    Rewatching this fan produced series for the umpteenth time and just now realizing that Mary Linda Rapelye (the actress who played Irina Galliulin in ST-TOS Season 3 episode The Way to Eden way back in 1969, as the original Dimitri Chekov's love interest), now here as Ambassador Rayna Morgan 37 years later with no Russian accent, Mary Linda was not only one hell of an actress, she was smokin' hot then, and aged gracefully indeed! Rapelye ran her own business, White Cottage Bed & Breakfast, in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. In addition, she occasionally taught acting classes in the same town. She died on 5 April 2021 after a fight with cancer.

      Cancer killed Dr Bones McCoy and countless other Star Trek actors. Cancer is a scourge that SHOULD have been eradicated but there is more money in R&D new electric car batteries. More money making weapons, nukes. And worst of all, WAY more money selling chemotherapy treatments than a 1 time cancer vaccine / cure.😢

      I tried to watch STD but it made me physically sick. It was that bad. Corporate hacks who hate ST got to make "official" STD and Picard and they both stink. Tyrants and censors of the YT Don't like these comments. Tyrants seldom like it when their corporate crook buddies are criticized.

    This fan based pod cast series of TOS is truly FANTASTIC!!! From the acting to the Special effects TOP NOTCH and also truly TOS cannon !!! The fella who played "Young Chekov" looks and sounds like Walter koening when he was young and Walter Koening was truly a pleasure to see as the older Chekov... A great stand-alone Star Trek story, even if it doesn't fit into continuity for obvious reasons. But that doesn't matter because it's still a great story, especially for working in Walter Koenig as well as Andy Bray as Chekov, and penned by the legendary Star Trek scribe D.C. Fontana. This is what REAL Star Trek is like.

      Zachary and George may be gay, but I don't believe their characters are. In fact, George didn't want his chr.to be gay, but was ignored. Gene Roddenberry wrote a guidebook describing his characters and stated that his chrs.desctiptions were not to be tampered with but since he died, what goes, goes I guess.

    Amazingly powerful story. Also to have walter and mary linda rapelye in same episode. She was in tos 3rd season way to eden. The hippie episode, as pavels duty over love interest. So fitting the way she was worked in here. If this was tos episode, it would rank in top 5. Excellent work

      Al Dinelt... Something tells me you didn't recognize her from TOS. Her name is Mary Linda Rapelye. She played Chekov's longtime friend named "Irina" in the episode "The Way To Eden". She was part of a group of space hippies that came aboard the Enterprise, looking for a legendary planet called eden. She was sexy as hell in that episode and aged very well. It was cool to join them together again in this episode.

    • @wishspell151
      @wishspell151 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You don't remember her but she played in the original series, The Way to Eden. She was Chekov's old girlfriend with the hippies looking for the planet Eden. Note: May not be the original girlfriend but it sure looks like her., Mary Linda Rapelye

    18:40 Lt Uhura is HOT!!! This actress could EASILY double as an Orion female.
    And congratulations to ALL of the cast. You all deliver your lines wonderfully. On Par with the OST crew. No melodramas, just excellent delivery, timing, and emotion. (Except for Spock. And excellent LACK of emotion for him. LOL) ♥

      By the end I was crying buckets. When it turned out to be a dream… I felt kind of betrayed and slapped upside the head. Now I'm not sure how I feel. I mean, I liked it. But, I kept looking for the cure… The magic potion or help from aliens that would save chekov and make him young again.
