Im guilty with Malleus. Leona, honestly I tend to justify the fact the devs are too shitty in giving him a more different side to him to make him an opposite of Scar.
He's not really the opposite of Scar, you see, Leona and Scar both share a lazy personality. Scar barely made any effort to rule the Savana and the same goes with Leona, he barely puts any effort in his studies and work unless absolutely forced to and he's not able to cheat out of it. There are other obvious similarities too, such as the both of them yearning to become the king and have revenge on those who wronged them, etc! I hope this character analysis helped! I hope I wasn't too much of a bother!

Unlike Scar who doesnt even care about the well being of others, Leona is the opposite, at least after the events of EP 2. Despite what he did, his dorm mates still look up at him, because there is still an admirable side to him that everyone knows, that Scar doesnt have. Leona isnt a coward, he even admits his plan against Diasomnia and is ready to face the consequences. He even provides things for his dormates, especially Ruggie, no matter how he treats him like a servant. Sure, Leona hated his nephew Cheka, but unlike Scar who emotionally and psychologically traumatized Simba, Leona never hated Cheka to a decree like Scar did. Leona still has that common sense that Cheka is still young to understand his position and the burden that comes with it. He constantly avoid Cheka cause looking at him reminds him of his fate, but he isnt heartless enough to do what Scar did to Simba. Leona also respects women (even if he acted like a jerk in front of Eliza). Would you ever imagine Leona doing what Scar did to Sarabi? No, definitely not. If Leona is anything like Scar, he wouldve dethroned his brother and cheka and be the king he wanted to be, but back in EP 2 he knows that if he did something heinous like that, he will never go anywhere. What makes you think he attended NRC after Cheka was born? Leona is fed up with his life and chose to ran away from his responsibilities and his past, exactly what adult Simba did. He feels more validated in Savanaclaw because for the first time, he feels what is like to be respected and admired. Leona might be similar to Scar in a way, but if you pay more attention to this, you will see that he's an opposite.

I liked Ruggie at first because he was small and blond. That's it, that's my type. But then I learned he was the cheeky type who likes to haggle and scam people for money!? Instantly became my most favorite character ever in everything, like everything. And luckily, he's underrated! I can enjoy this boy for myself while people simp for Malleus and Leona.

Jack and Malleus were the ones who caught my eye in the beginning. After playing until Book 3, these two became my favorites because they didn't give MC any trouble. Crowley should have at least gave MC a way to keep the others out of trouble and some armor.

@@amisan2840 i'm really bad at explaining- his last name is "Schönheit" in german there are letters we call "umlaute" ü,ö,ä which can also be spelled "ae, oe, ae" but nobody does this anymore- 1) the "sch" is basically just pronounced "sh" like in "sheet" 2) there are videos explaining how to pronounce the "umlaute" a little tip: try saying "a" and while continuing to make this sound tightly round your lips 3) the rest ("heit") is easy, it's pronounced the same vil pronounces it (i'm sorry if i made some grammar mistakes- i tried my best)
