I think you clearly place a blame of the fog arriving on Simon bringing along a new scope 🤣. Looks like a lot of fun. Great images at the end there too.
Very nice video Glenn, looks like lots of fun there. Great images and beautiful videoshots, that cloud inversion is epic. Looks like a very beautiful place to spend a weekend with friends.
HI Siegfried, thank you, It was a fun trip and we had a good time. The mist in the morning was just amazing, Like a lake in the valley. Its a very beautiful area and great skies for Astro
I wondered when you'd upload this yeah I think we all had a great time, sadly we can't make the spring camp but maybe we'll make the winter camp. Hope we'll see you at the PAS in a few weeks? Clear skies
Hi Tich, yeah it took me a while to sort through all the footage. Been so busy building my new obsy. I can’t make the next Cloudcamp but hopefully a later one too. I am going to PAS so be great to see you. Lets make time and all grab a coffee and sit down and catch up. Clear skies to you too
Brilliant video Glenn! We had such a great time mate! You reminded me of the fun we had, and we got a couple of clear skies! Thanks for sharing my andromeda image on your video mate! Your image came out very well, especially for the little time we actually got! Can’t wait do it all again, maybe next time, I’ll have my own camper😀 Clear skies Glenn
Thank you Simon, had a great trip away with you mate. The weather was rubbish but we had a good time and still managed to image the stars. Your Andromeda was a beauty mate, got a feeling your own camper will be there.
We should have blamed him but we did get clear skies. The week leading up to camp it had flooded they had so much rain so we were lucky really. Thanks for watching James
Its a super scope. Simon took a lovely image of Andromeda and the stars were perfect across the whole FOV. I am quite tempted, been looking at the ACL200
Great video Glenn, looks like you and Simon had a good time with a nice bunch of people , its a pity I no longer live in the UK it would be great to meet you all in person
Hmmm not sure of that. If you look through their website and paperwork there is no mention of FPL53 anywhere just reference to 2 x ED glass with air space. Where do you get this fact from please? Regardless it takes super images and is a very nice scope. I have read that its possibly FPL55. I even emailed Sharpstar for clarification, they never replied

I'd love to make it to one of these events, but I can't always help thinking that if I didn't get any shooting done that it would be a waste of time, however, there is a bit of fun going on when you're hanging around. I wonder if I could get a camper van through my purchasing department at home? Great video of the event Glenn. Hang on, I'm getting deja vu, didn't you share this video a few weeks back?
Hi Marc. Obviously you want the clear skies but the guys are such great fun it really doesn't matter. Loads to do and chat about. You should definitely get on one as they are well worth the effort. The Deja Vu might be Simon's video, I think we have some shared footage, his unboxing at least
Hi Sean and thank you. The Location is Montstay Farm, Ludlow SY8 2HE its shown as bortle 4 but its high up (approx 280m) and no LP so feels more like a bortle 3
We've tried organizing starparties here (Norway), and as one of the attempting organizers, I just seem to wonder - how do you plan stuff like this? Kind of weather dependant innit :p
Hi Joakim. The weather well lets be honest we cannot control. They are always organised around a New Moon so you have the darkest skies possible. Good luck and clear skies
What a great video Glenn Enjoyed watching it
HI Nik, Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Glad you enjoyed it, I had a fun trip
