I honestly never ever hear the shouts for a NATURAL defensive midfielder and what a mean bye natural is people say oh howson howson he’s not a natural defensive midfielder he got moved futher back the older he got and the few yards he has lost to we haven’t had a natural defensive midfielders since morsey i feel we’re lacking someone to break up play I thought that’s what morris was at first but upon looking further into him it’s not quite his profile interested to know ur opinions??

CB? One missed the majority of last season. One missed about half, and has a history of injuries (Clarke). One missed last few months of the season (Fry). One is a wonder kid! And only one of the four is left footed. Don’t think it’s crazy to want a top top left footed CB.
Giles sell fry then we got 2 players every pos and players who can play 2 or 3 positions if need be
@@NotTheTop20 It’s obviously not crazy to want a top left footed player in any position on that side of the pitch, but of all the positions that need strengthening in the team, I would have said centre back was lowest on the priority list (perhaps behind goalkeeper). Higher than CB is: RB and LB (due to Smith and Bangura injuries respectively), RW, due to ongoing Forss injury, LW in case McGree gets injured again and Burgzorg isn’t up to it, a Latte Lath replacement as Coburn isn’t it for the season, and arguably CM on the basis Howson is older than time itself, Barlaser doesn’t seem to fit MC’s playing style, Morris is unproven and Hackney could be sold.
In my opinion
We still need a left back ( bangura out for a while, Engel inconsistent and not had the best of pre seasons )
Right winger ( forss out until atleast October, jones inconsistent sometimes in the space of a 10 minute spell )
Striker ( if latte gets injured we are f##ked, coburn just not the same level )
As it stands I’d take 6th place now, getting them 3 quality additions in them places could be the difference.
Engel can play lb or lcb gives us balance and more options sign Giles sell fry as of forss we got Jones and gilbert who can play left atm or right and young finch who can play the 3 roles
