    How do you find out what your pitch is? I am trying to create a lean to off my house and have no clue when it comes to all of this. I can build walls but never built a roof before haha.

      @@carlbrady8845 Isnt always necessary. This is on an osb subfloor and the laminate has padding attached. If it was on concrete then a moisture barrier would have been put down regardless.

      @@tagglivevidzz6195 If a piece ever got broken or damaged so badly that it needs to be replaced, you would have to pull up all the rows leading up to it to replace it.

    Did you install the underlayment between the subfloor and laminate flooring? I don't see it, but I hope you got it in place. The floor will be very noisy without it.

      @@extracelestial9527 This flooring is 12mm thick and has padding attached to it so I didn't install additional underlayment.

      It's a floating floor, meaning it is not fastened to the substrate. It literally floats. Which is why it's very important to do good prep work to avoid any peaks or valleys in your substrate.

    According to the manufacturer you supposed to have at least 12 inches end piece. You barely have 3 inches.

    My nail keeps going all the way in my nail gun before I shoot it ? Am I doing something wrong? Please help

      @@genevievecadet4956 As long as the washer is keeping it from falling out it's fine. When you push the nail gun up against whatever your driving the nail into, the nail will he forced all the way into the barrel. Nothing to worry about. 👌

    If you don't have this tool ( they are cheep to buy) you can use channel lock or even a crescent wrench, to apply the same pressure to accomplish the same results.

    I used to struggle with Stringer's and birds mouth cuts. Took me some time to really get a feel for it but the speed square has saved my bacon so many times. Thanks for the video and yet another way for me to use my speed square. 😊

    Well i dont think thats the main reason the diamond is there, its to mark the actual(as opposed to nominal) width of a 2x4 for quick marking and many applications including the one shown here. But not "the" reason.. regardless thanks for uploading, quality info my man

    I run a miter saw at my work and I have to cut plastics and injection foam trim occasionally. I use a 100-tooth finishing blade so the only way to cut the trim without it melting is exactly this, just revving it to full speed and chopping.

    Machinist here, rule of thumb on plastics is slow cutter speed high material feed. This allows the blade to take cuts that make the chip take the heat with it instead of inputting heat into the workpiece, which is the name of the game in machining regardless of the material. Using a high tooth count blade on something like plastic will give you that kind of melting. To run it that fast and feed that slow, you'd want a blade with fewer teeth in lieu of running the blade slower or, as you did, feed it faster. Maybe not that fast though?

      @@RenegadeAnno I like to use it in bathrooms, especially near the tub, where water has a high chance of coming in contact with the baseboard. PVC wont absorb water and discolor or rot over time.
