The latest events in that video took place only yesterday evening, but there is still more I can do up there. Someone else says that ladder extends, so I'll try again.
Mate I feel bad for u, the mechanism is bust new one required, also the joints need to spotlessly clean and dry ( alcohol wipes would be good) as others have mentioned the steps will slide up and can be lent against the van. On the plus side that tiger seal is good stuff💪🏻 Good luck with t(e weather 👍
I buttered that sealant on thick. Hopefully, I've stopped the worst leaks. Fortunately, it will rain heavily tonight, so I can test my professional workmanship.
With all the shit going down in the world this is just what I need on a grey Sunday afternoon ! Watching socks do some masticking (ye I know that’s not spelled right 😵💫! All the best 🙌🙌
I think the gun has been assembled incorrectly. The silver tab on the shaft should be facing upwards towards the plunger. Yours is facing down to the nozzle end. My cheap one is facing up, eBay has ones that are straight.
Glad to see you using a ladder/ at this stage I'd just try to get the gas heater on board going ,even if it isn't certified with that amount of water coming in ,it won't dry by ventilation,, this late in the year does it drive ?
You might be wise to stick a plank across the width of that van whilst you try and make it watertight else you may end up with a big fook off hole in it when you fall through 😂🤷♂️
one should always check his tool before play 🤣sods law not just me then, chin up and crack on 😜a right comedy of errors 😂and a lesson to all subscribers seriously take care on them ladders😲
I have to be careful I don't get the wrong sorts joining. Already, at least 200 tards are unable to comment in these videos. Makes the channel more pleasant for the decent people.
😧. As Charlton Heston said: "Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!" Can you get hold of a skip tarp at work to throw over the top for the coming week? If you're not in the future. May also give you more time to catch breaks in the weather for the project.
Proper neighbours. The word "community" is bandied about to create the illusion that strangers are somehow unified, but real community comes from wanting to help your neighbours, like Tony.
Those ladders look like they extend so you can use to get higher or just as a step ladder . They slide up and lock on the ladder rung , mine you just open a little then slide the other up and then close an pull down on to rung you require to lock it. But you probs already finished by now ;) .it will be a good camper once sorted and much more room for when you're entertaining ;) ps instructions maybe on side of ladders .
That gun, well what a load of rubbish. Perhaps after cleaning area to be sealed don’t get on roof its bending, you should be able to reach from wobbly ladder.
Great vid, thank you; gruelling. Bloomin, endurance test; passed. If can help again just shout moreover if it fit with SWS, could give a lift there/back to any other who had offered a hand.
@@SocksWithSandals would have, just later. I been helping, by ripping out others homes for years now, so move fast. Hope you SWS get a few more hands on deck.

Keep going it will be great in the end mate
Correct answer.
Tim You've probably sorted it now , but those steps slide into a taller ladder ..

Great Vlog and hopefully you'll get some good weather to waterproof the roof 🏴🏴🏴👍
🌧
🚐 It would be even better if I had some heavy rain to test the roof sealant!
Hard work always prevails matey..fingers crossed it’s all watertight bud 🤞
🤞🏼🌧🚐
Another great episode, on to the next as double today.... get in.
Double bill this weekend!

It is ridiculous that living in a van anywhere is a better option to putting a roof over your head with bills.
Brought back happy memories of slightly gritty cockles smothered in vinegar ❤👍
Tartar sauce for me. That is mostly vinegar.
Great project Tim, one day you can look back with pride and know you saved a camper.
Smug satisfaction is on the way, Seds.
Big black caulk brilliant

Made of Chinesium
That monster was dripping!!!
Love Tony 😊 salt of the earth, nice man. Van needs lot of sorting but be worth it when done.
Still plenty of life left in "The Mansion". Tony is a great neighbour.
Don't seal around the rooflights etc
Take em off, clean, use the sealant tape stuff, refit
If it leaks, I will look into doing that, Lee.
Them sealant guns are not made to last nowadays. I ended up buying a heavy duty one for my campervan build and its brill.
Didn't even squeeze a single glop out.
Rubbish.

No, I don't feel safe with a 35 year old gas appliance. I'll dry it out with a diesel heater.
@@SocksWithSandals yes that's a better idea ,does it start ie battery trouble , a few weeks ago ?
I'm working on that.
Those weren’t mussels they were cockles.
Correct. Apologies, I misspoke.
It is so frustrating and annoying you fighting with crap everyday but I understand your dreams of having a mobile home.
I shall prevail.
It's gotta be easier than a house with a leaking roof to fix and cheaper too, right Tim ?
You got it, Andy!
Paint the whole roof with acrypol paint aswell 👍🏻
Yes, it might come to that.
You should get some fiber glass roof paint....
Them ladders open up straight....like a normal pair of ladders...
Good advice, Chrissy.

Good idea, Tony, but the roof is strong enough.

The heavy rain we are about to have all night will be the great test of my workmanship.

Top tip. I'll have another go.
Should take that gun back and get your £1.00 refund.
How petty that you would think like that.

You will find out in the next episode whether I fell through the roof or not.
Let's hope you can sort the new vehicle before winter starts.
You are on the same page, DMB Rod.

Those mussels looked good. Watch yourself on that ladder doesn't take much to fall and break something.
That was a gut full of cockles.
Just seen this latest video,, glad to see some people have mentioned the steps also slides out to be a ladder 🪜,, be safe up there,
