Hello Alexis! I'm definitely gonna learn AlexisRen but I was wondering, do you have two guitars? (One for standard tuning and another just to meddle with down tunings) Because since I only have one guitar, down tuning my 3rd string to E has caused my 3rd string to break twice after trying to tune it back to normal tuning (G). I've already put up a new string but I'm afraid to tune it back down in case it breaks again. Any advice? (I've already figured AlexisRen until the first verse :D)
TheKubbas Hi ! I have two guitars but i detune both to standard and open tunings ! It's not normal that your string break from G to E ! ( Not the third from the top right ? The third from the top is a B ) Maybe you should take lighter strings ? That is so SO awesome you work on it. I would love to see it :) Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the speedy reply Alexis! ^^ Well I counted my strings from the highest pitch to the lowest - therefore my '3rd' string is the G string >< (sorry for the misunderstanding!) and yeah it did break twice after bringing it up to pitch again! Thanks for confirming my 'double guitar' theory :D And yes, I'll totally show you my cover of it once I'm done, but I'll have to get another guitar to mess around these wonderful down tunes first though! Last question, did you also use your open tuned guitar for Passionflower?
TheKubbas Both guitars are open tuned ;) But yes, i used the same guitar for AlexisRen and Passionflower. The open tuning of Passionflower is noted on my cover video, same as original, i just pitched down the original ...
Sweet, thanks! I'm kinda curious though - let's say if you just finished playing AlexisRen and decide to store your guitar, do you leave it in it's open string position or do you have a 'standard' open string tuning for that particular guitar itself?
TheKubbas No, i just store the guitar with the actual open tuning and i write it on a note in my mobile ;) If i continue to play with that open tuning i do, if not, i change ( I can remember it cause i noted it ) to another open tuning or standard, depend of what i want to play !
I really think you are talented, I enjoy your music, but you need to get rid of that nasty sound and get yourself a good amp and a nice pickup such as a Mag-Mic or a Rare Earth Blend or simular. It will really make the difference. I think your music really deserves that kind of upgrade, it will turn your world into a whole universe.

Hey man i thnk this amazing! if you're ever in the chicago land area i have a guy in a studio that owes me more than a few favors, that's if you're not already recording anywhere. but i play myself, and i was wondering what equipment you use? my guitar has a rosewood frettboard, i think that may effect sustain, but overall i wanted to know what equipment you rocked. Hello Alexis! I'm definitely gonna learn AlexisRen but I was wondering, do you have two guitars? (One for standard tuning and another just to meddle with down tunings) Because since I only have one guitar, down tuning my 3rd string to E has caused my 3rd string to break twice after trying to tune it back to normal tuning (G). I've already put up a new string but I'm afraid to tune it back down in case it breaks again. Any advice? (I've already figured AlexisRen until the first verse :D)
TheKubbas Hi ! I have two guitars but i detune both to standard and open tunings ! It's not normal that your string break from G to E ! ( Not the third from the top right ? The third from the top is a B ) Maybe you should take lighter strings ? That is so SO awesome you work on it. I would love to see it :) Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the speedy reply Alexis! ^^ Well I counted my strings from the highest pitch to the lowest - therefore my '3rd' string is the G string >< (sorry for the misunderstanding!) and yeah it did break twice after bringing it up to pitch again! Thanks for confirming my 'double guitar' theory :D And yes, I'll totally show you my cover of it once I'm done, but I'll have to get another guitar to mess around these wonderful down tunes first though! Last question, did you also use your open tuned guitar for Passionflower?
TheKubbas Both guitars are open tuned ;) But yes, i used the same guitar for AlexisRen and Passionflower. The open tuning of Passionflower is noted on my cover video, same as original, i just pitched down the original ...
Sweet, thanks! I'm kinda curious though - let's say if you just finished playing AlexisRen and decide to store your guitar, do you leave it in it's open string position or do you have a 'standard' open string tuning for that particular guitar itself?
TheKubbas No, i just store the guitar with the actual open tuning and i write it on a note in my mobile ;) If i continue to play with that open tuning i do, if not, i change ( I can remember it cause i noted it ) to another open tuning or standard, depend of what i want to play !
I really think you are talented, I enjoy your music, but you need to get rid of that nasty sound and get yourself a good amp and a nice pickup such as a Mag-Mic or a Rare Earth Blend or simular. It will really make the difference. I think your music really deserves that kind of upgrade, it will turn your world into a whole universe.
