    Your videos have been very helpful in portraying the Ukrainian people, language and culture to other people outside of Europe. Most people in the United States do not recognize that Ukaine and Russia are separate cultures and have their own language. Thank you for being such a dignified cultural ambassader of the Ukrainian people! New York City fan!

    So true that it is just simply a sign of respect to be able to at least greet someone in his/her own language if you visit their country, at least within a week or two. Here we have 11 official languages, but English will be good enough, and Afrikaans will stick a golden star on you forehead. One more language will make you incredible. By the way, the auto generated English subtitles are hilarious to say the least.

It would help me a lot if you would progress with your lessons, since I can't really find a lot of books to study from. You helped me a lot improving my Ukrainian and I think that this language is very beautiful so I would love to know more and maybe in the future to speak this language fluently. 5:15 Ukranian Terminator :D
    No but seriously, I love this. Being Polish myself, I find Ukranian to be way more similar to Polish than Russian is, Ukranian is also better sounding than Russian, has a more melodic sound to it, and a lot of words are very similar to Polish, so it's easy for me to recognize a lot of words :).

      Jinigosoti Game-Clips I heard, that Polish people understand Russian language better as Ukrainian? yes?

    • @guestimator121
      @guestimator121 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jinig Depending which dialect of Ukrainian and which dialect of Russian.
      South-Western Russians (the folks from Belgorod, for example) speak specific dialect of Russian which is far closer to Ukrainian than, say Northern Russian or Moscow Russian. And they can speak far more clearly to the people on the other side of the border, i.e. Eastern Ukrainians than Eastern Ukrainians are able to speak to Western Ukrainians.
      Bunch of words "Vin/Vona/Sielo/Tietka" and many other such words is something I've heard thousand times from folks from places around Belgorod, something which I used to think were distinctly Ukrainian words.
      I don't honestly consider Ukrainian to be one language. I know that the whole story of dialect vs language is far more related to a flag and a border, but for me, if you guys can't speak to each other full speed, without fully understanding each other - you're not speaking the same language any more.
      And I honestly think that's great, and really hate the fact many other peoples in Europe "standardized" their languages, i.e. basically killed off all other "dialects" in their country, mostly during the 19th century.
      Also, regarding which sounds nicer, or more "melodic", it mostly depends from whether the language in question is spoken by a cute girl with gentle voice or by 300lbs 7ft tall guy with a beard.
      It might be because you Poles also have that a bit, maybe that's why you like it, but HhHHHHHHhhhHH in every 2nd word doesn't really sound that "melodic" to me, though I love the way all three Polish, Ukrainian and Russian sound to me, a foreigner.

      Filipe write If you want to live and travel in Ukraine, also better learn Ukrainian language.
      and wear the Ukrainian T-shirts.
      this way many Ukrainian people will consider you just as "Ukrainian man with foreign ancestors".
      we have a video where one Black African student speaks Ukrainian language in Russianspeaking region, also this Black would to be the Black Ukrainian nationalist! :-)

    Hello, I want to visit ukrainian carpathian mountains in future, so a try to learn somethnig about your language to have opportunity to talk to people there in Ukrainian. In my opinion it's nice when you talk (even a little) to people in their mother language than only speak in english/german, etc. :) I'm polish, so I think I can learn easy your language. Thanks for every language-videos you have uploaded :D Greetings from Krakow ;)
