What a fun and fabulous trailer! Impressive effects for something made 90 years ago. And of course Bill Powell is as handsome as ever❤
I couldn't agree more! Bill is always so charming 😍😍♥️♥️
I'm happy with this trailer. I've tried to find all the THIN MAN movies. I love them! Powell & Loy were MARVELOUS together. Very witty scripts, beautiful costumes, great support players. Brilliant entertainment.
I'm so glad you love the Thin Man movies! Bill and Myrna make such an iconic pairing and are so much fun 😍😍❤️❤️
The most interesting thing about this film to me is that the star , William Powell , was born in the same year ( 1892 ) that Robert Ford , the coward who assasinated outlaw Jesse James , was himself gunned down in a Colorado mining camp .
That is interesting! However, for me, personally, William Powell is far more interesting than a man who accepted JJ's hospitality and then shot him in the back. 😉
@@the_way_to_the_stars Fair enough . Then how about this - actor William Powell was born in the same year that Mrs . Margaret Neve of the Channel Islands would celebrate her 100th birthday . And she would finally pass on 04/04/1903 . So actor William Powel would be about 11 years old when she was still in the world !
Great facts! Here in the UK, the most interesting thing to happen in 1892 was that the adventures of Sherlock Holmes were first published. The link to Bill Powell being that his first film was Sherlock Holmes with John Barrymore.
@@the_way_to_the_stars A great piece of trivia for my poke of facts ! So yes , that film was released in 1922 , when William Powell was about 30 years old . That film was a silent film .
@@user-st6en5ts1hIt is! Incidentally, tomorrow is the anniversary of Roland Young's (Watson in the film) death day! 😃
The movie is a lot better than this rather lame trailer.
As it should be...
True. The trailer wanted to accustom the audience from philo Vance to Nick Charles..
basically a married/retired philo.
@silversurfergw Very true!!! Audiences adored Philo, so it was a very clever way to introduce the idea of a new amateur detective! ❤️
If This Had Been The Original Trailer, I Would've Given You A "Like". As It Turns Out, You Get The Other Finger. Thank You.
Thank you for your courteous comment. This is the original trailer from 1934, released just prior to the film.
@@the_way_to_the_stars Okay, I Stand Corrected. The Person Who Created This Trailer SUCKS! This Is The Worst Trailer I've Ever Seen & I've Watched A-lot Of Movie Trailers. Thank You.
This IS the original trailer, and it's great.
@MothGirl007 Thank you so much! I am so glad you love The Thin Man too 😍😍❤️❤️
