There are songs that you hear and you love them for a few weeks/months.Then there are songs you hear and you love them for the rest of your life.Used to watch this on a saturday morning when kids tv was brilliant.32 years later, my daughter now watches it and we both sing along to the fabulous theme tune.......
I saw this when i was young the tune stayed with me untill this day,it was a great show,i wish tv could be like this now but it is crap fantastic memories of the good old days when i was young with great programmes like this
What a lovely dog. I was only a small boy when I watched it. I cried for ages when I found out the dog that played London had died. Very touching series to watch. I loved the innocence of the program. This song takes me back to a better time.
ouch.... maybe the last episode I ever watched ended my childhood too...... I'll forever have this song..... it's a memory opener , brings my childhood too my mind and heart every time......
Wow - I'm overwhelmed by all the comments on here about our theme song. It's a shame that the original version is not hooked up to this thread. But I wanted to thank everyone for your comments and tell you how humbled I am by the sentiment this song has for so many of you. All the best, Terry Bush & my co-writer John Crossen who wrote the lyrics for me !
I used to love this when i was younger, seeing this brings back good memories, reminds me of my old German Shepherd i used to have, shame they dont live as long as us:(

I still remeber when I was much younger in South Africa and I used to love this song, just before watching the episode. Now I'm living in Portugal and I miss those old days.
I really enjoy the 1979 ending, I love how London is strolling down a peaceful sunny street and running through a beautiful forest and at the end he strolls down an abandoned set of railway tracks as the camera pans out to more beautiful scenery. I also appreciate a clip or the next episode being shown during the ending or the first.
This is one of the most beautifull songs i've ever heard. The TV series was such a tearjerker. I hope they make another. As a boy I used to watch this series and I would cry in bed afterwards wishing London was ok and would make it home again. That was over 20 years ago!! lol.
