i pray every night that racing will be back to the old ways where if you had 4 friends and you came in first it doesn't matter if it was the shortest track in gta online you would get a whopping $13,750
loop on rockstar created races, it should be 1st $13,750, 2nd $7,500, 3rd $4,000 on Fan made tracks it should have a timer of where the big prize should be rnaging all the way from (1st) $50,000 because some asshole made 39 laps of the worlds longest track, right down to (1st) $2,000 because an asshole decided it was a good idea to make a race 500m
+MrWafflez000 Ehh. That would be too much. 50/50 would lead to way too much understeer. And considering it's based off the Lexus IS, it would make more sense to be at 70/30. I believe the Sultan is at 60/40 right now though.
Dude you have REALLY stirred things up this time. . .I have heard from 3 different sources (GTA Forums and two different people messaging me) telling me that the Banshee was "hot-fixed". Being me I asked "where did you hear about this!??" . . .everyone answered "Some YT guy named Broughy1322" LMAO. GREAT JOB GETTING THIS OUT, and backing it up w/ evidence!
Sure, R* did give it better performance and "fixed" it and I am as thankful about it as anyone else, but this shouldn't have taken this long. I mean, for God's sake, money glitches get patched in a couple of hours but this took them days, I don't know if it is programmer laziness or just an executive saying this wasn't very important.
Great job on getting this up so quickly B... I have a feeling that this may well be a temp fix as you've stated... If they did update the code and change any of the cars key values I believe that would have required an actual update, which they may not be willing to do just to fix one small issue. Its always better from a cost point of view to fix bugs in batches... I have believe we'll probably see actual changes to the code for this car in the next update... But who knows... R* innit! :-P
Thanks for the excellent video, as usual. My guess is that R* will eventually make a proper fix to replace the current band-aide. I'm going to wait for the proper fix, and the resultant Broughy video before deciding whether or not to buy a Banshee 900R.
I think they had changed something (or something went wrong) after 1.31 update like gravity or friction, since I noticed a small difference in all cars handling (they were a little bit more stable and easier to handle in my perception). Then when they released the banshee, which was meant to be the fastest car from the beginning, they noticed that something was wrong and fixed the ""gravity/friction coefficient?"" fixing the banshee and all the others. Now after the 1.32 I noticed the handling went back to like it was before... Could someone verify or refute that? ;D
+Matheus Caixista I noticed that too after the 1.31. It was a much better racing experience. BTW this theory might also explain the Rockstar's Newswire post saying "900R can even compete with top tier supercars.." The 900R was meant to be the fastest by the vehicle stats x game physics, but when it didn't work they stumbled upon some anomaly creating fluctuations in even the most simplistic equations that if left unchecked would constitute an escalating probability of disaster killing everyone connected to the GTA, which coupled with the extermination of Zion will ultimately result in the extinction of the entire human race.(sorry couldn't resist the quote).
good video i also noticed some weird shaking in first person. cant remember if it was in the v12 or khamelion same for the train (its a mod). before this, the train was gliding on the tracks. now its shakes a bit
+Broughy1322 Btw They tinkered around with the backround scripts on gta, but this is just temporary. I think that maybe in the valentines day dlc they might fix it properly. But u probs already know all this. Just a heads up :)

What really boggles my mind it the fact, that Rockstar didn't put these cars in the sports class to compete with the Massacro - and Jester Racecar. I would much rather see them a bit slower to be at the pace of the Jester / Massacro instead of having them in the Supers-class, rendering them completely useless for us racers. Race cars competing with other race cars apparently doesn't make sense for Rockstar.
Hey broughy, check the engine upgrade on banshee 900r. when you cycle from stock to level 4, it changes the top speed stat. this is the first time I've ever seen an upgrade change a car's speed stat. Weird.
