Almost sold my evo 5 years ago. A couple days before the buyer was going to come the car died at a stop light. Buyer waited a month for me to find out what was wrong and fix it. Long story short, I ended up losing the sale and it was that same o ring!
@@mouaem1 do you still have it? Things like that happen for the best sometimes. Not sure if you watched my first video but I actually sold my first Evo 5 years ago and I massively regret it
@tannerjones762 I do still have it. Sadly, I windowed the block. I'm currently building the unfavorable 2.4 for it. Goal is a 600 whp street car that will occasionally see the track.
Good job!, one thing that didn't sit well with me was why not upgrade the engine while you're there? rods/pistons/cams aren't that expensive, just makes more sense to me while you're there ya know? That's what i'd do tbh
@@gregcass12 you know I agree 100% any other time, I'd say and do the same thing in any other case but 2 things stopped me. One was how much the build was costing me already, adding an extra $1200ish would have been a lot to add on top of the 3-4 I dropped on it to this point already. The second reason is it will keep me from throwing even more power at it when it's supposed to be a daily lol. Minus doing flex in a few months. I really want to have flex after it's all broken in and I've financially recovered lol
Having your girlfriend/wife helping you is such a blessing!!

@mouaem1 hey I was planning on doing the same build for my old 8, I think the 2.4s are sick and still a great route. I hope your build goes well!

@@tannerjones762 always comes down to $ which I understand, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! keep it up
@@gregcass12 I wish I had the money to just build it up from the get go, but maybe one day. Thanks for watching!
