I am too almost 30 and I believe Shaman King is probably the best thing anyone could watch. It's teaches courage, friendship, patience, sacrifice for what is right, integrity, ambition, dedication , hard work and it's also fun and absolutely hilarious at times. I love Shaman King !

Jan-Feb: Gundam Seed/Zoids/Inuyasha/s-CRY-ed Mar-Apr: Avatar/Rurouni Kenshin May-Jun: Digimon Adventure/02/Tamers/Frontier Jul-Aug: Shakugan no Shana/Shaman King/Yugioh Sep-Oct: FMA: Brotherhood/Tora Dora/Kaze no Stigma/Gurren Lagann Nov.-Dec.: YuYu Hakusho/DNAngel/G-Gundam Obviously there are others like Bleach, DBZ, and more but they're either too long as I'd spend many months watching them or I'm not up to watching them at that time.

He is working as the main producer and head writer on the new anime. He’s hoping to take it far past the manga n give it his intended ending

I don't want to spoil it by saying how they were different, but they were. This is just my opinion, but I think the manga was better. Some things are a bit darker in the manga. I just wish that they keep this opening in the dub, because it's awesome.

I usually prefer Japanese openings to English, but no, not this time.... This one is HANDS DOWN BETTER and sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it even now after 16 years later.
Except it's got the same chorus from "Your Move" from Yu-Gi-Oh Music to Duel By from 4Kids. And, as great as this extension/opening is, this opening isn't the gold standard for English openings. Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin have openings comparable to the Japanese counterparts which are both awesome! That being said, Japanese openings aren't automatically good because they're Japanese and English openings aren't automatically bad or worse just because they're English. Same goes for the dubs. But, sure, be a weeb. That'll impress the Japanese 😂 Totally.
I'll be honest Shaman King was where it all started for me not Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece this was the first series I began collecting manga for and later inspired me to get into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure I have allot of Nostalgia for this series here's to you Shaman King.

Such a underrated gem one of the best shounen out there. Truly deserve a remake and adapted by a better studio. It really brings back great memories of my childhood.
Sure, 4Kids did the English dub, but it's one of their better attempts. Seriously, I know people will still say probably the best English anime dub they did was Pokemon Season 1, but come on, it was already popular before it was an anime. Give this one some praise for once.

Even if you don't like the dubs, you have to admit that the theme songs in this era of dubbing were top notch. Most other countries actually took the American Theme for Pokemon and dubbed that over top because it was better than the original.
I must agree that the early 2000s were great years for dubbing, a lot of abimes dubbed at that time came out great. But I do not agree with saying that other countries took USA's opening and dubbed it over because it was better than the Japanese version. When other countries acquire the rights to dub an anime, if there already is an English dub, they translate that one rather than the original. Why? Because it is cheaper, less time-consuming, and most importantly, there are a lot more English translators in any country, than Japanese translators. Once dubbing over the English version, they keep the intro as well - back in the early days, some countries did not even dub the song, but just left it in English. Because, again, it's cheaper and quicker.
Bit of a serious bit here, on July 12th I lost a dear important part of my family. I had been close minded and not wanting to be part of anything. Then I began watching Shaman King like I normally do every July as part of a sort of schedule I do watching specific anime at set times of the year. Upon listening to the lyrics of the theme song they really spoke to me (albeit not all of them). Specifically the lyrics Look around you, Look beyond You could make an unbreakable bond The world around is not what it seems, Souls revealed beyond your wildest dream So many things I never could see, So many choices falling on me I can look at the world In a different light I know what it takes To make it right And I won't give up the fight Obviously I left out the bits about shaman king, but I hope you get the idea. It's funny how the world works, it can take someone important from you and yet give you messages that everything will be okay and you just have to keep going for them, as it's what they would want us to do.
This is one of those 4Kidz intros that pumps you up and humbles you. “So many things I never did see. I see the world in a different light. I know what it takes to make it right”. Powerful man
The amazing thing is that you can see it in their faces that each and everyone of them is his/her own character and they find a way to work together. Thats what makes this special for me. And cus they are badass also. :D

actually was in Sequel in planning but the mangaka or the director of the anime wanted to use the old voice actor again this request was refused for reasons I do not know and therefore there will be no continuation for the time being

All these years later and this song is still a BANGER. One of my favorite English openings. Overall I'm glad they stopped changing the openings when showing anime in the west but I can't deny that there were some golden ones that came out as kids lol
This opening theme, and the anime and manga of Shaman King, are all incredibly special. There's just a remarkable "spirit" that all the art of that series is imbued with. A special, distinctive, mystical touch. And this song isn't even one of those themes you hear again as an adult years later and think "oh, how cheesy." Rather, it still gives me chills and makes me wanna rock out. Love the percussion, electric guitar, atmospheric sound effects, and belted-out rock vocals. It all just makes me go "fuck yeah." This is going in my snowboarding playlist.
This show had such an impact on my childhood that it echoes on me now that I am an adult. All of these brilliant animations as a kid helped form me in the individual that I am today. Shaman King was one amongst the top stories that remain in vibrant details in my mind even today. Forever grateful to Hiroyuki Takei and the brilliant American DUB team and song writers that brought this masterpiece to us on the Jetix platform in Europe. Hats off to all of them for making such amazing characters to whom I can relate to in full capacity even today👒
***** Shaman King and Original Yugioh are fairly good dubs (with a few exceptions) but I think this as an opening is really good for the following reason, it really feels like hype while the riff and beats feel very well Shamanistic and magical while being exciting and meaningful. The Japanese Openings for Shaman King are really good too but I feel like they actually imply a lot about the mangas relation between some of the characters that we just don't see in the anime we got and thus lose some impact.
Not once have i asked for a new version, or any shaman king. It was my childhood and it was so amazing, it was so satisfying i didn’t need a new one. But my hype levels are insane now that i saw the announcement. And the PV got me screaming. I was a dub guy back then but i’ll be looking forward to both versions. This was the most unexpected thing of 2020 for me

