    I sure know all of your struggles here. I own the exact same machine and love it when things are working properly. But when problems begin, they never end

    How did that pump support work out? Break the pump?

      @ronaldsmolinski8810 great question, I have not had it apart since the video(which is a good problem) but I have a very small hydraulic leak that leaves a spot on the floor randomly, I was contemplating going on an exploratory mission in there and assessing that and checking up on everything else, probably have 50 hard hours on the machine since the video moving several dump truck loads of dirt here so it should have had an adequate "shake down" time to assess. I will check in on here if there is anything to talk about

    Good morning I am from Trinidad and I have a machine exactly like that my left trucks have no power trying to get parts to repair pump for hydraulic left side can you help me please

      Sorry ,for the delay. Loader Parts Source(aka LPS) was the cheapest on a complete drive motor I found, trackloaderparts.com has most other parts and rebuild kits for drive motors

    How reliable are these machines, especially the RC 25 and 30 model?

    • @minnesotacountrylivin4674
      @minnesotacountrylivin4674  ปีที่แล้ว

      Reliability on my RC30 has been great, obviously having a drive motor seal blow out sucks, but that is one of the main failure points on the RC30s, I replaced a bunch of the hydraulic lines when I re-did the side in the video... most of those seemed old enough to be original. Back to the topic of Reliability for a 23 year old machine, I expected more growing pains and it's been pretty solid , these have a caterpillar/Perkins engine that seems to be a decent platform... rarely is that a topic on the forums. I like it enough I'd buy another ASV... probably a 50 or 60(to run a big snowblower)... but the 30 is no slouch in the power dept. For its size...

    I have an RC30 and have to pull the motor out because of a few teeth broke off the ring gear. Any tips ? Have you ever did one ?

    • @minnesotacountrylivin4674
      @minnesotacountrylivin4674  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not, probably labor intensive, but maybe easier than this project with the right equipment. Don't be afraid to pull the seat and fuel tank it greatly improves visibility on the other end of the motor where the main hydraulic pump bolts on.

    how did you get the bearing off the end of the drive motor? I see you used the EMT fitting to get it back on. I am opening up my RC30 drive motors, and I was hoping you might have a trick to get that bearing pulled off. Great video and thanks for the help

    • @minnesotacountrylivin4674
      @minnesotacountrylivin4674  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I made a bearing puller, took a thick metal plate drilled 4 holes to match the plate behind the bearing and one hole in the middle for a center bolt to the axle, it was nothing special but it worked

    • @liammurphy4383
      @liammurphy4383 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aha, that a good idea, I ended up using a regular bearing puller, and the bearing broke anyway.. I'll look into trying the Plate idea on the other side..BTW the splitting wedge trick you found for the drive sprocket removal, and jamming a long screw driver down behind the nut on the drive motor bolts saved me so much headache...on mine I was able to get a crows foot socket on the nut to get it started, but had to use the screw driver trick to finish it. Again thanks for a very helpful video!

    1500 hrs is very low.I own an 2018 RT 30,these machines are not at all engineered robustl.My next machine will be japanese.Hose routing,bracketry,just little things they should have done a lot better.I pulled motor and pumps after siezing my perkins shibaura 3 cyl.The pump coupling is plastic.GEHL also makes a real beauty of a small machine,if size matters.

      The issue I was dealing with is "common" on the early RC30s, I wonder if it being 20 years old plays a factor in drive motor seal failures. This little machine gets worked pretty hard.
