Super Talented is correct. Her voice is more then just the sounds that come out of her mouth, but her voice breaks down barriers...brings THE BALL SCENE to MAINSTREAM...her voice is POWERFUL 😊❤
Hello, not everyone knows that Madonna started with grunge and in all her concerts she always dedicates a rock part of her songs playing the electric guitar
You're on the right track, but not quite correct. She started in punk bands in late 70s/early 80s. Grunge wasn't born till 1991 - a year after this song came out.
@@zanyzander Hi, grunge originated in the eighties in the State of Washington (USA), in particular in Seattle, and reached worldwide success in the early nineties.
Man, I remember when this came out you heard it everywhere, all the time! I won't lie, I was a big Madonna fan back in the day! So thanks for doing this song.
Great reaction, this is definitely one of the queens biggest hits and both song and video still absolutely slaps all these years later. Love your interpretation- as she wrote the song in the hight of the aids epidemic, as an encouragement to stay strong despite all of our community dying around us. "look around everywhere you turn is heartache- it's everywhere that you go". celebrate life, certainly on the dancefloor. please do more Madonna. Greetings from Berlin
Awesome reaction! You got her message. She’s not only entertaining but inspiring! She has so many music videos, hits, live guest performances and tours over the last 40 years and she’s covered just about all pop music genre from punk, funk, rock, soul, R&B, rap, hip hop and more with swagger-how she earned the Queen of Pop nickname (she’s said she hates the “Pop” part, so the Queen will do). Suggest you cover her spectacular 2008/09 Sticky&Sweet tour concert in Buenos Aires-that was a high energy rave party where she performed some hard funk rock numbers evoking her early roots from NYC in the late70s early 80s.
Sorry, just a little info. Vogueing was a type of dance that was big during the underground dance parties that Gay men, Drag Queens, Black and Hispanic gay men went to. Since they couldn't express themselves in public bars. They would have a runway and it was a competition. Each person was judged. Like when you see models on the runway. There is a great documentary that came out in the 80's called "Paris is Burning" that was all about that subculture. I don't know if it still happens since we have progressed so much in the USA. But it may make a return since America is regressing back to racism, homophobic, misogynistic attitudes. Ugh. I don't understand why it's so hard to just be a nice person. These people are human beings who just want to live a life not being murdered, beat to shit, shit at, etc. Just be KIND! I asked a politician once, who was very right wing, conservative, evangelical... What he was so afraid of. He literally could not answer me with anything. As he takes millions from the NRA and cheats on his wife (But not on Sundays) Ugh! The only thing I hate in this world is hate. Sorry for the rant.
I remember the controversy about this song at the time. Some people complained that she was just name dropping when she talks about the old stars. I love that part of the song. Trying to remember all the names back in the day wasnt easy for us😂
Vogue is a reference to the ballroom scene of new york, where lgbt people come togheter and compete in different categories and made up a unique dance called "voguing" as a refence of the moves looking like vogue magazine poses ( if you see it, it's crazy they look like ninjas) . This was (and still is) a huge part of gay culture as it was a place where it didn't matter who you were it just matter what you wore and how you killed it in the dancefloor. There's a great documentary called "Paris is Burning" which explains it all.
from Soundtrack Dick Tracy standard songs this was the B_Side to Hanky panky the dj was confused and played the B side then everyone started calling it in and it was number 1 for 8 weeks and Dance Floors were Packed great Era ❤❤❤❤❤qq
You are listening very intently to the lyrics, understanding them, and even applying her ideas to your life and surroundings. I don’t think that’s been done a lot in Madonna’s career. I hope that your reactions are brought to her attention, because she would be immensely grateful for your work.
Vogue was a smash hit, but some dismissed vogueing as silly and artificial, but if people took the time to look at history of vogueing, they’d be fascinated. Some praised Madonna for bringing vogueing to the mainstream, but others criticized her for appropriating. The first season of Pose really helps us understand it and the second brings up Madonna for a few episodes and what that song did. Third season kinda sucked, but the first 2 are gold and music featured is fire.
As someone who used to hit the clubs when this was a huge hit, the crowd went wild. Nice to know a "Metalhead" can enjoy a great song out of your genre. Try a Sister Sledge song. Lost in music is a great place to start... Love 🥰 your attitude. 🎉
@@MadAng66 I'm a Baroque classical musician myself. I heard Dream Theater 🎭 and absolutely fell in love with John Petrucci's guitar playing. Opened my ears to a whole different experience I enjoy now 😄🎉🥰😌
Madonna is the QUEEN. Im embarrassed to ask, but you said you're freaky. Have you or would you mess with a trans girl . And yeah 90s gays had it . All the designer brands, gay men are behind it making it happen. Vogue was also originally an underground dance that gay men started. They would all Vogue and there would be contests. Vouging isnt easy lol. But yes, its a signature in vintage gay culture. Madonna loved to go dance with gay men and most of her friends were gay men and they'd take her vouging and she said it made her feel free and well, she did this song. This was 1990. React to Like a Prayer video. Her best work .
Whassup neighbor? That whole Madonna/Lady Gaga drama was idiotic. Express Yourself is a Female Empowerment song and Born This Way is a human positivity song. They were both in on it. Anyone with half a brain could figure that out. The songs don't even sound the same musically as well. But hey it sold records! Conniving celebrities.... 😂
Because they are very clearly performing gender in a way that’s widely associated with gay men. Which makes sense, since this is a video that’s meant to be quite openly a celebration of queer culture.

They dont play anything like this anymore. It's all ... as they say, and appropriately 'ratchet'.

I had to blur it, it got blocked
Dude you are gay😂❤
I wish
How do you know they're gay? Because they dance?
Ya got me there
Of course the dancers are all gay! He was correct in his assumption.
@MadAng66 not really. You are a cool dude and said nothing wrong.
