"Hey Kris, guys here"....nice one :P
Activate the heat-seater! ;-)
I rewinded to be sure what he said. Was great!
Hey Kris! =p
He talks about him self in 3third person😂
What a car! The Enyaq is definitely the BEST car you’ve tested, and I’ve seen reviewed, this year so far. Skoda will attract a lot of mid price range buyers with this.
It’s cheaper than a Tesla, has comparable range and ‘real world’ capability, and is so much better looking inside and out. My favourite EV - for now 😉.
@ Kris, I like what you do in these videos, this might be one of the more important guides for consumers. What I see is that new EVs are almost the same, a few minutes apart, when it comes to usability. Cold weather is no doubt the EVs biggest enemy when it comes to range but they are all good enough for everyday life. Keep up the good work.
VW has learned fast and well. This test is a very informative one and gives a good idea how well the tested car matches expected needs.
I can't wait to see a direct comparison between Model Y and id4 / Eniaq on a test like that. For me the M Y is still favorite.
I also like the landscape impressions you are delivering as a side effect (y) Thank you!
Really impressed. I have sold my tesla model 3 SR+, it goes on Monday, next week my Enyaq 60 is being built so I hope to have it here in Scotland by July. Hoping it is even more efficient than the 80.
Also just ordered the 60 with a few more toys, rather than a basic 80. Let's hope Boris and Nicola are on top of our charging networks, and we don't regret not having that extra ~60 miles of range !!!!! :-)
Your regret the smaller pack , see car wow test they have identical power usage levels I think he got an estimated 180 miles from the pack , but please tell me you ordered the car with the heat pump also remember like the Id it’s pack always heats to 14c so short runs power consumption will rocket
@@ram64man I don't think so. My current 47 kW pack is fine and I can't afford the 80 so it will be fine.
@@iixorb Nicola has our one pretty sorted, now need to beef up the resilience so there's more chargers per site. They're starting to add 100 kW + chargers at a few of the hubs now too.
"Hoping it is even more efficient than the 80." Why would it be? Weigh doesn't affect much range. Local Skoda site tells that combined consumption in 60 has 16,1 kWh/100 km, when 80 has 15,9 kWh/100 km and 80x has 16,8/100 km. Did you already got car so you can tell was your wishes right.
I would love to see some tests with the iV 60. Great car. As the time difference between the top 10 cars of your list is close to be irrelevant for the anyhow long time driven I would rather look at the driving comfort, ease of use and the driving assistent systems. No one will notice a 10 minute difference on a journey that anyhow took 6 hours but backpain or unsafe driving would be noticeable. Thanks for the Video Kris.
Basically same car with 25% less range from smaller battery but even it has less weigh it doesn't affect much for range.
Superb video !! Enyaq iV is the ultimate EV family !!
Thanks buddy!
Great video again, Kris! And start - well, it sums up my day in 2 seconds. Hahaha!
Hi Kris,
I may miss some information, but charging time of Enyaq is 27 min and for VW ID.4 it is 28 min. In spite of all these the total difference between them is 11 mins. So I think, your test does not compares the cars but the traffic situations of the day... so ranking is questionable.
Great vids!
I also notice that the total distance varies quite a bit. ID3 608Km, the Enyaq 612Km, ID4 622Km and the Tesla 3 628Km! Would be useful if the times were corrected to removed the distance variance.
Been looking to buy was about to order a Tesla but really wanted a SUV your test showed that it was an good enough alternative for me to order the Skoda 80X with the heatpump
We are Oscar Mike!
We’ll see if the ID.5 and the Skoda counterpart can beat that.
If the max charging power is around 112 kW then they are caping the current at 300A.
Thanks for clearing up my brain fart 💨 🤣🙈
Hey Kris, how is the head up display? Crisp and clear like in Audi vehicles (which is the market benchmark in my opinion). Thanks
Do you have a heat pump in the Enyaq?
Hey Kris, Kris here... :-)
I love your 'real life' testing and I watch most of your video's because within 6months I get to select a new EV leasing-car.
But there is 1 test I'm missing in your set of tests... or in any test on the internet for that matter... and that is a test that shows the impact on consumtion of added passengers.
I mean, I have a family of five, and I would like some indication how a 'full load' would impact my range... Is that something you can consider adding to your tests...?
Thank you in advance!
Kunne du ikke låne en Ioniq 5 og lave samme test det ville være så super at se hvordan den klare sig mod de andre har set nogle forhandlere har dem i Norge nu
Seems like the Enyaq has caught on big style. Skoda has 75'000 back orders for this car now......
It must be a time test since you already know the range to drive. Your "I drove it down to zero" is a range test. However, the Enyaq seems like a pretty durable and fine car.
Think the ID3 77 KWh can do it even faster if the temp were higher.
The magic number for EV is 15 gr. 😊
The batteri just gives you all When the temp is over 15 degrees.
I think the Enyaq and ID4 is to Big for 204 hp.
Look at bmw IX3 it got 286 hp Rwd.
Exactly. The test with id3 77 kWh was on average 7 degree less temperature. It is a lot for an electric car.
@@juveopera3698 But it should be faster. It's smaller, lighter, shittier...it has all the right things to be faster, since it's the exact same platform.
@@Tafsern it is also faster with not so warm temperature.
@@juveopera3698 This test has it's failures, since the variables are uncontrollable. Road work, traffic, it all affects results. But again, it should be faster. Why even argue with that? It's two different form factors built on the same platform. They're not in the same segment, why even bother 😆
@@Tafsern remember it cost more Energy to drive through the air, the colder it is.
The standard car coming into Ireland will have a 50KW charger not 125 which is an expensive extra (€551) you need to order. Do you know how long it would take to charge the car from say 10% to 60% with one of those?
Plain calculated should be arround 42 - 47 minutes for 50% charging.
@@othmaratzmueller2957 Thank you for that. Most public chargers are on 22 or 50 but there are much stronger ones being installed throughout the country at an increased rate as ev’s get more popular. Do you know will it be possible to upgrade the 50KW charging capability of an Enyaq to 125 post purchase?
@@dermottwalsh8900 no I doubt it very much
You should test putting whatever trips you have in mind into ABRP, both with and without the fastest charging (and also the different battery sizes!) and look at what the actual time difference is. It varies a lot from route to route!
@@Mekuso8 Cad é ABRP? Ni thuigim duit.
Why you used 7% more battery than id3 77 kWh but the consumption is 0,3 kWh/100 km less? How ist it possible? 7% of 77 kWh battery are 5,4 kWh. For 600 km it is 0,9 kWh/100 km difference.
This may be an error on my part, I’ll have to check it later when I get home 😊 Out testing the Audi E-Tron GT now 😍
are you going to do the same test to the ioniq 5
Sure he is, when it's out for test drives.
Hey kris, guys here? 🤣 Did you mean to say that?
Yes, it was on purpose 🤣
@@KrisRifa u mean, Yes. on purpose it was xD
