Kemp is probably the most underrated player ever. Led the Sonics to the finals in 96 and nearly stole the finals MVP off Jordan. Best record for the league with the Sonics. Dominating rebounds, blocks and points always in the top 10. Kemp and the Sonics beat all the best teams in Western conference. Olajuwon and the Rockets, Malone and the Jazz, Barkley and the Suns, Robinson and the Spurs. In my view he should be ranked much higher than Malone in the power forward rankings.

He also lost his passion and discipline for the sport. Became a role player and a journeyman.

The facts that they both could handle the ball like a guard in the open court, and both be legit 6'10"-plus, was something the league had NEVER seen yet. The flair and power they both brought was tremendous. Kemp is seriously underrated. LOVE KEMP's Ferocity, 8:51 #9 and #7 are amazing. The way that big man can run and contort his body was so special. Deviuz: 1 how? If it wasn't for Jordan and his bulls both had championship teams that could n probably would have won one if they didn't have to play them.

Never seen another dunker like this guy as far as the showmanship mid air and post dunk. Pure entertainment. Nowadays everyone just screams like something heavy fell on their foot.

I based my hoop skills on Shawn Kemp's ferocity and Dennis Rodman's rebounding and I never saw anyone defy the court until Vince Carter came into the game.
Those 3 were my top basketball Athletes and I no longer watch basketball. I almost cried watching these clips because I will never see these days again and it makes me so sad... but I LOVED my generation and there will NEVER be one like it ever again.

@@Lymbe06 I am Greek from a neighbourhood in Athens close to the hood where Giannis grew up in. I will say that Giannis is lesser than a piece of hair on Kemp's balls: less hops, less fluidity (Giannis is as stiff as a piece of wood), less creativity, less explosion, less power (power = strength times speed, and no-one had as much as Kemp), less fire, less brutality, less ability to stuff it among a crowded atmosphere. The dunkers in the 90's used to bend the rim, no matter what dunk they did, they would hammer the iron like sledge, dunkers today are simple females compared to the power of the 90's. I tell you I am a neighbour of Giannis and there is a frenzy over here about him, but comparing current day dunkers to 90's dunkers is simply unholy.
