Thank you, Monique! As usual I learned new things I didn’t even know I wanted to learn. I’ve done split and thrown rings many times but the high five technique and the acronym RODS were new to me. I do work front and back but didn’t know this useful bit of terminology. I can always count on learning something unexpected from your videos. You’re the best!
That is very cool. I see some practicing in my future... and I'll bet some twisted clumps of knotty proof that I need more practice. Lol! Great job (as always).
So, supposedly, in option one, because u work the two sides independently(and they don't interfere with each other until u close them and make them meet up) u can always reverse ur work as many times as u need if u, let's say, forgot to add a stitch or wanted to untie and remake a stitch (or more) to the opposite side of that you'd be currently tatting- when it comes to rings I don't think it'd be possible to come back to them as they normally are hard to reopen/do not open at all once tightened. Please do let me know of your thoughts on this. If u do not understand feel free to ask me to rephrase or specify anything. Nice job. it's nice to see people stay faithful to the work they love :)
Part of what you say is correct - while ever the split ring is open you could switch back and forth to add stitches or fix mistakes to either side. As for a normal ring - you can come back to it and 'fix it' - you just have to open it first. This isn't hard to do if it's done correctly. There is a way to open rings - have a look at my retro tatting video. 😊
I am enjoying your split rings video .is cool love it, is there any pattern like bookmarks butterflies using the ring method but easy because I'm still a beginner , 💜💜Love of the dead spider method is awesome,💜💜. Thank you for making your beautiful videos and sharing them to all of,💕😘
You're very welcome, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I have butterfly patterns on my fb page and tat a longs here - but they are normal rings. I think you want split ring patterns? I will have to have a think. None come to mind right away.
Is there a way to make a throw ring off of shuttle one stitches (yellow stitches)? And if so how would I do that or what would it be called? Love your video ❤can’t wait to see more 👍
Yes, you could work a loop tatted ring on the yellow side. Thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.🙂 th-cam.com/video/AsaBMsstS1s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cfH6TmVEdKGaVTP9
How do you intersect 2 circles? I have a photo, but need help. I've made 1 complete circle and need to join the second circle while tatting the intersect. Help?

Love this! What situation would you use this technique?
Thank you! I would use it as a design feature - it would depend on your pattern.
