Thank you, I've had this machine for years 🤣Just felt drawn to it yesterday after few prior (unsuccessful) attempts and I found your videos today! Officially starting my journey with sewing:)
Mind blown..😂 I got this machine and just started using it because I needed it to replace my weaker machine for masks. I finally slowed down months later and found this video because I was wondering about the auxiliary spool pin. Thanks!!
Machine is good solid aluminum frame under the exterior plastic shell. It does sew leather but do not buy if you want to sew only leather on a daily basis. I suggest an industrial machine for daily leather and denim sewing. But this has great motor and a real workhorse. I love mine!! 😊
Judy A Never a problem. Turn dial to red symbol zigzag for wovens and blue symbols for stretch zigzag. Check your manual for correct stitch LENGTH for zigzag selection. Don't have manual? Go to Singer web site and download one. Hope that helps!
I just used my new machine for the first time. Your video on bobbins was very helpful, as the quick start guide that they include has some confusing terms. I still don’t understand what they mean by a loop when bringing the thread from the bobbin…your tutorial was a saver!
Hi. Thanks for this awesome video. I have hard time with twin needles , stretch fabric like swimsuits. The machine 4452 saw the left side but jump on the right. Please and thank you.
2badger2 Probably because there is a magnet located beneath the bobbin case but you can use metal bobbins. They hold more thread - just don't wind more than 80%.
My needle won't move left exactly when I do zipper it hits the metal..hot adjust it (not the left middle center) I already move it to left andcresult it would still hit the metal...
Don't get this machine if you want to adjust the length of the S1 and S2 settings. I have an older cheap Singer that can do it. I don't know how they left that out.
@@TheJudeJane Yes, but the length dial is how you select your s1 and s2 stitches. You can adjust the *width*, but not length of the s1 (blue) stitches. I've not actually seen a machine that actually does allow it though, I think the stretch stitches are meant to be a particular length to allow for proper stretch and so it retains its proper shape/form, but the width is where you'd want to make any adjustments.
Have this machine about six years now or more and I am now learning about it. No...I am not ashamed. Thank you for this video.
Thank you, this is very helpful! Just got this machine to replace a 25 year old model and your tutorials are wonderful!

Thank you so much for explaining.. I just got my first machine and didn’t know what was in the bag ❤
Thank you so much for these videos. I just purchased this machine and I have zero knowledge about sewing.
Nice video, got the machine yesterday. It's fast, reminds me of my mom's Singer from 1950.

Jude Jane did you have trouble getting the zigzag stitches? Nothing happens when I select the other stitches.

I thank you all for this video and it has showed me something about how to use large spools of thread on it.
Thank you! Your comment let me know this was the video I was looking for. Was wanting larger thread spool options. 😊
Amazing Video!
I bought one used and unfortunately it didn’t come with the accessories. Is there a way to purchase the accessories pack separately?

Where can we get accessories separately for this particular machine?
Do you have a video that shows how to attach the singer walking foot please.
First thing I did, was bust the needle threader. I didn't know how it worked.
Very helpful! Thank you :)
You mention how important it is to get the same size bobbins, but you don't mention what size they are. Can you share what they are please? :)
Peej Wilco I think it is size 15
Best with the metal bobbins. Don't overwind -no more than 80%.
@@TheJudeJane She said only plastic because of the weight difference?
Singer Class 15 Clear Bobbins

douglas Comer The stitch length dial is to the right and clearly marked.
