@ttacking_you I read somewhere that they wanted to do this as a final official TOS film. Nichelle Nichols went to Paramount to pitch the idea, but Paramount refused to do it. I personally really enjoy seeing the old actors in a newer role regardless of budget. It's got the old star trek feel and you don't need a big budget for that.
I also appreciate that it has a positive feel unlike a lot of the more recent official releases.
I love this!! Really captures the feel of original Star Trek Tim Russ is a GENIUS.
I don't care what anyone else said about this fan made movie because it was really nice to see old friends from my youth, sure it didn't have all my old friends but enough were present to bring back some really good memories. And to all my old friends who have gone boldly on to explore man's final frontier in the after life ,you are missed here but one day we shall all meet again to explore even the Heavenly realms. Star Trek will forever be remembered just like the people who helped make it a reality because you can't destroy an idea that Star Trek helped create. To all who reads this post may you live long and prosper.
Kudos to these big stars for putting their efforts into this production.
Perhaps their best work, and it shall simply go on, unnoticed, except by a few.
All these damn critics on here. You think you can do better? Well, lets see it! You get the funding. You get the actors. You get the crew. You make the sets, props and costumes. I found this by accident and was very pleased with it. I thought it was really well done.
outsider238 it is so incredibly goddamn tough. We are so spoiled with high quality TV, we have no idea. Even the old stuff that looks corny to us now was executed at a very high skill level. Speaking of which, love the Lost in Space avatar. Lately I've been thinking a lot about the talents of Jonathan Harris and Bill Mumy, the latter of whom I think is underrated.
This is really, freaking wonderful! As a life-long Trekkie, I am honored to have watched this.
Was 14 when Star Trek came on the scene.....now, pushing 69 am still hooked on anything Star Trek, and will be until it’s time for the long nap.
I love the feel of the production work, it's like it was just a continuation in the storyline of Star Trek
Wonderful movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sci-fi is a type of story telling.FX are just one way to help tell the story. This movie is awesome on every level.Thank you to all involved!! Love from Vermont
I somehow missed this but am glad to find it! As someone who loves Trek in all its incarnations I really have a soft spot for Tim & this was amazing! They did so much with so little (budget only) but so much talent & above all love❤ it really shows. Well done ❤❤
I watched this when it came out, it's still awesome today
Fun. That's all I can say...This was fun. Thank you all for this passionate film.
Thanks!
Well done. Glad to have 'discovered' this.. Never get enough Star Trek!!!
~ As I have discovered in life, Charlotte, there is no such thing as "enough" Star Trek. In my own travels I have discovered a race known as the Unenlightened who scream that there is too much Star Trek and those of our race who clearly see that there is too little Star Trek. "Live Long & Prosper" : ) ~
+Daniel Brensinger Agreed!!!
+Daniel Brensinger there will never be enough star trek... im watching season 2 original serious right now.. in star trek we trust..
Always been a Trekkie since day 1. Never heard of this episode. Absolutely loved it. Wonder why they didn't take it further. Uhura and Chekov were both great. Thank you for sharing this. Came at just the right time.
Absolutely amazing line up of actors.

Wow! Thank you cast and crew for this movie! I enjoyed seeing some very iconic characters.
I'd like to Thank All The Fans, ESPECIALLY The Actors Crew And Everyone, For We Are All Who Love Star Trek And Understand That All This Fine Art Work Is Proof That Unlimited Imagination Is Enjoyable And Drives Us All to Fact Of Hope for a Better Future For Our Children Ourselves And All The People We've Loved And Lost. My Father and Brother Would Love This. To Everyone Out There Take Care And Be Excellant To Each Other. That Was EXCELLENT Work.
Well done. So much good acting, with original characters well drawn in a compelling plot. Thanks to Trek Renegades.
(Took me halfway through to realize the long-hair in the green vest was from Voyager.)
I grew up on Star Trek from what I've seen everything stays in uniform with the original thanks so much keep up the good work
Awesome! Love the Klingon preparing to embrace death at auto destruct! Very well done!!!
Also love all the old school Trek ship architecture.
Star Trek was unlike anything else when it premiered in 1966. As an 11 year old at the time, both my 14 year old brother and myself watched it faithfully for all three seasons. Dad hated it although he did show interest in The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone. I've been a Trekkie ever since. I appreciate all those involved in the making of this film. Nothing is perfect, and some things will never satisfy everyone. Many thanks from this old baby boomer Trekkie!
