So sorry about your problems might be worth you looking for a different vehicle on eBay. There’s so many but engines will be cheap because they’re the old style probably £200 or £300 buy working one. I always think if something can go wrong, it will go wrong and that’s my outlook on life. Wish you all the best.❤

I hope you get The Mansion going again. I like your adventures. Maybe a TV company like ITV or BBC get you to drive around Great Britain in a new or newish motor home and check out the local towns etc. That would be very interesting to watch and I know you would love to do this for a job. Hi Tim. I have been watching your channel for a long time. This is a shocking setback. I sincerely hope it can be sorted quickly and cheaply. What about starting a go fund me. I know someone set one up for another van lifer last year. I wouldn't know where to start. But it helped him to get back on the road quickly. It's awful when the van breaks down but even worse when it's your home. Take care and keep smiling. ❤

Just put a full back axle on a ford ka for my granddaughter. Backbreaking work at 65 with a dodgy ticker. Now the damn immobiliser wont let it start. At times like this your attitude to lifes pot holes in the road inspires me on. Keep going pal

Looking at your video it sounded like the cam belt broke.hend the engine stopped straight away. Hope it's not for your sake.that would be the best part of £600 to £1000 to fix.

If you tell viewers the make size engine type ,they may possibly be able to help and locate one! An engine can always be palleted to you! Your mechanic friend and yourself can always do an engine swap where it is! A cheap trolley jack, wood across your inner top wings, strap, scissor jack!😊😊 There is two of you who can do it. Manuals are available and if not exactly that particular model then other ones with that engine! Been there and only myself working on it! The trolley jack was lent after i had removed the engine, but made refitting a lot easier! Nice good make motorhome! Well worth saving and enjoying! Keep positive,post the engine type etc on your channel you have nothing to lose by doing so!😊😊

What happens when you try to start it now Tim.. you don't need a fiat engine to go in you can get a Peugeot or tolbot or Renault there exactly the same usually fitted for £500

i found this on a forum, hope it helps.. The J5 vans (Talbot Express, Citroen C25 and Fiat Ducato) had 1.9XUD and 2.5 U25 (CX2.5D/TD) engines fitted from '82. In the Express and C25, these engines contnued until the van's demise in '94. The Fiat, however, changed to fiat's own 1.9D/TD and 2.5D/TD engines in about '88. The 2.5 engine (and it's close relation, the 2.8) continue in the current range (which I believe are called J9) The 1.9XUD is horrendously underpowered in these, and the 2.5TD (CX engine) is very very rare indeed. 90% of express/C25 were 2.5D. I know very little about the fiat engines other than the 1.9TD is very fragile, and blows up rather easily.

Hi Niall couldn’t you get recon engine it’s worth it

Well Tim you might remember the comment some days ago...."take out the filter...check for metal" Even the garage saying it was the injection pump..🤕. It's hard to listen to the noise on the video but it certainly wasn't a camshaft, nor injector and it could not over fuel... there's just not that much injected. I'd go with my first thought number 4 big end ..now it's let go and either gone through the block or locked up inside. Either way it's Donald Ducked... replacement I.C.E. Best of luck my friend.

The recovery will cost more than the vans worth or the repairs to the engine, if you limped that far with a sick motor you could have easily got to the talbot breakers in leicester,.?

engine would have been good to go again if you stopped running it when you 1st had the noise and fixed the fault / bottom end rod bearing maybe £80 in parts and few hours work
