The difference I believe between the first nail and the second is that the second went through the hollow portion the first one didn't, but yes they can be inconsistent sometimes.
@@genevievecadet4956 As long as the washer is keeping it from falling out it's fine. When you push the nail gun up against whatever your driving the nail into, the nail will he forced all the way into the barrel. Nothing to worry about. 👌

Exactly, the ends of concrete blocks are much thicker, where masons apply those head joints:)