A very interesting video. Like the situation is, nobody knows whether this is just a Bug. I am keen to find out what happens with the Banshee 900R, despite the fact I don't have next gen it's one of those things I'd really like to know whether this is a permanent thing or not. Great video, thank you. By the way, you did an awesome Live Stream on Sunday and thank you for the shoutout at the end and your Livestream, it really did make my day :)
+Broughy1322 No problem at all and thank you :D Just to be sure, on Sunday, it was the 12 Hour Live Stream on Twitch that you did. Keep up the great work
A car with built in kerb-boosts, sounds like the wet dream of a SB hotlapper xD. BTW one question, does the new banshee 900R get benefits from usual bumps and kerbs on the road, or is it unable to get extra boosts?
+ravendra pratama please, these updated were planned so far in advance of brough's article. they could hardly have had time to consider the article before releasing this
Hey man, I love your videos, I just wish I could get in on some racing, none of my friends really like to race, do you have a crew or something set up for racing? Really glad they put in a fix for the banshee, been one of my favorite cars since GTA3 :)
The engine block upgrades that used to only change acceleration now changes top speed on the Banshee. Infact, if you quickly scroll through the upgrades, the system glitches and you can almost fill the top speed bar.
I wish the would do a legitimate performance upgrade to the Sultan RS and the 900R. Even with this nee "fix" my Banshee is probably never going to see the light of day.
+Logan Crow A slight performance upgrade on both cars would be welcome, but I would really prefer seeing them in the Sports class, where they belong and with other "racing" cars (ex: Massacro, Jester...)
+Logan Crow I feel the very same every time I see my 900R in my garage. It looks amazing but I know I am never going to use it, maybe just once on route 68 race course later tonight to see if it has gained speed and that will be it. I don't race boring straight road courses like that normally, so that will be my first and last race with it
Do you think the fact that theyv already advertised it as a super car competitor, will prevent them from ever putting it in the correct class. (even though they wouldn't anyway)
Just from experience as a drifter, and this is the same for all drifters for that matter, the Rapid GT is the best drifting car, but also the most high-maintenance drifting car in GTA V history. Even a small dent to the cars fenders renders it useless and needing a repair, and this usuallyis because of its traction. although drifters use a lowering glitch that reduces traction, the car loses all controllability when damaged for some odd reason, which is very hard to do to any other drifting car. It is the reason why the Rapid is one of the hardest cars to drift.
I was talking with a friend yesterday about a Workshop update that showed up on my Steam related to GTA V. I found it very weird, because I couldn't conceive Rockstar adding Workshop mods into GTA V, and the update download was only showed as "0kb". Some people on internet had that update showing up on their steam as well. Turns out it was just a bug. But then this video shows the same Rapid GT suspension glitch is, somehow, now applied into the Banshee 900R. It makes me wonder if it that update was really just a bug after all...
Does the fact that it's essentially constantly on an 'Auto-bump boost' possibly reduce the positive impact of additional bump boosting? if so, then I'd guess that R* did add this as an intentional method of patching both the 900r and kerb boosting. On a side note I also wish they'd raise the off road traction loss to 2 or 2.5 for supers, because the greatest off roader is definitely not a sodding koenigsegg!!
my guess would be this change is in responce to the false advertising claim and maybe that claim was made by other people aswell and could of lead to them getting into trouble officially or people really losing faith with rockstar . they must understand that other game creators could make something similar to gta but add the racing content that you all desire and thats the end of rockstar . either way its a huge gamble by them to ignore a significant part of their customers . keep up the good fight and good clips mate :)
Sounds like a temporary bodge while they develop a full new handling line and test it. Hopefully this at least shows a willingness to improve rather than stick with the old but stable all the time. Maybe we will see some results in the long run.
I do not know if this is true but if you look at off-road tires which has much more rubber than a high-end tire would you also get a higher top speed with high-end tires because they bounce more? or am i just a idiot?
+Broughy1322 I trust you completely only I do not quite understand this because I've seen the video of yours where the off-road tires make the zentorno's ride smoother, because the rims do not collide with the cerbs. or Is that not the way it works?
+Broughy1322 so if I understand correctly: you'll go over the bumps/curbs more easily but the boost still the same? I already race with that mentality but the thought never occurred to me.
Might want to try messing around with the comet. My comet's top speed is 186 atm. althought I saw a YT video of someone getting up to 200+. Just an Idea, Great video.
