Thank you! I am 74, and teach a hybrid class for older folks. I enjoy variations, and you provided that, with a lovely mindful presence. Namaste from Santa Rosa CA
Thank you, Corey. I just did the whole 42 minutes with you. I put your video on my huge home theatre screen and it was remarkable. I will defintely buy your dvds. Thank you for this incredible yoga lessons, Corey. Remarkable! Fun. Relaxing.
This and your chair yoga for legs are my daily routines, alternated. It makes a very noticable difference to my arthritis and healing from knee replacement. The perfect tone, and you remind me to relax things just when I've tightened them!! You are an excellent instructor.
Thank you, I like your clam voice sharing the instructions. Keeps my mind still. I had a hip replacement 20 mths ago and have been wanting to do yoga to stretch my, oh, so tight body. You say if we feel any tension don't do it or do what you can. Most of these I feel pain in my back, hips, neck, left shoulder in the positions. But I stretch it out anyway. I can't cross my legs, way too painful to do that in my hips. I'm going to a Chiropractor and acupuncturist to help relieve all the pains. I'm working towards being able to go to a regular yoga class. I want to feel like I did before the operation again. The breathing, is the best part feeling exhilarating, tingling through my whole body, nice. I'm 70 and the doctor says all my tightness is natural, I'm getting older but I'm not buying that. 20 mths doesn't take 20 yrs out of me. Thanks again.
I found your yoga practice yesterday. Yes, I know its been around for a while but what can I say. In isolatation - I found it so useful. Thanks Corey and Kevin (music was just perfect for me).
Thank you for this calming exercise. I use it with my elementary students for a break or for physical education. I have been using this video for years, especially when students were having a bad day. LOL! Some were falling asleep.
WONDERFUL VIDEO! I am now a subscriber. You practice yoga the way I learned it thirty years ago - slowly, with no jarring or jumping movements. Unfortunately, I did not keep it up. This is my first winter in retirement, and I feel the effects of being sedentary where any excursion causes my back and leg muscles to ache terribly. I was in just such a condition having been out shopping 2 days ago, and knew I had to take action to overcome this debility. After doing your video, I noticed an IMMEDIATE improvement in my mobility. Though still sore, I am not wincing in pain. Thank you so much. I will try to maintain these exercises with hopes of moving on to the floor practices - my knees are not up to that yet. By the way, I love your soothing voice through each movement. Bravo!
I really like your yoga videos. I purchased two DVDs yesterday. This one and the Beginning gentle yoga. My Yogi does a combination of both in her classes. Thanks again Corey for the one on one instruction.
Thank you so much for this channel. I have limited mobility due to arthritis, and this is the perfect answer for me to increase my activity. God bless you!
A really well instructed video. Clear and slow. Very suitable for seniors. Its also a pleasant surprise to see a young man demonstrating it. :) The tone of instructions is definitely a yogic way. Well done corey!
Wow dude, nobody makes me nod out. I usually just are up or out. Blew my mind. Keep The Spirit Going. Namaste. Ps.I love how my brain is oozing white light. I used the breathing technique i was taught where you inhale threw your stomach lift the air up into the rib cage and when you exhale you imagine and feel the air leaving your stomach then your chest in and out the nose slow and easy and my brain exploded. Aloha.
Excellent video. I use this one regularly. Since I have lower back problems, I do - as you suggest - switch out some of the crossing knee movements for others. Thank you
I'm so glad I found your channel....I'm definitely subscribing! I haven't been able to do yoga since getting in an accident 18 months ago. This is exactly what I needed... Thank you!
Thanks so much for this wonderful series of gentle yoga exercises. They're at a level that I can cope with and I'm enjoy doing them. They're helping me increase my flexibility and I also like the 'mindfulness' aspect as well. Very much appreciate you uploading them for all to share.
thank you for this video. I have arthritis and recently am recovering from knee injury from a few months ago.I may not be able to cross my legs anymore but during these moments I will do the upper body portions and it has helped my arthritic lower lumbar as well.
Such great videos. Is it my imagination or do you still change them a little bit once in a while? I use them everyday with my patients at a state psychiatric hospital. They've made a big difference in awareness. Thank you for such a lovely tool.
Thanks it's helping my fibromyalgia but I have to slow down, take it easier, as i don't feel the affects until a day later and for several days after. Will try doing this 3 times a week and see if that lessens my post exercise pain and fog.
Thank you for your videos. This helped me with my own yoga chair yoga classes. BTW some seniors doesn't want to be bare foot so now I understand why u have shoes on.

The yoga poses are perfect, music great, just not sure why he is wearing street clothes and not some comfortable workout clothes. It didn't relax me seeing him dressed in jeans and shirt.
It's a good practice...just a bit disappointed that this young man is practicing yoga in street clothes instead of comfortable yoga or work-out clothes....and what about the shoes? We want to be able to connect to the earth's supportive energy as we ground down through the feet...don't we? :)
+Effie Wood Hello. The reason I am practicing in everyday clothes and shoes is because I want to demonstrate that mindful chair yoga is an accessible practice that does not require special materials and can be practiced in a variety of places and under different circumstances (i.e., at work). Take care, Corey
+MindfulChairYoga - I do understand Corey. It's of course one way, and certainly a good way, of looking at it, especially when (as you said), people practice in a different setting, other than a studio or gym. But still, practicing with shoes on is definitely a no-no, if I may be so honest? It prevents the practitioner of "feeling" the nurturing and stabilizing energy of the earth beneath their feet...and also...shoes are way too bulky? It may be uncomfortable in certain poses, which in turn, creates distraction...But in any event, as a Yoga Instructor myself, I want to share that I like your practice! Your teaching skill and cues are excellent....compared to some of the other videos I have watched. You too, take care Corey. :)
Yes, we can feel the energy of the earth. You are simply not there yet. It takes an experienced Yoga Teacher to observe and embrace such nurturing energy. And so sorry to hear that you call me rude. Finding me rude may just be a reflection of who you are.
+MindfulChairYoga Your street clothes encouraged me to stop and check out your video. I'm looking for a chair yoga video for a senior friend who would be benefit from yoga but would not want to learn anything more than the movements and the practice of noticing. This is a great video. Thank you!
