Keep up the good work...... First time comment. But have watched a lot of your videos over time! Keep up the great work and info! And update that drone to the Air 2 lol
Sucks about the drone. I hope it wasn't damaged too badly. I went through those willows on a summer morning when they were covered with dew. I was soaked. Nice job on a tough day. It really illustrates the difficulties of winter hiking in Colorado. That lake is aptly named Pacific Tarn.
"If a mountain was as easy to climb as a Walmart parking lot we wouldn't be messing with it. Its the struggle that makes them fascinating"...from my couch in front of a fire on a snowy morning in SW Colorado. Actually I'm reaching the point where a Walmart parking lot seems daunting. I know nothing about flying a drone but your drone shots are spectacular. Makes it very vivid that we are very small and the mountain is very big. Keep up the good work.
Great video, bro! That really stinks about your drone - what a complete bummer! And the fact that it took two hours to find - holy cow! You’re a dedicated fella, that’s for sure. Take care, stay safe!
You always tell it like it is, which is rare these days. Thank you. I'm not a big fan of meeting storms above 12,000. One frigid January deep twilight example: I was going to turn around and descend but wanted to take a few more steps to get an overview. Three steps and I fell downward fifteen feet into a shaft of ice cold no traction powder. Fortunately I was prepared for a late return because going deeper with movement took over twenty minutes with several retries to climb out. No big deal, but could have been worse if I'd scraped a small rock outcrop.
Wow. The views on that peak (and heading up) are beautiful! I might try to do that one next year. Always good to see Juno along, 'cause I know it's a peak I'll probably feel comfortable hiking on my own. I don't know how you handle the camera, Juno, and stuff like a drone all at once without taking a tumble.
Glad you got your drone back (twice). That can seriously ruin your day. We’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a technical issue rather than pilot error! Joking aside, keeping your gear in check and keeping a constant eye on Juno and navigating up a mountain must be much, much tougher than it looks. I wonder if you could apply some sort of scent to the drone and train Juno to track it if it goes down?
Nope not paved and all of my hikes have complete trail guides with much more info on my website 👍🏽 www.thevirtualsherpa.com/atlantic-peak-west-ridge-hike-trail-guide/
Once again I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You’re one tough dude. Juneau is tough too. Be safe. Thanks for the great videos..
12:14 had me holding my breath for just a second with the combo of selfie stick+ridgeline+dog+overall how the vibe of the day was panning out 😄
haha honestly same.

I appreciate your honesty on a day that wasn't going your way. Real life happens!! Keep up the great work, I love watching.
Thanks Matt - will always keep it real even if it makes me look like an asshat in retrospect 😂
Great video, production quality high! Nice work keep 'em coming.

It seems like the mavic air is a tank because besides props, nothing wrong with it on both cases luckily.

Lmao I wish I could do that, she was too busy “hunting” the mountain goats that were in the area.
Awesome video! Just out of curiosity what date were you there? Trying to get an idea of conditions are like on the drift/fletcher traverse
All my hikes have the date hiked in the full hike guide linked in the description. Once there just scroll down to the hike route section 👍🏽
@@TheVirtualsherpa Oh whoops must’ve missed that. Thanks!
Have you done the three Apostles , north or south sides w/ traverse
Is the parking lot paved? How much Elv gain?
Nope not paved and all of my hikes have complete trail guides with much more info on my website 👍🏽 www.thevirtualsherpa.com/atlantic-peak-west-ridge-hike-trail-guide/
Should've done the Pacific West Ridge
It did look doable from the Drone shots. . . hmmm