+Joe Stacks in online I went 170 with a hakouchou in online going to del perro doing wheelies and being a hardcore racer dodging traffic I went 166.11 mph fully upgraded no glitch just fully upgraded with wheelies
Hi Broughy, If you are able to, can you please do a video on best cars according to their top speed and price ratio. Do you think the sultan and the surano are the best value cars out right now?
My guess is its a hotfix also. Maybe game devs have a strict quantity of updates per year (I know microsoft charges them to release updates) and cannot waste one for this alone and this method is the only means of doing a change unofficially. IMO we cannot come to a conclusion until the next update or they actually release some information on the bloody subject
Hey Broughy, a while back you mentioned that lowering suspension isnt that big of a deal, with this behaviour and knowledge more known since then, would it now be better to start lowering suspension on cars?
I used this car earlier on an airport track, the record on the track was a 1:36. After just one race the record was broken by half a second. The track wasn't full on straights, it had plenty of corners in it. I'm curios to see if this car is competitive with the Entity and Turismo on airport tracks, but first impressions on airport tracks... It's right up there.
Maybe they have a hoxfix mechnism, where a temporary file gets downloaded, or even just a stream, which is never stored to the filessystem, so they might be able to change the actual in-memory parameters and overriding the standard parameters. I have a similar mechanism in my own racing simulator. Regards
I have also heard/read that the NON armoured Schafter V12 is now available in both the sports and SEDANS class. I am yet to check this out for myself but if it is true, Rockstars 'fix' logic is beyond rationalising. As usual, great job Broughy.
+Broughy1322 Ah okay, sorry I was misinformed, thanks for the info...still...the fact it's stock version is available and not the custom and also that the stock is even in the sedans class in the first place.... Uhh never satisfied.
it sounds like rockstar may have more categories to determine speed than whats on broughy's spreadsheet. if shock density plays a part then what about wheel base or chassis size. how is it that they have managed to create 4 super cars on near par with such variation in design
Could there be some bug of the suspension upgrade, that like you said the wheels more often have contact with the car chasis which creates some ref boosts similar to the curb boosting effect?
I haven't actually driven the 900R yet, but is it a really easy car to drift? I was wondering because, from the footage, it looks like it really wants to go sideways when you hit a bump.
@Broughy1322 do you think the banshee 900r's top speed in a straight is a bit over powering vs the hyper cars of the game that are expected to be the fastest?
So they essentially used a glitch from their own game that shouldn't be in the game in the first place, to fix a vehicle they just fucked up on, when all they had to do is go on a computer and change a couple values in the game code and it would've been fixed. GG Rockstar
I think those wide body cars were planned early in the game but they didn't have time to work on them properly and didn't release them (like the casino and some other stuff). I'm thinking of this because of the Feltzer, it has a heavily modified wide body, you can put huge spoilers on it and it looks exactly like what it could have been after a transformation at Benny's from a standard version of the car. And why am I probably right ? because the Feltzer was already playable in GTA IV without any visual mods, it was a standard car without any wide body.
Hey Broughy first of all i love your viedeos you did an awesome job with all that GTA fakts u share with you community but i have a question does the Suspension of a car effects the way and the handling going over kerbs
Unfortunately I learned it the hard way. I had a banshee 900r up until a couple of weeks ago. I was feeling it lacked the top speed of the big 3 supers (a stock tyrus in that straight line at plummet track could reach my fully upgraded banshee, and a stock re-7b could pull away from my fully upgraded banshee in a straight line and even in the corners), and cornering was very risky. You had to slow down very much in order not to spin out in tight corners. It's a beautiful car, but it definitely lacks the performance to match up with the supercars. Now I get what broughy wanted to say about that this car doesn't really belong in this category.
I think they might have madr this change for drifting because now that the car is slammed it's one of the top drift cars in the game. I always test a cars drifting capabilities around that figure 8 in Richards majestic and the Banshee 900R is now up there with the Futo and the Faction Custom. You can sit the thing sideways the whole way without it gripping up and putting you in the barriers, very controllable.
hi, when the wheels where shot on the rapid gt, they weren't bullet proof were they? I have tried with bullet proof tires and it doesn't work. But just checking to see if it's the same in your case.
