Watching this after watching since Minecraft muse days gives me such a warm feeling inside,hell I still remember the trailer for quest for the golden apple. It’s like seeing an old friend is still doing well
I have a simple hobby-level telescope, and yes the first thing that blows you away is Jupiters moons, you can clearly see them, and on some days they are far enough out in their orbit that you can see their orbital plane around Jupiter. The other, arguably better view is Saturn, you can see Titan, its largest moon, but you can also see its rings! it's just a pale oval far away but once you zoom in a little more you can clearly see the dark spots in between the rings and the planet, and almost perceive the 3-dimensionality of it, and some times of the year even Saturns shadow on the rings!
You really gave me quality content man, I had a great time watching your video, I love space, too much. I have other responsibilities but space always stays at the bottom of my heart, so when I'm more free Ill be able to dive deeper for my love of space. Maybe Ill meet you someday, in a campground far away, until then, see you good person. Take care.

Knowing the people I looked up to as a kid are still alive and well keep me moving forward for a better tomorrow. Am I crying? Or did I spill my water bucket?

The jupiter picture with the moons is awesome! I haven't done a lot of stargazing or astro-pictures (or whatever it's called) but once I helped a friend test her telescope (I forgot the model but it was a fancy one) and we got a pretty gnarly view of the moon. My whole sense of scale was wack because for about 30 minutes we thought the telescope was not working... then I thought "wait... let's... zoom out a bit" and that's where it we noticed, we were looking at the right thing... but we zoomed in TOO close. Once we got the full view I just couldn't believe my eyes. Getting that one impressive picture must've felt incredible!

This place is awesome and you have hotsprings right down the road at San Francisco hot springs! As a young hippie I spent many days in this area! Now that I am an old hippie, I hope to make it out there at least one more time!
@@markgibsons_SWpottery I never did, but early late 90's Darrell Allred who lived in Glenwood bought alot of property around the hot springs an closed the easy access!! The hippies were living down along the river im still friends with some, but only see a few these days!! Alot of them moved over to Sacaton mesa 3of them bought school tax land!! I used to hang with them for most of summer!! They finally moved on sold to some younger hippies that I see now an then!!
Very cool photos Sean. My only personal experience with night sky photography was some long exposures of the ISS a few years ago. Living in a built up area you truly miss so much detail from the night sky. I'll have to take a look at that dark sky website and see if there's any good sites near me and take trip myself
I have to experience this one day too. I live in London but I actually saw a meteor a few weeks ago at night and it took my breath away. What stunned me was how fast it was, and that single moment gave me the perspective of scale that you talk about here. Space is awesome and it's a real shame that light and other pollution spoil and sever our connection with nature in the cities at least, and like you say it's great that people like the IDSA and many others work to preserve and promote those experiences. anyway, great to see you post a video again, hope you're well

My partner and I went to the Lake Hudson Recreation Area in Michigan a month ago when the aurora borealis had a chance of being visible. It wasn't. The sky itself was more than worth it, though. -CaptainMinnette
There are dark sky maps online so I found one with the same darkness as the campsite you were at, less than 2 hour drive east/southeast of Tucson. Sadly, I believe there are also a busy flight east-west flight path, and while that probably doesn't obscure the stars, it can be annoying noise.
I know this probaply isn't nice to ask. But if you still have any kind of access to all your old Minecraft videos like Hermitcraft, The FTB co-op with your friend. Muse farms 2...
