I have a history book of Texas that was written 100 years ago...it goes into taxes and its very interesting the slaves are worth more then everything else a person has land home all a person owned would be less then one slaves worth and the taxes on the slaves where the highest tax they paid. I hear people say most did not have slaves and the ones who did had alot of them but in that book some people have small farms and one slave but the way they talk about the slave is like a family member and seem to rely alot on them and one family sold off everything but still had to sell their slave and it really fractured their family they talk about how dear to them he was and how hard it was to basically betray him by selling him to people who would not see him as family. Its heartbreaking to read.
They were taught in church by racist preachers and twisted their minds. Treated and thought as family is lying. They even went after Sunday services beat them

NATIVE AMERICANS! Indians are in India
No one is native to America.
We could say we are all native Africans that immigranted but to me your native to the place of your birth especially if you are raised in that location.
Triggered much?
“Indian” is a recognized and legitimate legal term in the USA. You may not like it, but I get the feeling that you dislike much of reality.