Might just be me (placebo etc) but I've raced the Banshee 900R both stock and fully upgraded today and the stock version still seemed to handle great...
I honestly think Rockstar is trying to play around with fine tuning cars for future updates. Now after a silent tweak, the Banshee 900 without dropping it is the fastest in a drag environment. As much hate as the Sultan is getting, I think it too has a niche. The Sultans acceleration is other worldly, especially with the new super transmission upgrade. I can start missions in the Sultan, and off the start vaporize super cars. Granted in long drives they eventually catch back up, but that's to be expected with better cornering and top speeds.
Hey Broughy, im newly introduced to your channel, and have seen alot of your videos already :D live it, but i ave a thing that you might want to investigate, is doubly clutching really worth it in gta v??
One thing I did to my Banshee was not lower it all the way, for some reason the next to last suspension upgrade drastically helped my banshee corner and it didn't bottom out going through turns as bad. Perhaps if you took it around a circuit one more time with a different suspension it would yield better results.
+PTMxCh00bX .....really, how long have you watched this channel/played the game??? Lol suspension makes a HUGE difference in the way cars turn. The better it is the "heavier" & tighter cars feel when turning, making them more stable
Suspension has very little effect on car performance beyond driving style differences at the highest level. To answer the original question the footage you saw was with the second to last suspension upgrade. Every single time I've ever tested suspension I've never found a difference in overall performance.
Actually this made it worse for me. xD I am planning on a crew event where the Banshee would be the only car available and it would get spawned for those who don't have it. As a backup plan (if they destroyed their car midrace) all the players who'd get it spawned could take a stock T20 as that *was* about the same pace as the Banshee. Also I don't like how the car feels now. If this was intended as a fix, I'd rather like them changing some values.
I was watching this video in a noisy hall without headphones so I might have missed some information in the video. Was this an actual patch you needed to download manually, or was it a "stealth" hot-fix? Also, have you observed changes to any other cars? Again, apologies if this was answered in the video, I'm curious.
hey broughy, it is worth looking at the classic sports cars in terms of topspeed! i can easily overtake the adder with my casco. it does more than 130 mph! i do not have the data but i see it everytime i play a coop mission with other players driving supercars.
If they actually changed the stats of the car they would sort of be admitting that they did something wrong. I don't think they like to do that, so they sneakily did this.
Hey Broughy this isn't quite relevant but I accidentally deleted the bookmark for the PS4 version of Cutting Corners and can't seem to find it. It would be a great help if you could leave the link, thanks!
It's amazing how you are able to upload such a good and in depth video in such a short period of time. Just had to be said. :P
I work hard :) Thanks!
+Broughy1322 Thanks man!
+Broughy1322 thank you
awesome work bro
👍
This guy just goes into such depth which I respect a lot
I try my best!
Either way your ranting video about this car still stands, because it is such a good rant about it lol :)
:D
i pray every night that the Sultan RS gets 50/50 AWD and 0 off road subtraction
i pray every night that racing will be back to the old ways where if you had 4 friends and you came in first it doesn't matter if it was the shortest track in gta online you would get a whopping $13,750

GallopingWalrus are you sure the RS is though? I swear it barely gets any in the front
+GallopingWalrus It's clearly based off a Subaru WRX STI...
They really do need to hire you for car balancing.
The Banshee life just got better! :D
Enjoy :)
My life didn’t
You proove this concept, hours later bigger youtubers quickly make race testing videos to cash in on this change.
Haha yeah that's pretty much how it goes :)
Turned a broken car into the fastest broken car. Great Job.
Still trash
Great content!
* I have great appreciation for you, because you don't click-bait your titles! Keep it up. btw. Just subbed to you *
Thanks I appreciate that! :)

This video type blew my mind with the adder comparison lol good performance analysis
So informative great job broughy! You really serve this community well
Happy to :)
one of your best videos yet
Rockstar are just too spooky now...
Nice vid, brough :D
Nicely done, as usual, Broughy.
