Not gonna lie, the foot tattoo looks like one of those fake tattoos you'd do as a 12 year old where you'd draw it on in sharpie and spray it with perfume 😂 xx
fun fact about tattoo removal: it could be way easier to remove the black youtube logo from your foot that that yellow pigment from your hand! lazer removal includes breaking the pigment with light into very small particles that are carried away by lymphatic system and gotten rid of. it works better with black and almost doesn't work with yellow and green because of the type of bond in the paint. so you can remove the logo!
If you had a tattoo on your inner forearm (like just above your wrist) could you get it removed or would your veins etc prevent it? I want to get a tattoo there, but I also want to be able to have the option to remove it if everything goes pear shaped.
Tattoo artist here! The triforce can easily be reworked! I do that kind of thing all the time! (Among with the others that need any reworking!) the example for the triforce you can thicken the black linework a bit to even out the blowouts and go in with some darker yellows, lowlights and highlights to make it less flat looking and add some white to make it POP 😍 the writing can be similar, you can use white to almost carve out the blowouts where it looks all blue and blotchy and then go over it with some darker cleaner linework :) Also it can be covered easily too :)
I have a moon on a field of stars tattoo that faded pretty hard during heeling. The background is more gray than black and on the smaller stars the white ink is pretty much gone. It was my first that wasn't just words or lines so I think I made several care errors. I'm stuck between getting it touched up or getting a couple other things I want first. Do tattoos get harder to touch up with age?
DavidSFromThe216 I’ve seen a few cases where a similar thing has happened but honestly you can touch them up or rework them anytime (if you find an artist that isn’t funny about touching other people’s work, I don’t mind doing that but some old school artists are a bit weird about it) I’ve touched up and reworked tattoos that are over 30+ years old and some older! For example I had a lady with a basic black outlines Rose with red petals and green stem and it was all blown out and grey and all the red had pretty much gone and I sharpened the black lines and put some fresh bright colour in and highlighted some white to cover the blowouts and it was good as new! I have the picture on my Instagram of the before and after! A tattoo is never too old to bring back to life :)
I think you could easily remove the youtube one. I've heard that solid black is the easiest and least painful colour to remove because of the way the pigments are and that the laser can "see" it more easily than other lighter colours. Once you did a few sessions to get it mostly off, you could do a nice coverup to get rid of the remaining pigments.

I've never thrown up or blacked out during a tattoo (though I have fallen asleep lmao) but I remember hearing a story about this guy who was this nearly 7ft tall buff guy came in for his first tattoo, (on the bicep, so not even in a painful area as such) and he cried, projectile vomited everywhere, and promptly passed out and pissed himself. I feel sorry for the guy, he apparantly did go back for other tattoo's and was fine, but they never let him live it down. xP) But the body can react in funny ways, don't be ashamed if you do throw up or pass out or anything, we all have different pain thresholds too, so what might not hurt for me, since I have a high one, at least when it comes to tattoos, others may not. :)

I feel like the mushroom could easily be incorporated with the rest of the sleeve if some decorations are added around it like the others surrounding it!! I think the sleeve looks cool, and I'm not usually a fan of coloured tattoos!
I solved the issue of tattoos looking a bit faded and droopy when you're old by not getting my first tattoo until I was 50. :) Really though, I had a specific thing I wanted but it took a long time for me to find someone who was both a good artist and who I trusted anywhere near me with a needle. I'm turning 60 later this year and want one more but the woman who did the first one has since quit tattooing so I will need to find another artist. The tattoo I have is on my right forearm a bit below my elbow and is blackwork, not too big, and is a chef's knife and sharpening steel.
I always think that a Convention tattoos never hold up as well, I had a massive thigh one done at a tattoo convention and it was massively rushed, got infected, looks nothing like the design I wanted and basically needs saving from my normal tattoo artist (who didn’t do the tattoo 😭) So basically, Kids; don’t get tattooed by a random artist/on a whim ESPECIALLY at a convention.
