. Enjoy your new home, satisfaction of seeing the before and after effects once you've started clearing out the land. Enjoy every moment hey. 😊

It still feels surreal, and I have to pinch myself. I know we are really lucky.😊

First off congratulations to you both! Secondly I don’t know anything but have lots of suggestions! Hahaha 😂
Personally I’m a believer in smarter not harder. I feel this way because I am extremely lazy.😁
I would not remove the vegetation that’s gone flat to the ground. I would use a few goat and perhaps sheep to remove the weeds on the property. I would control their movement with electrical solar fencing. I would also have some chicken tractors in the works. These things will reduce your labor and regenerate the soils on your property. I think you would be surprised how quickly and good animals are at doing what comes natural to them. Lots of TH-cam showing how to get started in all these. Good luck

Obrigada, we will not be cutting down any cork oak as we know they are protected, and with the standard oak we will just be thinning out the little ones so the rest will get a chance at growing.

So you got the keys and then never SHOWED the house... but we had to watch you pull weeds for 20 minutes, seriously 😄? You have to have a plan when filming... a beginning, middle and end that would be of interest to your viewers. Looking at the befores of a wreck and watching it evolve is the fun part, hearing about what you'd like it to change into, who you are and what are your plans for the place... retirement home, farm, vacation home, air B&B? Trust me, I've seen plenty of weeds in my day and I know how to dispatch them. I'm here for the creative remodeling process. I'm sure there are plenty of videos on youtube on how to start a vlog to get some format info!
    Best of luck! 😉

You could get many subscribers if you did permaculture and regeneration techniques: not because nobody shows it, but because you're obviously beginners and your path of progress would be very interesting to show to others who are in the same position. Also, it really is the only way to treat the soil and micro-biology in such a dry climate. It's not your Island where the rain gods are too generous. Some of the big keys are diversity, soil and ground cover, shade plants and water retention systems.
Also, observe how your health changes as you exercise, eat your own grown food, get in the sun, and especially, confront your programming. Take care of your health with natural remedies too.
Looking forward to seeing how you get on.

You probably should be wearing a hat when working outside. It becomes very hot early in the morning plus your jin burns before you know it. Your land is relatively flat which will make it easier to trim.