The details in the video is a pleasure to watch
This video should be on the Top Speed Series, would help a lot
Great detective work, as always!

Well, now the Banshee can "compete with top tier super cars such as the T20 and Zentorno" on Long Haul 2 :P
very interesting. I'd heard about that this morning. good to see it tested.
The Rapid GT is one of the worst cars in GTA 5 for one huge reason: When it gets in a frontal crash the steering capability is destroyed.
Just get armor
+TYFLOL That just makes the steering crap in 2 crashes instead of one
Styx Renegade true
+Styx Renegade every little bit matters I guess.
+Bryan “Johkah” Estep Mamba is the same way, maybe even worse
8:18 did I hear they right? Was the Truffade Z-Type the fastest car in the game before the 900R?
Indeed it was

fuckingimpossible yeah well,that's my thought
Owen Goldberg cause there up graded like a engine swap
@Broughy1322 I have heard the Banshee 900R and the Sultan RS have bin fixed in the last update. Can you test if that is correct?
They're identical to how they were in this video

+Broughy1322 now I understand it still is gta 5 physics thanks.
+Broughy1322 so if I understand correctly: you'll go over the bumps/curbs more easily but the boost still the same? I already race with that mentality but the thought never occurred to me.

+Joe Stacks in online I went 170 with a hakouchou in online going to del perro doing wheelies and being a hardcore racer dodging traffic I went 166.11 mph fully upgraded no glitch just fully upgraded with wheelies
damn.
This^
Is the 900R actually fixed ? It depends on your definition of fixed. very good line Broughy
:)
also congrats responding this fast
thanks broughy gotta keep them eyes on those 2
Wish we could 'tweak' performance styles. I'd want insane acceleration just for drifting with this car.
Hey Broughy, a while back you mentioned that lowering suspension isnt that big of a deal, with this behaviour and knowledge more known since then, would it now be better to start lowering suspension on cars?
5:05 how did you make that customization? It looks really nice.
Hmm... Interesting. I'll still be keeping my Sultan RS though.
this is probably a temporary fix until they make the next update where they may actually change the car's code to make it better permanently
It suffers in terms of traction to those vehicles but not by too much. Depends whether you can keep the speed up.
Curious*
Maybe they have a hoxfix mechnism, where a temporary file gets downloaded, or even just a stream, which is never stored to the filessystem, so they might be able to change the actual in-memory parameters and overriding the standard parameters. I have a similar mechanism in my own racing simulator.
Regards
I have a feeling they're going to be making more changes tbh... I knew they would at least try fixing the Banshee issues
I have also heard/read that the NON armoured Schafter V12 is now available in both the sports and SEDANS class. I am yet to check this out for myself but if it is true, Rockstars 'fix' logic is beyond rationalising.
As usual, great job Broughy.
Its stock form has always been available in the lobby screen in Sedan races since it was brought out
+Broughy1322 Ah okay, sorry I was misinformed, thanks for the info...still...the fact it's stock version is available and not the custom and also that the stock is even in the sedans class in the first place....
Uhh never satisfied.
Thx man always informative
Happy to help
@Broughy1322 Quick question; since you play on a PC, does the spreadsheet data also apply to the same cars on the PS4 version???
Yes
it sounds like rockstar may have more categories to determine speed than whats on broughy's spreadsheet. if shock density plays a part then what about wheel base or chassis size. how is it that they have managed to create 4 super cars on near par with such variation in design
Could there be some bug of the suspension upgrade, that like you said the wheels more often have contact with the car chasis which creates some ref boosts similar to the curb boosting effect?
which means that every car is affected more or less by this effect
As I showed that is pretty much what's happening but it only happens to the 900R. It has nothing to do with suspension upgrades either.
Not really. It at least gives an alternative on long highway races
So they essentially used a glitch from their own game that shouldn't be in the game in the first place, to fix a vehicle they just fucked up on, when all they had to do is go on a computer and change a couple values in the game code and it would've been fixed. GG Rockstar
Pretty much yes.
Yo B, have u checked out Wiseguys video? The cars drift ability has changed drastically.