I remember watching the vlog that bry did when him and Emma got matching tattoos... god that was a while ago! My favourite tattoo of Emma’s is the one of Sally the hamster 🐹
I thought the oyster one looked super cool and very well done! Now I want one! Ps. I think your sleeve is coming along nicely, it’s a great contrast to your porcelain skin. Which makes you look even more beautiful than you already are.
I have a friend who had a wierd composite picture of his Mother Grandma, Sister and fience tattooed on his lower belly, bellow his belly button. Their faces kinda smooshed together as if they were trying to cram into a selfie. He got this on his fience's birthday to show that she was an equally important part of his life and family as the rest of the women in his life. The art was actually very well done. A miracle given the four photos the artist was given to work with. He did, however, get incredibly drunk while having it done. Was in intense pain and had the adrenaline high from getting the tat. He turned up to the fancy restaurant his wife had booked for her birthday / their anniversary of engagement in sweat pants and a t shirt stinking of whiskey and pulled the t shirt up and the pants down to a slurred 'Happy Birthday, babe. I got this to show you I love you.' He didn't take off the bandage, so she initially thought it was a vasectomy op wound. She wanted kids after they got married, he wasn't convinced. So she thought this was some twisted, hateful act. He was thrown out for public nudity and barred. She didn't get the expensive dinner for two she had paid for, herself. When he finally revealed the tattoo to her in a parking lot eating drive through, she was horrified. Placement on a tattoo is vital. Dont tattoo women's faces so that, when your pubes grow back, they all have beards. Secondly. If you ever want a blowjob ever again... dont get a tattoo of your sister, mother and gran to stare out the person sucking your dick. They had issues before... the wedding date getting pushed back further and further due to lack of cash but he kept spending money on crap he never used like home gym equipment and a gas BBQ. This was the big final blow and it broke them up. Still has a tattoo of his mother, sister, gran and now ex on his gut to greet any future felators. Let's hope they have a good sense of humour. Or are blind.
Omg I adore the oyster!!! It’s so cute! I’m also very happy you made this because I’ve always seen glimpses of your tats and been so curious bc they’re all so pretty
I adore your hamster tattoo so much! I really want to get a tattoo of my hamster because he means a lot to me and has gotten me through a lot but people kind of make fun of me for that idea since hamsters sometimes aren't taken as serious as pets like dogs and cats. So it's great seeing an example of an amazing and adorable hamster tattoo :)
I love the bird that your father has. My first tattoo I ever got was two roses one red and one yellow with "Live Like You're Dying" across it. It's for my grandfather who passed away and it is on my forearm. His favorite fowers were yellow roses and mine are red. When he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer Live Like You Were Dying became his favorite song. The idea of family tattoos is so special to me since getting mine because it will always remind you that your love ones will be with you everywhere you go
Loving the new content, Emma. I kinda lost touch with your channel but rediscovered it a few videos ago. Been watching them as they come out since. You're still able to make me laugh, which is the original reason I subbed way back when you and Dan (nerd cubed) first collaborated. Hope you're enjoying it too!
I think the mushroom tattoo fits well! The line art isn't EXACTLY like the others because it's a different artist, but the color fits well and the spacing just looks like your filling in the gaps of your sleeve
i can safely say i probably wouldn’t have gotten my 2 tattoos i have now at age 19 if i hadn’t seen just how beautiful yours were, they’re not in a similar style but i remember seeing the ham when you first got it done and the crystal and thinking “DAMN they’re beautiful” and it made me think i could get them just because fuck it, why don’t i want a teacup on my arm??? it’s cool as fuck!!
Loving the They Might Be Giants rep! My second fave band ever and I'm wanting one of my next tattoos to be themed around them but currently unsure of what to get
a rule that me and my sister have with tattoos (which has worked amazingly so far): If you get an idea for a tattoo, wait 6 months to one year and then see if you still want it. If you do, chances are you will still like it years later. If not, you saved yourself from an „on a wim“-tattoo
Emma I missed this! Casual sit downs with you and your thoughts are so fun. I would love for you to re-rate your hair journey/styles and what you’re doing now with your hair. Also, have you changed any make up routines.
