I don’t care what anyone says. Mariska deserves a golden globe or Emmy. This episode shows her tremendous talent and ability and there was something wonderful and electrifying about her performance.
But can we talk about the MUSICAL SCORE IN THIS SCENE?!?!? The violins, the fast pace, the PERCUSSION...it was epic and beautiful, and added even more to an already supremely powerful scene from one of the better SVU episodes in years!
sierra Barnes First time I saw this scene it was powerful. Then when your subconscious gets finished processing it. Each time you watch it...the emotions just get more and more intense. Wow. Love SVU
This script for this particular episode was written so goddamn well. It's rare to see a scene or a movie where there's less than 3 people in it and still keeps you interested.
I love how sensitive and comforting Benson is towards sexual assault victims. It’s sad because she relates to them and their experiences. 🥺 Such a well written character.
It’s called grooming and brainwashing. And a child can feel like it gives pleasure or accepts the pleasure because they know they can’t get away or get any help
It's not sick... it's heartbreaking..it's torture, it's how she kept her heart from breaking into millions of pieces were she would never have been able to live with it otherwise. She had to change something that was so traumatizing and debilitating into something beautiful or it would have broken her mind body and soul. You don't understand that kind of pain unless you've been to line.
These people that rape and molest children should be killed immediately...no, I take that back they should be tortured until there body, there mind is just as broken as there victims
So many people were disappointed in this episode, saying it didn't live up to the hype etc... But it was really intense. We may've known the info/secrets already. But I'm rewatching now and it's deep. This lady really got in Liv's head.
I was 5 years old and I was being molested by my own father. Because he was sick. I have 2 older brothers who have a lot of signs that I think they too were molested by him when they were little. One stays in prison he's been in and out since he was a kid. and my other brother just won't talk about it much. If not at all. But he has a lot of anger built up inside. and this show helps me all the time. I love Olivia Benson. She's beautiful and is awesome at her job.
I just love Olivia, she's always there when someone or something has happened and she will straighten it out .I say instead of Olivia being a Great Detective she could of been the Chief in these movies cause she ain't leaving the case until the truth comes out .,all the other detectives are good too. Thumbs up if you still watching it .
This was easily the best episode SVU has done in YEARS. I've been kind of down on the direction the show has taken since Season 13, departing from the L&O traditional formula to the new formula of tv drama. But when this show gets it right, it gets it RIGHT, and it can still deliver diamonds like this every now and then.
I like SVU because if I'm not going to get justice for what my biological father did to me, than I'm going to at least watch someone get their justice.
4:02 When a person calls an evil person a monster, people tend to associate that monster with creatures like Frankenstein. What horrors or evil can make a man into something so evil? Do you know what the problem is with that? We ask too often why the monsters do what they do instead of finding the monsters and destroying them.
Fool Slayer Frankenstein wasn't the monster, it's a common misconception unfortunately. the doctor was the monster. but you're right, the question what causes a person to do evil things? It's many factors, and unfortunately most of the time the damage done is irreparable. 😔😔😔😔
For some reason I want to say thanks to Law and order...I got destiny back today...I promise to cherish every moment with her and lend a helping hand to anyone who needs me...god has really blessed me...thanks to all whose helped me...may God bless us all
Her performance so effortlessly. Her tone of voice so comforting .One could fedl the emotions.I was so touched by these episodes I cried as I felt victims pain. The victims who after intervention who will become real survivers and their stories sere heard❤
Laurel really got inside livs head. Liv felt every ounce of pain when she was talking about this. Mariska deserves every award going. The acting in this scene is incredible. Liv stood there talking about her mum and her dad and being collateral damage😢 my heart broke. Liv being the strong woman that she is 💗 felt so bad for her in this scene though having to relive everything and talk about things like this.
PLL should have brought detective Benson to solve all the unsolved cases and to investigate Toby’s mom’s death, it would have saved a lot of bad storyline.
The other woman in this ive seen her a few movies and series with her in shes an amazin actress olivia has really dedicated her full self to this role on and off tv shes a goddess in ever sense. Cc
Olivia Benson on Law and Order I have been a fan for many years. I realize today that when she is trying to get a confession even I would say I did the even though I am 65 years old just to make sure that she stopped saying that. She is a good actress. Denise Hadley
MARISKA IS MY # IDOL I LOVE HER SOOOOO MUCH.. I WISH STEPHANIE MARCH WOULD COME BACK.. LIV NEEDS HER BEST FRIEND ALEXANDRA CABOT NOW MORE THAN EVER💗💗💗💗💘💗💕💕💕💗💞💞💘💜💜💕💖💖💘💞💞😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 MIGHT JUS B ME BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT ALEXANDRA AND LIV WERE A BIT MORE THAN FRIENDS 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

This is an episode I only watched once because it was pretty much a bottle episode but now I find it on par with the Family Guy episode “Brian and Stewie” where the latter two get locked in a safe and it’s just them talking and bearing their souls to each other. Now I’m thinking to myself: “I should watch this episode again”
Her dad's name is joe........ omg like when she was held hostage .....jk I'm making too much of a stretch here but still I need closure of her looking defeated in the last minute of the episode
I am NO FAN of ASMR!. But I am enjoying listening to Mariska Hargitays soft voice here in this scene. I had a question do all detectives speak to the victims in a calm soft voice? And if they do why do they do it?
I love Mariska as an actress. However, I miss the change in hair style from earlier seasons. I loved Olivia with short hair or bangs. Those styles really highlighted Mariska's features.

