There were so many chances for great things and character moments in this trilogy, I wouldve preferred finn sacrifice himself in 8, han leia and luke see eachother one last time, actually have R2D2 do something in any of these 3 movies please... and I just wished that they had a plan for this, the prequels were originally hated and despised but they atleast had a plan and had the fans in mind. The story is a family soap opera about a father and son and how their fractured family came to be, so why not continue that? It is the skywalker saga after all, kylo couldve been a great character to see train in the jedi temple, become more disjointed and drawn to the dark side and have 8 be a idk... 7 year time skip? That would be great to work off of, and I honestly think finn shouldve been the next coprotagonist his story is so compelling

That is the direction I thought they were going with him after last jedi when he killed snoke and became Supreme leader. Allowing him to be the big boss would have elevated him and let him surpass vader in his Trilogy.
Kylo ren is my favorite character, the only thing I would change are his motivations to join the dark side, like if it was Vader talking to him in his head or something like that.
That wouldn’t make sense, cause Vader died at the end of rotj and anakin came back in his place as the force ghost. Why would he then tempt kylo to the dark side when he himself turned to the light side.

I agree with James, if this was the main focus not Ray being an overpower for no reason lead. Not bring back old enemy from the first trilogy. Instead focus on kylo trying to become Ben Solo once again ,and have in the final scene of the trilogy him and Rey fighting smoke like they did in the second movie.
That was a gorgeous piece of work. I always like Kylo, and this 'trailer' was pure sweet vindication. We need a Snyder cut of episodes 7-9. just take what we have, and REMIX the entire thing into a mini series, with 30min episodes like Mando. We've got about 7hrs (~6 if we just delete the casino planet side-quest) of footage to work with, plus whatever they have hiding in the editors vault on Skywalker Ranch.
The only thing I think would’ve brought the whole starwars community together is having their favourite character, that also had direct links to the most loved characters in starwars franchise, come out and be the spotlight surviver at the end of the movie. I think it would’ve been so much better for Rey to destroy her own evil family name for good and in the meanwhile sacrificing herself as it’s the only way to truly kill off the palpatine bloodline. With then kylo ren turning to the light as he did, and therefore following in a similar arc to his grandfather after he turned to Vader. I think there would be no hate on Rey, as well as the focus put on the fans favourite character, kylo.

MAD props to Ilia Tsartsidze for the tremendous job at editing. I'll never say Starwars needs a retcon, but the way the story was handled, was absolute trash. I don't blame George Lucas for wanting to fix his legacy, in light of all the bullshit Disney Starwars and its executives put him through.

A stormtrooper was able to hold him off long enough for the main protagonist to win & his wins against the Knights of Ren (supposedly Jedi hunters) who could have killed him if they wanted to & the guards were his own plot armor. Yes, he partially won against Rey in the 2nd Death Star but partially doesn't win the entire fight. He was only intimidating in the first minutes of TFA, other than that, he's a bitch & throws tantrums at the slightest of inconveniences. Adam Driver is an excellent actor, what they did with him is BS.

I have never had so many conflicting thoughts about a set of movies in my life. The idea of a story after the originals and Kylo Ren Luke and Rey is all so cool to me and I love it. But at the same time I hate so many other parts of it. When I started to realise that people hated these movies I started to hate them to. I dont know what to feel about them any more.
What if they did a film inbetween 6 and 7 like they did with Rogue One and Solo that included Kylo Ren training with Luke and then training with Snoke, how Kylo Ren got Darth Vader Mask in the first place, How Emperor Palpatine survived and began the Snoke clones.
Can't believe they made such a weaksauce character look so epic! This was the feeling Kylo Ren was supposed to have given us... "sigh" Oh well, Dune Part 2 is coming so I look forward to that.

in my opinion it would have been good to have Rey go down the dark side and in RoS where Rey fights her dark self, instead it is Kylo - and when he see's what the dark side influence does to Rey it makes him want to stop that. Also kill off Hux in TLJ, make it where when he nearly gets his gun out to kill Kylo when he's passed out (after the lightsaber tussle with Rey) Luke projects to him or Han saying "get up" to help protect him. These little bits help sway Kylo eventually over to the light. Ive written it very basically but add other small bits of people trying to help Kylo and how it turns him over etc etc
It’s pretty much canon that he always held back against her, man literally says *“I don’t want to have to kill you”* in the movies, which means this guy hasn’t been fighting to kill since the moment he met her... Kylo Ren singlehandedly took down a fucking Zillo Beast in a canon comic...that’s a creature that’s worshipped as a god by an entire planet...if Kylo ever wanted to kill Rey, she’d be dead in seconds, the beginning of their fight in TROS proves that the he doesn’t even need to ignite his lightsaber to best her, he just indulges her in their fights...their whole fight in TROS is basically Kylo saying “are you done?” the entire time while Rey is giving it her all...

Have you read the canon Kylo Ren origin comics to understand his motivation? It’s totally understandable when you look at the context.

My 11yr old brother loves the these movies he even loves resistance the series. so everyone saying these movies are bad Disney just created a new generation of loving hating bashing this it's not canon praising toxic but overall loving passionate fanbase that we all love. I'll just say this....Kylo Ren's story arc was more interesting than rey's....
I think their stories TOGETHER would’ve made for a better set of films as opposed to focusing on just Rey. They could’ve been co protagonists