I have so many tattoos planned out, and going over them in my head I completely glossed over the fact that one of them happens to be from one of your songs. I want the part from Icarus where it goes, the higher you fly the less you can hide, in between two wings.
Your wrist tattoo would still look good with a touch up. You've got some cool stuff. The hamster is fucking incredible, I've got a memorial tat for my budgie that passed away last year
FYI, solid black is what you can laser off. It’s the pale colours you are very restricted with, because the laser burns the pale colours into the skin and you’ll then have permanent pigment left over. The tattoo will also look very damaged. The general rule with laser is the darker the tattoo pigment and the paler your skin, the more effective and the less sessions to remove it there will be.
Love a good tattoo regret! My first tattoo was the Disney 'D' on my wrist. Lord knows why i decided to brand myself with the company on my body bit oh well, it's small enough that I can live with it. Another regret is I got the Taurus symbol tattooed behind my ear in a way that you can see it through my plugs. Probably the most white girl tattoo I have. My 2 favourite rattos is one on thigh, which is a rat holding a cup of tea with the initial of my 4 rattos on the cup. My first full colour tattoo. The only issue with it is when i wear a just above knee length skirt you just get the tail and the butt of the rat sticking out, bit strange but I can live with it Also a flash I got, strange having a spur of the moment flash be one of my favourites but it's on the back of my arm, it has a cat and a pumpkin. and it says hollow underneath. I love cats and the pumpkin is cute and I've named the cat Jiji
It's a small detail but i absolutely love the slight turquoise shade behind your hamster ? it's a lovely color and pulls the other colors together i think
for someone with committment issues the thought of a tattoo (especially one dedicated for a partner) is FREAKING SCARY but so so cool that you did it and love iiit
i’m not gonna downplay your experience ofc, but like it’s just there. it’s great if you love it forever, but equally years later you could just be like, yeah that’s pretty, or i had a fun time getting this or, i remember that time in my life where i felt this. it’s just a cute lil scrapbook x
You describe your tattoos so well, I am blind and I was able to completely understand what you had. That’s so cool! What color is your skin exactly? So I can imagine the contrast and such.
I love all of your new (to me) tattoos! They are amazing and suit you so well! I totally got a really bad, blaaack tattoo and ended up having an artist to a really cool blackwork design over/around it. Except for a little raised scarring from the original tattoo, you can't even tell, and it is amazing! Maybe you could have a little blackwork done to cover your TH-cam play button?
I was fucking dying laughing at you roasting your foot tattoo! Just wanted to say I’ve been watching you since maybe 2014 and this kind of content where you’re just being your funny, sarcastic self is my favourite. Keep doing you. You look beautiful, you look happy!
the birdhouse tattoo is soooo pretty i love ittttttt also when i turn 18 i'm getting a super minimalistic cat tattoo on my upper forearm for my cat simba who actually is the fuckin love of my life, and i'm not totally sure what i'm going to get but i'm gonna get something as a tribute to my incredibly gay almost adopted brother who has been my best friend pretty much since i was born and supported me through absolutely everything (he's 9 years older than me so he's always been an incredible role model to me)
Suggestion for the next session, but it comes with a sacrifice. You can cut off pain from your body, if you bite your tongue. Doesn't need to be bite-off, just enough to ward the pain receptors in your body from doing their job right (well actually, you're pranking your brain, but yeah). I do this whenever i get surgery or get an injury. Works for that, should work for a few needles. The sacrifice comes from the fact that you shouldn't bite the same spot too many times, you'll like have a numb tongue, by the end of it, but that means you can have matching knee and elbow pieces.
I love your hamster tattoo! When you started posting videos with Sally in them all those years ago, you inspired me to research and eventually adopt my own dwarf hamster. Her name was Mystique, and I plan to get a tattoo of her (with my late dog and 14-year-old cat) at some point in the next couple years. So thank you for being the reason that I had one of my three best friends in my life!