Indi jay she’s won both, for this role.
Bonson FL for you
She won one specifically for the episode called "911"
She's really good how she pulls the audience in and for a moment you are in her world. Beautiful talent.
But can we talk about the MUSICAL SCORE IN THIS SCENE?!?!? The violins, the fast pace, the PERCUSSION...it was epic and beautiful, and added even more to an already supremely powerful scene from one of the better SVU episodes in years!
I noticed that too, it's very very well done.
One of my favorite scenes from this show ever
The level of emotion in this episode was just intense and raw. Mariska was awesome.
sierra Barnes
First time I saw this scene it was powerful. Then when your subconscious gets finished processing it. Each time you watch it...the emotions just get more and more intense. Wow. Love SVU
Paige Marshall you are absolutely right.
What's the procedure to marry her character?
The acting and story lines are powerful and thought provoking. most episodes leave things to think over - like this one!
Period sis
This script for this particular episode was written so goddamn well. It's rare to see a scene or a movie where there's less than 3 people in it and still keeps you interested.
Di Anna 10 Cloverfield Lane is like that .. great movie with very minimal cast ..
I love how sensitive and comforting Benson is towards sexual assault victims. It’s sad because she relates to them and their experiences. 🥺 Such a well written character.
It's sad that mariska was raped.
The acting in this show is is amazing goddamm.
that's why we keep comin back
Seeing rape and molestation as an act of love is beyond sick.
olivia pozzuoli okay well this time it is.
It’s called grooming and brainwashing. And a child can feel like it gives pleasure or accepts the pleasure because they know they can’t get away or get any help

Wow! Incredible episode, Mariska is just a legend. She deserves an Emmy for this episode alone.

I’m so sorry, God be with you!!!
This, in my opinion, has been the best episode yet, so haunting, brilliant performance, and background music
This guest actress better get an emmy nomination. Totally captivating performance.
She played Debbie on Roseanne. She has come a long way!
This show never disappoints honestly, the acting is always superb.
This scene gets to me. So emotional. These actresses are out of this world.
I just love Olivia, she's always there when someone or something has happened and she will straighten it out .I say instead of Olivia being a Great Detective she could of been the Chief in these movies cause she ain't leaving the case until the truth comes out .,all the other detectives are good too. I love it when she closes the blinds and turns the intercom off and still be so serious

Loved this episode. Just 2 people talking for minutes and it still keeps you interested.
Olivia acted this part excellently! I was even surprised as the truth unfolded.
The way she connects is just fantastic!! It doesn’t even feel like acting..

I love SVU because of scenes like this. Marishka was always incredible.
what season and episode is this ?
I like SVU because if I'm not going to get justice for what my biological father did to me, than I'm going to at least watch someone get their justice.
Such a powerful episode! SO GOOD!
what episode is it i really want to watch it again
Mariska you deserve an Emmy.
Pure gold💰💸
It's virtually impossible for SVU to disappoint
I have loved Mariska Hargitay for many years. Her acting is simply marvelous

Mariska + Melora Walters + Joanna Going = INSANELY TALENTED ACTORS
There is no better show than this one .main actors and second actors do a great job.

Liv being the strong woman that she is 💗 felt so bad for her in this scene though having to relive everything and talk about things like this.
Olivia is a very great actress she's the best 💕
Olivia is the Captain ,she will help you out until everything is ok. She gonna get information and case work out .
"You said Laurel that you were filled with rage"
"So did you!!!!"
The actuation and photography are so much amazing
Mariska Hartigay is better than some movie stars...
I love how she just whispers loudly
Mariska Hargitay who plays Olivia is a naturally talented actress but she gets that from her mother! Her mother is Jayne Mansfield
The woman who played Laurel also played Debbie on Roseanne-RANGE!
Mariska is the role model of television
This is not an easy episode to watch it's just too emotionally intense and the great acting makes it that much emotionally and intense.
*What the hell is it with fathers and stepfathers actually destroying their own daughters in general?*
It’s selfishness .. pure and simple.
PLL should have brought detective Benson to solve all the unsolved cases and to investigate Toby’s mom’s death, it would have saved a lot of bad storyline.
And that awful last season
Agreed. Especially that freaking last season...gah
This scene was really hard to watch. Acting here was over the top awesome!
This episode puts me in mind of episode "Rage" from season 6 while most of the episode takes place in the interrogation room.
This episode was so freaking good
The other woman in this ive seen her a few movies and series with her in shes an amazin actress olivia has really dedicated her full self to this role on and off tv shes a goddess in ever sense. Cc

This reminds me of an Ellen Hopkins book that had a similar storyline.

what episode and season is this ?
whos ready for today’s new episode
I have a question.
Sonny is the second name of Carisi?
Dominic Carisi
I miss Stabler
He's coming back on a LAW & ORDER SHOW
I am NO FAN of ASMR!. But I am enjoying listening to Mariska Hargitays soft voice here in this scene.
I had a question do all detectives speak to the victims in a calm soft voice? And if they do why do they do it?
John Islas The ones with compassion probably do. It’s calming and gives the victim a sense of comfort and safety.

I love Olivia Benson she is so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
My favorite character olivia benson
yes i thank that too
That wasn't love. 🙁
Wasn't this actress (the victim) on criminal minds for a similar thing?
I'm not living in New York or Chicago.
HotShot 351 Lmao bruh I aint even visiting
I've been to NYC for vacation but if this is how bad the crime is then....
Bruh anywhere Olivia Benson visits ill avoid like the plague
What makes you think she's not doing a good job? She's been raped twice, and had to deal with sociopathic criminals.
Something got to happen in order for her to do her job that's my issue
Wow, so she killed her own sister?
Angel Wood she killed a man that reminded her of her father
I love Mariska as an actress. However, I miss the change in hair style from earlier seasons. I loved Olivia with short hair or bangs. Those styles really highlighted Mariska's features.
