I like the fact that, since you can hear chainsaw noises in the background of the credits, the loggers basically witnessed an aerial battle and then just went back to work like its a normal Tuesday in Strangereal for them.
@WhomItMayConcern Thanks, that is an interesting question,, I filmed a scene of one of the Omega getting shot down, and had it play after the first viper fired their missile, but it didn't really work out for me, I am not sure why. Maybe it was that I always felt like this mission is just notoriously a breeze in the AC Community so adding higher stakes didn't feel right maybe. It also took up a good chunk of time I needed in the timeline if I were to also fit in all of the action I did. I perhaps could have shown the two vipers being shot down at the same time, like the transports. As to your last point, showing the other pilots behaving better is something I've slowly been working on, particularly because dogfight cinematography is really kind of hard for me, from shooting to editing. Most notably this video was a test to see how much better I can get it, particularly with the Rigaux sequence. Eventually it would be nice to show various dogfights in the same detail as the Rigaux one in one video. So all in all I would suspect more friendlies being downed in the future! Also, the most notable change was that Rigaux in this video was flown by an actual pilot, whereas the Vipers in this video, as well as the pilots in the other previous videos, were mostly AI. The AI in DCS is very uncreative with their maneuvers, so testing Rigaux in this case opens up much more options to a dynamic, 'real feeling' dogfight between two actual humans. Something that's long overdue I agree.
I feel kinda bad about those transports and AEW getting shot down. Unlike fighters, nobody can really eject in time, plus that cockpit warnings from the downed AEW plus one of the pilot saying "this is it!" is kinda haunting

@@Battlemage15 one of my favourite things about AC04 is how it treats being a fighter pilot in war. It isn't a good thing, but it's your job to take your orders and come back in one piece. Often after missions you'll receive mention of casualties, sometimes a character you heard over the radio is replaced by another at the end of the mission. You're left to fill in the blanks. It's subtle in its anti-war theme, and extremely effective because of it, not to mention how it humanised the enemy. I love AC5 but it's very loud with its anti-war themes. Not a bad thing by any means at all, but less effective than 04's from a storytelling standpoint imo.