Man me and shaman king go way back. It was the very first manga ever at that point I only watched anime this was around 6th grade so I believe I was 11. I remember one time in my reading class we finally got to check out books so I was looking for animal books because I just love animals than as soon as I saw shaman King cover I was like wtf is this it looks dope. Luckily at the time they had most of the volumes so I would sneak them in my backpack to take home and read. I had a blast reading it after that I started taking some more manga home. I couldn't check them out because there was a limit to how many books you can check out and I would usually take 6 to 7 volumes and stuff them in my backpack. I was quite young back than I'm turning 20 soon and that was when I was 11 so I plan on rereading it because now that I'm much older I will be able to understand certain aspects of the series more
I remember waiting for my dad to go to bed so I could use his tv to watch this at 9pm every night XD Omg the memories. This was one of my first, if not THE first, that introduced me to anime. I can never forget this. Love this series so much! I wish they'd make more.. But I doubt that'll ever happen :'D

Not gonna lie, I didn't really understand the plot of Shaman King as a little kid. In a way, it's more incredible that this song has stuck with me throughout the years.
I always over looked this series in the Shonen Jump magazines when I was younger, though I faintly recognized it from seeing bits and pieces of the cartoon on TV. I wish I'd payed more attention to the series back then! I really love the artstyle! I think I'll read the manga now!

Serkan Korkmaz Sequel Manga got axed m8 (for now), I think the mangaka needs more money to make a anime remake or continue writing.

They actually wanted to make a remake, but the original author turned it down, because they wouldn't be allowed to use the OST from the original series and some of the VAs died. We'll never gonna have another Shaman King xP

actually was in Sequel in planning but the mangaka or the director of the anime wanted to use the old voice actor again this request was refused for reasons I do not know and therefore there will be no continuation for the time being

All these years later and this song is still a BANGER. One of my favorite English openings. Overall I'm glad they stopped changing the openings when showing anime in the west but I can't deny that there were some golden ones that came out as kids lol

This opening theme, and the anime and manga of Shaman King, are all incredibly special. There's just a remarkable "spirit" that all the art of that series is imbued with. A special, distinctive, mystical touch. And this song isn't even one of those themes you hear again as an adult years later and think "oh, how cheesy." Rather, it still gives me chills and makes me wanna rock out. Love the percussion, electric guitar, atmospheric sound effects, and belted-out rock vocals. It all just makes me go "fuck yeah."

This show had such an impact on my childhood that it echoes on me now that I am an adult.
All of these brilliant animations as a kid helped form me in the individual that I am today. Shaman King was one amongst the top stories that remain in vibrant details in my mind even today.
Forever grateful to Hiroyuki Takei and the brilliant American DUB team and song writers that brought this masterpiece to us on the Jetix platform in Europe.
Hats off to all of them for making such amazing characters to whom I can relate to in full capacity even today👒

Shaman King and Original Yugioh are fairly good dubs (with a few exceptions) but I think this as an opening is really good for the following reason, it really feels like hype while the riff and beats feel very well Shamanistic and magical while being exciting and meaningful.
The Japanese Openings for Shaman King are really good too but I feel like they actually imply a lot about the mangas relation between some of the characters that we just don't see in the anime we got and thus lose some impact.
Lol only problem I remembered for the dub is how they gave that Chinese kid a British accent

Not once have i asked for a new version, or any shaman king. It was my childhood and it was so amazing, it was so satisfying i didn’t need a new one. But my hype levels are insane now that i saw the announcement. And the PV got me screaming. I was a dub guy back then but i’ll be looking forward to both versions. This was the most unexpected thing of 2020 for me

Man me and shaman king go way back. It was the very first manga ever at that point I only watched anime this was around 6th grade so I believe I was 11. I remember one time in my reading class we finally got to check out books so I was looking for animal books because I just love animals than as soon as I saw shaman King cover I was like wtf is this it looks dope. Luckily at the time they had most of the volumes so I would sneak them in my backpack to take home and read. I had a blast reading it after that I started taking some more manga home. I couldn't check them out because there was a limit to how many books you can check out and I would usually take 6 to 7 volumes and stuff them in my backpack. I was quite young back than I'm turning 20 soon and that was when I was 11 so I plan on rereading it because now that I'm much older I will be able to understand certain aspects of the series more

Shaman king is one of those special anime that I managed to rewatch so many times and never gets old. Just a fantastic anime.
I remember waiting for my dad to go to bed so I could use his tv to watch this at 9pm every night XD Omg the memories. This was one of my first, if not THE first, that introduced me to anime. I can never forget this. Love this series so much! I wish they'd make more.. But I doubt that'll ever happen :'D

Haven’t heard this song in like 11 years since it first came on. Was my favourite show and completely forgot about this show and all my memories associated with it. Seems like they’ve all come back alongside the nostalgia since they are making a reboot !

One of the few anime I legitimately enjoyed, this song brought back a whole host of memories from long ago. It helps that this is an extremely well made to the point where it should have been the full theme song. Loved this anime!

I always over looked this series in the Shonen Jump magazines when I was younger, though I faintly recognized it from seeing bits and pieces of the cartoon on TV. I wish I'd payed more attention to the series back then! I really love the artstyle! I think I'll read the manga now!
