Barabara Frittoli is one of the very best Mozart singers ever. I thought she was a bit passed her prime before this night, but I now understand what her status means. Wow. Just left me breathless.
Ms.Frittoli is just 43, which means she is just coming into her "prime" as an opera singer,especially as a Full Lyric Spinto. We were at this production on Wednesday night and it was a magical evening, with Ms.Frittoli now sounding like the finest Contessa I've heard since Dame Kiri!
