The EV market in China is cutthroat with none of them making money until one is declared winner. I think NIO and BYD are positioned for a win but who knows.

Investors don’t believe in NIO’s strategy. The rate at which they burn their cash is insane. They just piss it in the wind. Their survival will only depend if CCCP wants to bail them out or if a Saudi fund gets in. Which is very improbable since they are already heavily invested in Lucid and the Chinese EV market is in unending price war making it impossible to turn a profit. To add to the picture, Uncle Sam just threw a wrench in the Chinese battery with new 100% tariffs on Chinese EV,s. Let’s see what the Europeans will do now ?

@@SILENT-TRADER-07 it's not day traders, if you see the stock movement closely at lowest time frame you will clearly notice an algorithmic resistance that's clearly plummeting the stocks on all critical levels and ensuring a hard knock back down when the price is trying to pick up, that's a classic example of shorting

You mention battery’s of other cars need replacement every 2 years? This isn’t correct. My EV is 4 years old and never had a replacement. Plus all new EVs get a 8 year battery and drive train warranty. The advantage of Nio is after this period due to swappable batteries.
Although it was the launching of ONVO I must comment that I am disappointed at the reaction from the stock market that caused NIO to drop that much

Wonder why they are putting 100 percent tariffs on these cars the world is afraid of competition.
Much of it is political here in the states with the US Government placing massive tariffs on Chinese imports, on top of security concerns that Chinese EV vehicles could be used to spy on citizens here; also the big 3 automakers here in America....Ford, Chrysler, and GM don't want anyone else taking away the monopoly that they have on the car market here. They know they're products are shit and they are steadily losing ground to hybrid and EV vehicles, ESPECIALLY from China, so they pull shit like this.
Buy it in Mexico. Drive it to the US. Or have a Mexican dealer drive it across the border, sell it to you. Get the title. Drive it home!

So if you reside in the United States and want to buy a neo… the en L 60, which currently retails for US$30,000 would cost a US consumer over $60,000 because of Biden‘s 100% percent tariffs? do I have this correct? And is it even possible to purchase Neo cars in the United States currently?
It's possible nio has an office here, however they have no sales or service network and the nio cars use ccs2&China's gbt chargers.
Not nacs or ccs1 standards. Also crash standards are different here. So it would cost a LOT more to sell any certified nio model here.
Even nios CEO said many times it wasn't likely they would attempt a U.S. market entry anytime soon. They might have considered building in mx and then importing? But the U.S. is busy slamming those doors to as mx trade agreements are coming up for renewal soon.
Also nio isn't out of the hot water yet either based on their continued cash burn&remaining cash reserves+falling stock price.
They will need to raise $ again by the late summer or fall. 🤔

Look, I don't really like Nio cars. I feel their only advantage is battery swap and the rest is kinda inferior to a Tesla right now (especially software-wise) BUT, with this one, they took a Model Y and, after listening to what people wanted, improved it on every single aspect (even making nice looking - for an SUV): well done, really well done. It should sell like crazy.
But now there's a problem: how do you justify the very existence of the current Nio lineup with cars that looks outdated and more expensive than that L60?
And the stock falls as usual.

Did you really think Nio was going all the way up? I am not surprise at all for this move, in fact I was expecting it. You had a chance to sell it pre market at $6.05 but because you thought nio was going higher you got too excited and didn't sell, now nio went down and your head is exploding. If only you understood that Nio's product is good, infrastructure is good, technology is good, charging stations are good, battery swapping is great, they have money and have been selling cars eventhough their prices are higher than the competition, and now finally they have a subrand car that has many advantages and their price now is very competitive, yet, you are still complaining because the only thing you are looking is price... you got a long way to go... I'll admit Nio is a risky investment, however I believe is worth the shot. Good luck...time will tell..

@@lukbo9590 I would consider a product launch with more detail and emphasis which also show case the vehicle exterior, interior and allows potential client to feel, touch and engage with the product. Obviously this presentation did not have that. I think the focus of this launch is more on the brand oriented and hence they are still lacking some BAAS/battery/drive train info etc. However, I did not see the full video and are lacking information. Some may consider this a product launch, but not in my opinion.