No outcry for the Brawler? It still doesn't come with brakes.
The brawlers brakes are manageable as long as you don't slam them down fully. You need to be careful about locking them up.
+Broughy1322 The Slamvan on the other hand...
+Johnny362000 And the Hot Knife. That thing stops like a freight train.
Hey Broughy first of all i love your viedeos you did an awesome job with all that GTA fakts u share with you community but i have a question does the Suspension of a car effects the way and the handling going over kerbs
Not really
+Broughy1322 ty for the quick response and keep up the good work
Have you retested the original Banshee or other "slammed" vehicles?
Fastest Fact Finding in the history of Fact Finding :-)
Pretty much, although I think the Turbo bug video (ep 2) was the quickest from finding out about it. I worked so hard to get that done XD
I feel like Broughy has given up more and more on R* supporting racing :P
Didn't even watch with audio on and I can see exactly what's going on. Come on rockstar jeez you had one job! Anyway great work Broughy :)
Haha I guess I should take that as a compliment that my videos make sense even without sound XD Cheers!
+Broughy1322 the fact that when you hit a kerb you get the kerb boost and it looks like mdsb kicks in aswell haha
Is it as grippy as the etr1 (I have an etr1 if this helps) and the tyrus or it's as drifty as the normal banshee? I'm thinking of getting one.
It's nowhere near on the pace of the 3 new supers
I see.....thanks for the answer.
You can sit the thing sideways the whole way without it gripping up and putting you in the barriers, very controllable.
hi,
when the wheels where shot on the rapid gt, they weren't bullet proof were they? I have tried with bullet proof tires and it doesn't work. But just checking to see if it's the same in your case.
I really don't know I'm sorry
Might just be me (placebo etc) but I've raced the Banshee 900R both stock and fully upgraded today and the stock version still seemed to handle great...
I honestly think Rockstar is trying to play around with fine tuning cars for future updates. Now after a silent tweak, the Banshee 900 without dropping it is the fastest in a drag environment. As much hate as the Sultan is getting, I think it too has a niche. The Sultans acceleration is other worldly, especially with the new super transmission upgrade. I can start missions in the Sultan, and off the start vaporize super cars. Granted in long drives they eventually catch back up, but that's to be expected with better cornering and top speeds.
does this shooting tyres glitch work with every car?
and would shooting the wheels of the banshee 900R do any more to it?
What is the best suspension level for 900R ? Sport ?
Hey Broughy,
im newly introduced to your channel, and have seen alot of your videos already :D live it, but i ave a thing that you might want to investigate, is doubly clutching really worth it in gta v??
Not really in most racing situations. For short drag races yes.
+Broughy1322 thank you for the reply :)
And now i got to the video that braced the subject, sorry for the repetition of subject, and calling it double clutching :P
One thing I did to my Banshee was not lower it all the way, for some reason the next to last suspension upgrade drastically helped my banshee corner and it didn't bottom out going through turns as bad. Perhaps if you took it around a circuit one more time with a different suspension it would yield better results.
+garthshark I thought suspension didnt change shit
It can effect cornering just enough to bottom out certain cars.
Actually this made it worse for me. xD
I am planning on a crew event where the Banshee would be the only car available and it would get spawned for those who don't have it.
Hot-fix. No other changes.
***** Ok. Thanks for responding. Can't wait for the Valentine's Day video soon!
In that other video you showed the rapid gt going 145 MPH when slammed, was that speed accurate?
Yep
hey broughy, it is worth looking at the classic sports cars in terms of topspeed! i can easily overtake the adder with my casco. it does more than 130 mph! i do not have the data but i see it everytime i play a coop mission with other players driving supercars.
would putting off road tires on the Banshee RR make the handling better going over curbs?
Off roads were on the car shown here. It's still pretty rough.
It would be a great help if you could leave the link, thanks!
bit.ly/BroughysTracks - It's Cutting CorOners btw :)
+Broughy1322 Thanks a lot and oops!
So in other words, put a washing machine with a bowling ball in the trunk, and you will break 300mp/h? :D