I love the birdhouse tattoo! Birdhouse In Your Soul is one of my fave songs. 💕 I got my tattoos mostly on a whim when I was younger and knew nothing about researching different shops’ work. Now I’m 31, I’m starting to cover them up. Always check portfolios!!
I have ONE tattoo that I spent the better of 2 years thinking about. Like, I knew I wanted a tattoo for about 10 years, but this one, it's just special to me.
Gods, I remember when you got that TH-cam play button with Bry. Wow, I didn’t realize how long I’ve been watching your videos! I still remember when you were making videos at your dad’s house. Hello from a long time fan!
I fuckin love your whole arm, and the family anchor! I actually got a cute lil mushroom on my arm kinda inspired by you (because it got in my head- but when I looked if you had it I couldn’t find a photo of you with it so I thought I had made it up because I actually just wanted it, but turns out it’s there on your arm and it’s definitely where my brain got the idea!) although mine is much less cute, and I feel the same that it’s placed not quite right. In regards to your lil shroomy friend, I wouldn’t have noticed the lack of spacing, and that it isn’t on theme if you hadn’t pointed it out! I love how it goes with the crystals and the lil flowers you have all over!
Am I the only one who just couldn't help but hear the music from "Hamtaro" when she showed her upper arm tattoo. Emma Love you so much girl. You are honestly Awesome. Keep up with you being you
btw love the hamster one, I would love to pay tribute to my long gone pets but I don't have such cool design ideas (also, I'm afraid to get colored tattoos even though I love yours)
I really wanna get a tattoo that's part a quote that inspires me and myself and part dedication to the show that has followed me and my life as I grew. Doctor Who. With the quote being. You are a good dalek. In reference to that whole series with capaldi wondering if he is a good man. Mostly referring to the ending of that series where Clara says something like "I dont know if your a good man, but you try to be, and that's what matters".
this is the first video of yours that i've watched in a long time and i loved it. i'm so glad that this year is treating you better and you're happy with (most of) your tattoos. uwu
i have two tattoos so far and i'm hoping to get more, so i was wondering if you could do a video about tattoo care? obviously you don't have to, i just get kind of anxious about mine healing badly so i think hearing advice from someone experienced would ease my worries a bit!
You can use the body markers by BIC or something. They hold up well for a couple of days depending on how many layers you put on. But I could be a good way to play around with your tattoos and positioning to see what are want and how you want it
I love the crystals on you so much ❤ also looooove the elbow mandala - not gonna lie, a matching set would be so cool. Haven't seen one on you that I don't like - apart from the obvious foot monstrosity - they all have cool stories behind it!

Kids; don’t get tattooed by a random artist/on a whim ESPECIALLY at a convention.
my fifth tattoo *has left the chat*
I remember watching the vlog that bry did when him and Emma got matching tattoos... god that was a while ago!
My favourite tattoo of Emma’s is the one of Sally the hamster 🐹
I was looking through Will's Instagram while watching this and saved the pic of the birdhouse tattoo before you even talked about it! It's gorgeous!!
"millenial sleeve, where nothing makes sense with anything else" is a mood
Emma: "Millennial Sleeve, where nothing makes sense."
Me looking at my own arms with not matching tattoos: "F*" 🤣
I thought the oyster one looked super cool and very well done! Now I want one!
Ps. I think your sleeve is coming along nicely, it’s a great contrast to your porcelain skin. Which makes you look even more beautiful than you already are.
Love your music so much Emma and I can not wait to hear the new music ❤️❤️❤️❤️
won't be much longer! planning the next music video as we speak!
@@emmablackery Jumping into it harder than Phillip DeFranco.
Emma Blackery ohhh so exciting ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The oyster is so CRISP
I LOVE THE HAM TATTOO SO MUCH
Emma *gets a tattoo in tribute to boyfriend*
Me (who listens to Taylor Swift): "Oh Jeez, I hope this relationship lasts"
For Taylor Swift, any relationship breakup is simply a wise career move.
