Honestly, Jet Li in this movie is showing only 5% of his abilities compared to say Fist of Legend (1994).
Once upon a Time in China is my favorite of his movies. Especially the first one.

I love how this franchise balances the action, tragedy, humour, and heart so perfectly. Somehow they even achieved that in the tv series, where Riggs and Murtaugh even have similar great chemistry

@@MJoy4Fun yeah I heard about it after someone mentioned it to me when I commented on another reaction to this movie and stated this was the perfect final chapter. So I looked it up and yes it’s in the works. But it’ll be an exclusive to HBO Max and not be in theaters instead. One problem is getting the character of Leo in it since Joe Pesci is retired and when he came out of retirement to do The Irishman is was cause Martin Scorsese was directing it and Pesci has a great relationship with him.
@@bigjoeofthe707 Pesci has slowly been getting back though. He has another movie coming and recently appeared in a Pete Davidson TV series BUPKIS. It is worth noting that since 1998 he has done only 4 movies (soon to be 5) and 1 TV series.

As other have stated, this is Jet Li's first American movie. He had an extensive filmography in Asia before then. Some of my favorites are the Once Upon a Time in China trilogy and Fist of Legend.

this one is my favorite Lethal Weapon movie; the chemistry between Riggs and Roger, Leo along for the ride, Chris Rock as a new character, and Jet Li as a cold merciless killer!

Now that you seen all the movies of the franchise you are ready to see Loaded Weapon the spoof of this franchise. Also you should see Jet Lee movies (The bad guy in this movie). He has some great movies as a hero like Fist Of Legend, The One , Romeo Must Die, Fearless, Kiss of the Dragon.
You ought to consider watching "Maverick", the mel gibson western.

Jet Li had been an action star in China and Hong Kong for almost 20 years when he made this, but this was his Hollywood debut.
There's supposed to be a 5th lethal weapon called lethal finale coming out supposedly this year 2023 to honor the late Richard Donner. He was supposed to direct the finale movie but unfortunately passed away in 2021. Mel Gibson is supposed to direct the film. Keep your eyes open because I heard it may happen. Be released

As a kid in the 90s I grew up watching Lethal weapon on VHS!!! I was 8 when part 4 came out, I'm 33 and have very fond memories with these movies!!!

This was Jet Li's first American movie. Most of us had no idea who he was, and this debut made him a star. The actor who plays Butters, is a very famous comedian named Chris Rock. A year ago, Chris was smacked on television by Will Smith at the Academy Awards. It was a big thing, and has definitely hurt Will's career.
A good jet li movie to react is Fearless, it has great action.
You miss the end credit flashbacks to the first one second and third and of course the 4th. One of my favorite Jet Li movies is Romeo Must Die with Aaliyah the pop singer. And her movie also Queen of the Damned vampire movie. Yeah this was my introduction to Jet Li. Very good actor Top Notch action. Anyways thanks for this one y'all take care.

I liked Jet Li in "Black Mask" (live action anime type), and "One". Among many others.

This was Jet Li's 25th film, but I don't think he had done more than 1 or 2 in America before this one. However, after this, my 2 favorites of his are his next film, Romeo Must Die (with Aaliyah, Isaiah Washington, Delroy Lindo and Anthony Anderson) and Kiss of the Dragon with Bridget Fonda, Tchéky Karyo and Ric Young). If you haven't seen them, they are awesome and action packed. He was also good in The Expendables and The Expendables 2.

You should watch "Maverick" - a 1993 western/comedy with Mel Gibson and Josie Foster (and a very brief cameo from Danny Glover!). It's a really great movie with Mel Gibson's style of humour all over it. Lots of plot twists and turns.
I think you'd both like Maverick, it's really well done similar style comedy
Jet Li and Morgan Freeman also have a very good film - Danny the dog, a dramatic action movie by Luc Besson, I advise you to watch
in america it's called Unleashed
I always say this on ever LW 4 reaction and I will say it again..Prime Riggs ( Lethal Weapon 1) would have kept up with and given him a fight ( maybe not win) and def would do damage to Wah Sing ( Jet Li)

I you decide to go with a non-series action-comedy, I'd like to suggest Maverick. It's a Mel Gibson western.
I was also impressed that they used all the same actors for all four movies. Not just the main actors, but Roger's other two kids are the same actors in all the movies as well. Often, they recast the child roles because they figure nobody will notice.
Also, Rianne was supposed to be a teenager in the first movie, but according to Wikipedia, she was 27 when she made the first film!
BTW, there are rumors that they'e going to make a fifth movie this year.
A great Jet Li Martial Arts movie to react to is "Hero" (There is also an English dubbed version).
