Going from a boy to a man. I agree it has been amazing to watch. Having done similar I know what they are doing is mind expanding, eye opening stuff. It is cool watching Davis mature. Fast becoming a nice young man.
Awww, thank you both. It has had it's challenges raising a pre-teen in such a confined area but we are finding our way and trying to give him a taste of all the world has to offer. Thank you for following along!
Your old South Hampton neighbors here! Happy to be following you guys along on your journey, virtually. Davis is so grown up!! Love the content, keep it up, and safe travels!!
Hi!! Davis misses being able to ride his bike around the old neighborhood! He has grown up so much and will hopefully return to the area to begin high school in 2026. Thank you for following along!!
It may not be the same one, but I feel with all of the beaches you are about to travel over, on your amazing journey, you may find another shell that you can "kind of" replace one gone BUT this new shell also has an amazing journey/story to tell. A story about to become made.......
I love your positivity! Your right, its just stuff but I really would have loved to blow the same conch horn at my childrens wedding that we had at ours. I am learning that I have to just let go what I can't control. Thank you for your encouragement!
So when are you moving to NZ bros! nau mai ki Aotearoa! Great to see you all enjoying another new country, very similar to Australia, very beautiful Island steep in Mauri culture, Happy New Year 🎉Be safe and God Bless
Ha! We have said out of all the countries we have visited so far that New Zealand is the first country that we could see ourselves settling down. Maybe after Davis is out of the nest we can look at that as an option :)
Theres a reason your shells were confiscated, - if every tourist took a conch shell from any island, there wouldn't be any more. Oh Hello!! Thats why they are so rare to see in their natural indigenous habitat. Yet another first world issue Lovevyourwork!!!
I stumbled upon your channel last week! Loved watching the passage from Fiji! Are you doing to be sailing around NZ at all? I live in nelson and there is so much touristy stuff to do here! Liked and subbed too!
Hi and welcome!! We will probably sail as south as Auckland then park the boat and rent a car and explore the rest of the North Island and fly to the south. There is SO much to do in your wonderful country. We are very excited!
Think it might have been wrigley field (possibly some other stadium) when I was a kid, they had one long trough for the guys. Never saw that before. Enjoy the colder weather for a while. Donate for a Dream
Wait. You have to get rid of all your provisions and food, so you need to come to New Zealand with a totally empty boat. Do you get the items back when you leave the island?
You have to get rid of all fresh foods including eggs, frozen fruit, frozen veggies, frozen meat. No nuts, seeds, bee products, grains, animal or plant products. I totally respect not wanting to bring in pests and such from other countries but when the food is not leaving your boat its becomes a gray area. They take any of the above items off the boat and dispose so you do not get it back. Australia is even worse :(
They have the kinder eggs in the US but different. Instead of a toy being encased in a chocolate egg, it is in an egg-shaped plastic package with the toy and chocolate separated. Slight difference 😊
I have watched from the beginning and now see how much Davis has grown. Nice video.

Great to see that your buddy boats have all arrived and you’re all together. I also follow the family on the Machete (spelling?)
They are great!!! You’ll see them next week too😉

Steak and Cheese pies guys! Dont forget.
They are SO delicious!!!!! We were introduced to them in Niue and are enjoying them immensly!
Yup, the trough was pretty common growing up. Haven’t seen one in a while.
Head to NZ. It’s like traveling back to the 80’s & 90’s🤣
@ on my way! At least for the music.

NZ is like traveling back in time. We are loving the colder weather & being able to snuggle!
Have fun with Sailing Machete.
They are great!!! You’ll see more of them next week too 😉
They are my people. Real rednecks! Never thought they would make it that far. Take it easy on Daniel

Wow no meat, fresh fruit or veg. No dirt on shoes and your precious conch shell. Means you have to reprovision.
I just bought some of those “egg” shaped candy for my granddaughter and we live in Nebraska, not sure where they are banned ??

Same but in Michigan. My daughter did too in Middleburg FL. Maybe the packing changed?
Ok. I’ve not yet watched this channel-but after the tears upon arrival (Clearing in) I think I’ll pass. (Sorry for the loss of your memories)
Not every channel is for everyone. We get that, totally. Thank you for your comment.