I got this to show you I love you.'
He didn't take off the bandage, so she initially thought it was a vasectomy op wound.
@@AnonEyeMouse Is it just me or is that hella creepy?
@@AnonEyeMouse At first I could only see the first 3 lines and didn't read the rest until after my previous comment.
Fella got issues.
@@AnonEyeMouse that was a wild story from start to finish
I'm youtubese, the play symbol actually means youth, courage and demonitisation
"I like my chest piece" *Kills self with joke* Mood.
The idea of family tattoos is so special to me since getting mine because it will always remind you that your love ones will be with you everywhere you go
How could we convince you to get a rewind button on your other foot?
Loving the new content, Emma. I kinda lost touch with your channel but rediscovered it a few videos ago. Been watching them as they come out since. You're still able to make me laugh, which is the original reason I subbed way back when you and Dan (nerd cubed) first collaborated.
Hope you're enjoying it too!
I think the mushroom tattoo fits well! The line art isn't EXACTLY like the others because it's a different artist, but the color fits well and the spacing just looks like your filling in the gaps of your sleeve
i can safely say i probably wouldn’t have gotten my 2 tattoos i have now at age 19 if i hadn’t seen just how beautiful yours were, they’re not in a similar style but i remember seeing the ham when you first got it done and the crystal and thinking “DAMN they’re beautiful” and it made me think i could get them just because fuck it, why don’t i want a teacup on my arm??? it’s cool as fuck!!
ahh i'm happy i've had a positive impact!
Emma Blackery oh you have in so many ways!!! 💛💛
Loving the They Might Be Giants rep! My second fave band ever and I'm wanting one of my next tattoos to be themed around them but currently unsure of what to get
i love the whole sleeve you've got going on tbh but the crystal one with the cute lil stars is probably my favourite of yours!
a rule that me and my sister have with tattoos (which has worked amazingly so far):
If you get an idea for a tattoo, wait 6 months to one year and then see if you still want it.
If you do, chances are you will still like it years later. If not, you saved yourself from an „on a wim“-tattoo
Emma I missed this! Casual sit downs with you and your thoughts are so fun. I would love for you to re-rate your hair journey/styles and what you’re doing now with your hair. Also, have you changed any make up routines.
same bruh imma call you dennis
also it's so good to see you back on youtube and i can't wait for your new music
The hamster is fucking incredible, I've got a memorial tat for my budgie that passed away last year
I really love all the cartoony tattoos on your arm, they're so bright and happy to look at!
The only issue with it is when i wear a just above knee length skirt you just get the tail and the butt of the rat sticking out, bit strange but I can live with it
Also a flash I got, strange having a spur of the moment flash be one of my favourites but it's on the back of my arm, it has a cat and a pumpkin. and it says hollow underneath. I love cats and the pumpkin is cute and I've named the cat Jiji
You previously made a video where you roasted your hairstyles
Now you've rated your tattoos
I can't wait to see part three in this saga
Lol my boyfriend showed “birdhouse to my soul” to me as well. I love the tattoo design and the song was the first thing that popped in seeing it.
i think the mushroom is cute with the rest of the sleeve! the colours fit in well even if the tone is kind of different
As someone who's finally biting the bullet and getting their first tattoo later this year, I really appreciate this. Good to see you so happy too! 💙
I remember when you got the play button tattoo with Bry!! I definitely missed watching you
Omg I haven’t seen one of your videos on my subscription feed since like 2017. Glad to see you again.
Glad to see you back uploading! (Or maybe I just suck at keeping up) & with a tattoo video, couldn’t ask for more
I loveee your oyster tattoo, the flowers are so cool and the colors are gorgeous! The bubbles!!
Ahhh nice!! A video where we can see all your tattoos I was looking forwards to that 😌😘 love you
When you talked about the pain of elbow tattoos, I felt that
It's a small detail but i absolutely love the slight turquoise shade behind your hamster ? it's a lovely color and pulls the other colors together i think
Will did a great job!
