Thank you for your wonderful and realistic video. I am a motorcyclist and normally watch them on journeys around the world, i some how stumbled on your channel, wow, you are so brave and skillful, and remember its not good to get drowned before finishing your adventure. so stay with it, i am glued, enjoy, keep safe.
Just found your site, I lived in Whangarei in my teenage years and we had the house across from the Pardy's on the point with a long wharf and near the water a Boatshed with its on small wharf. The house above was our holiday house. I had a small yacht which was moored at Sandspit and I sailed across to my mooring in North Cove. Regards Richard.
Whoohoo…back out on the water! Winter here in Cemtral New York State 🇺🇸, so I’ll have to live vicariously through you until I can launch my ‘72 Cape Dory Typhoon! Sal fast, sail safe!! Anita
Lieve Jacqueline, allereerst wens ik je het allerbeste voor het nieuwe jaar. En ik kijk uit naar je verdere avonturen dit jaar. En, zoals je al zei, je ontmoet veel interessante mensen, zelfs legendes.
Hi Jacqueline, I am a loyal follower with great respect for your adventure. Where to from NZ? I imagine you will be staying in NZ until the cyclone season has passed? FWIW I have a couple of suggestions for you to help you with your yacht ..I hope so anyway! 1. I know it can be easy to miss noticing an overheating engine on a boat, esp. when you're busy with other things like sails to occupy your attention. With that in mind, might I suggest that you consider installing some sort of alarm in addition to the temp. gauge I assume you have? It could be either visible or audible, suitably placed somewhere? 2. Another suggestion could be that you put some Loctite threadlocker on those engine mount nuts as insurance against them coming off and failing into the bilge and finally 3. I think that I may have an idea to make your life a little easier with your mainsail. I notice that you individually filed your mainsail 'cars' - think that's what they call 'em. How about if you have an old car, the more worn out the better, so that you may insert some fine emery paper to do service as an abrasion surface so that you can file your track on the mast itself insyead of working on every car separately? You might also try spraying the whole track with silicon...sometimes it can be enough. Oh, one more thing! Can I please hear your lovely dulcet voice drifting to me over the waves? 😢😅
hi You fly the number one signal flag below the dutch flag. Maybe I am wrong but this indicates "diver down keep clear" or is the meaning something else?
@sailingloveworkx That's nice to hear.. Yeah, the thing is I have gone through most majority of your videos but couldnt hear/see your bad boy firing up in any of them 😓

I will be sailing to Australia after the cyclone season
Good you made it to Bucklands Beach.
How far south are you planning to go.
Thanks! I am not sure yet. I might get up north later on.
Vanuit Whangarei een trip naar de waipua forest met 2000 jaar oude kauri bomen.....
Yes
hi You fly the number one signal flag below the dutch flag. Maybe I am wrong but this indicates "diver down keep clear" or is the meaning something else?
It means “solo sailor”. a Divers flag is red with a white diagonal stripe.
@@mvholste diver down is alpha - blue and white.
This means ‘solo sailor’
Nope, in NZ the Alpha blue white flag means Diver…very few use that red and white diagonal stripe = it’s possibly American

get your shit together, that wasn't the woman I followed across the ocean. Enjoy your video's.
THe video itself is mainly about the engine, and you again did not show the engine startup..
The starting of the engine is in one of my newer videos that I will post shortly. But it is pushing one button actually
