This is simply an instant masterpiece. Got to see a couple dates when they toured together and BB brought Dustin out to sing Breath and it was amazing live too. Best Friday ever!

Starset never fails to impress but this song is on another level. The intermingling of Dustin's and Ben's vocals gave me goosebumps. So good!
Just want to point out to those who don't know already. This song is originally a Downplay song off their 2011 album "Beyond the Machine". Dustin, the lead singer of Starset, was also the lead for Downplay before their end. I believe they got the rights to the song and did a re-release of "Beyond the Machine", however, "Waiting on the sky to change" is missing off the 2022 album. Bitter sweet, because the old version was a banger in its own right as well. You can still listen to the old version by Downplay on TH-cam at a lower bit rate, however.

This song was originally made by one of my favourite bands, Downplay, which disbanded and later the singer founded a new band named Starset.
It was one of my favourite songs from their repertoire, so hearing it again even better than before hits in a very special way.

This is incredible. So often a “featured” artist gets a line or a background vocal. This is like BB wrote the verses and Starset wrote the hook. This is the perfect marriage of styles. 10/10, the collaboration we all needed, and we need more!

Breaking Benjamin and starset is a combination I never knew I needed
I discovered Starset through a Breaking Benjamin concert in 2016, to see them collaborating on a song, a downplay one at that, has been nothing but a dream come true.
This song is by far the best Starset song recently. Its got that classic transmissions/Vessels style that i feel was missing from the newer albums. not to say the newer albums are bad, far from it. I just really missed the scifi style the first 2 albums gave and this brings it back in such an amazing way!
Coolest part is that it’s not even a new song! Dustin had this one in his back pocket for years with his old band, Downplay! Best remake ever.

Most of the time when an artist is featured it's just their vocals, not their style of music, that's added. This was a perfect mix of Starset and Breaking Benjamin. I heard both styles of music in this, it wasn't just a Starset song. An absolute masterpiece in arrangement, execution, and visuals.

Kinda helps they’ve both got a similar style, starset might sound pretty radio friendly but their guitars are down tuned as if they were a deathcore band. Really helps that arcing electricity space sound they have.

Years and years ago when "carnivore" came on pandora, I thought "wow the new breaking Benjamin stuff is great!" To find it was starset. The BB influence is strong in this track, but it's done amazingly. And you can easily hear the influence of BB in starsets stuff. Im so glad they did this. Starset has become one of my top 5 picks, makes me realize how old i am too that BB was number 1 for me 15 years ago
Wow. This song is so dynamic. I love how both leads match perfect harmony with the other. Ben is very good at taking the under tone for collaborations. This song hits so hard! You van hear very much both styles of music especially the guitars.
What started as an orignal by Downplay that had influences from Breaking Benjamin has now transitioned to a collab between Breaking Benjamin and Starset.

My girlfriend died 4 years ago, she was absolutely in love with starset and she introduced me to it, as i also introduced her to breaking benjamin since it was my favorite band, when she passed i started listening to starset more and more to remember her and seeing her favorite band and my favorite band doing a collab it's just beautiful, i know she would have loved to hear this song

For me, this song came at a perfect time in my life. For years I’ve sought out abusive relationships, but now it’s time for me to take care of myself. It's really interesting to see how music evolves. When I was younger, Breaking Benjamin was all about the journey we take through pain, love, and life. And now, with songs like this, it's like, we grew up. We grew from our pain. We made a decision that this isn't where we are going to stay.
It really resonates with my life and the experiences I've had. Being stuck, so cold, and then deciding we aren't going to run towards the eye of the tornado, we are gonna walk through it instead of staying in the calm within the storm.

Its a perpetual feedback where we grow, and so our music grows with us. Some may think I'm talking about maturity, but no it's evolution. Aside from an incredible sound and a video to match, lyrically this song is amazing. For me it's like someone that can see the direction in which the world is heading, and at times it can feel overwhelming, and the situation helpless. At times it's difficult to just live life when they are so awake to the turmoil that lies ahead. They have lived this way for a long time. They then reach a turning point where they refuse to continue living angry and anxious about that which they can't change, instead choosing to live a life of faith in something bigger. A true anthem of the awakened or anyone dealing with anything that seems insurmountable.
You said it man, Faith. So important to keep at the forefront of all else and in clear view. It's too often confused with hope, which in small doses can be healthy. But once those lines blur until they mesh into a carefree optimism there's no center to balance yourself onto, you lose control, the further you slip the more disoriented you become, the more you try to fill false voids and gain control over things you can't and before you know it you're left with nothing to lean on but fear. I learned that one the hard way more times that I'd like to admit, likely will again

I cannot express how much I love this omg Dustins vocals sounding better than ever and I love how they stayed true to the original version by keeping a similar rhythm and sound but adding that starset touch and almost mixing both starsets and bb's styles. One thing I thought was really cool was how Ben almost copies Dustin when his verse starts. Like, listening to the live I didn't even know it was him until I looked it up. One thing I noticed he does quite a bit in his other collabs, before going to his more natural voice. It's so perfect I love it,, when they started to sing together I got literal chills their voices complemented each other so well. Another thing haha, this song felt more heavier I guess than the recent horizons album which I though was nice n refreshing since all we got was devolution, this was nice yk. It was genuinely all I could hope for it was so good I can't express that enough 😭

This thing is beautiful, the fact that you got Breaking Benjamin in this song is amazing, and he didn't do only like 10% of the song, it was actually like 50% and it just turned out beautifully.
I’ve been waiting for this ever since Starset came to my life back in 2014, and especially when I saw them for the first time in a concert with Breaking Benjamin in 2016 in San Antonio… this means so much to me knowing that there was actually a day that my favorite 2 bands collaborated!

My first concert that I paid for in 2016 I came in 9 hours early Starset and Breaking Benjamin best concert ever, unforgettable. After that I went to 4 other Breaking Benjamin concerts I met Ben at the SF concert with Red he is so awesome and humble he even let me take a picture with him my life long forever band! I will play their music at my wedding!

So I was introduced to Starset while they opened for Breaking Benjamin.....it was Jul 21, 2015. Absolutely blown away by Starset's stage presence. The drummer is an absolute pro...very entertaining. Very happy to see this collaboration with my favorite band (BB of course....seen them 19 times now!!) Hoping they continue to dish out awesome tracks like this in the near future.
I did not grow up with either of these bands, discovering them separately when on my own, but both colliding inform my using them so much in all my book playlists. Now this collaboration is the synthesis of my two nearly favorite bands ever.

Hearing Starset doing a cover of a Downplay song (one if not my favorite of them all) and WITH Breaking Benjamin of all bands is a fantastic treat to the ears. Magnificent sounds, terrific Instrumentals, chilling tone, good presentation and melodic voices to boot.
Props to both bands for bringing new life to this old but good song. Hope this is the start for more collaborations with other bands or, why not, Breaking Benjamin again.

For so many years i wanted a collab with some of my favorite bands, i wanted to hear something like Linkin Park with Breaking Benjamín or Three Days Grace, even with Starset, i know that a collab with LP is not possible anymore, but to hear this, it kinda makes happy, because to me something like this was just like a dream, but now? It finally happened... This really makes me feel like is some kind of acomplishment in my life, i really love it, and yes English isn't my main language, maybe there are a few things wrong

How did I miss this?? Breaking Benjamin hit me as a kid and Starset hit me as an adult, especially when I learned they were from my city. This is fantastic.