Was just watching your "Clear Pants" Video when this one came online. Looking forward to many other videos.
for someone with committment issues the thought of a tattoo (especially one dedicated for a partner) is FREAKING SCARY but so so cool that you did it and love iiit
i’m not gonna downplay your experience ofc, but like it’s just there. it’s great if you love it forever, but equally years later you could just be like, yeah that’s pretty, or i had a fun time getting this or, i remember that time in my life where i felt this. it’s just a cute lil scrapbook x
That oyster is A++ and so is this video! Nice to see you thriving 🖤
I love the flowers that link some of your tattoos together! Also that swallow is dope.
it's been a long time since I've watched one of your videos. Watching again now feels seeing a friend you haven't seen in a very long time.
You look beautiful, you look happy!
the birdhouse tattoo is soooo pretty i love ittttttt
also when i turn 18 i'm getting a super minimalistic cat tattoo on my upper forearm for my cat simba who actually is the fuckin love of my life, and i'm not totally sure what i'm going to get but i'm gonna get something as a tribute to my incredibly gay almost adopted brother who has been my best friend pretty much since i was born and supported me through absolutely everything (he's 9 years older than me so he's always been an incredible role model to me)
Suggestion for the next session, but it comes with a sacrifice.
I honestly love your Navi tattoo. In a similar vein I want to get Skull Kids mask from Majora's Mask on my Collarbone because I love the design of.
My favourite is the dwarf hamster
The TH-cam logo could probably be covered with a retro TV? Possibly some white ink over the top to look like TV static.
I absolutely love videos on peoples tattoos its so interesting!
I got my tattoos mostly on a whim when I was younger and knew nothing about researching different shops’ work. Now I’m 31, I’m starting to cover them up. Always check portfolios!!
I’m not a tattoo person myself but i fucking love seeing them on other people
Urs look so sick (the oyster and pearl one I think is my favourite) 💗
Same here
Your traditional tattoos all look good but my favourite is the anchor on your shin. The color is so vibrant & I love the design
Lol I have one of my knees completely tattooed & it wasn't bad for me
You should get a Princess Leia tattoo but with kitty Leia’s face 😂
I READ TOES AND THE THUMBNAIL DIDNT HELP OMG IT’S 3AM I SHOULD SLEEP
Birdhouse in Your Soul is one of my all-time fave TMBG songs! Love it
I have ONE tattoo that I spent the better of 2 years thinking about.
Love that you're making videos again
I really wanna get a tattoo that's part a quote that inspires me and myself and part dedication to the show that has followed me and my life as I grew. Doctor Who. With the quote being. You are a good dalek. In reference to that whole series with capaldi wondering if he is a good man. Mostly referring to the ending of that series where Clara says something like "I dont know if your a good man, but you try to be, and that's what matters".
I love your hamster tattoo. It's such a good idea and looks amazing :D
I think people underestimate how much you can love a hamster. God knows I did before I got mine. Your hammy tattoo is so cute I love it.
Its okay! Dwarf Hamsters have origins in Asia and the Middle East so it kind of makes sense
this is the first video of yours that i've watched in a long time and i loved it. i'm so glad that this year is treating you better and you're happy with (most of) your tattoos. uwu
War Flashbacks to the waist clincher corset.
i have two tattoos so far and i'm hoping to get more, so i was wondering if you could do a video about tattoo care? obviously you don't have to, i just get kind of anxious about mine healing badly so i think hearing advice from someone experienced would ease my worries a bit!
You can use the body markers by BIC or something. They hold up well for a couple of days depending on how many layers you put on. But I could be a good way to play around with your tattoos and positioning to see what are want and how you want it
The mushroom tattoo is honestly my favorite. I love the hamster one too.
I love the crystals on you so much ❤ also looooove the elbow mandala - not gonna lie, a matching set would be so cool.
Haven't seen one on you that I don't like - apart from the obvious foot monstrosity - they all have cool stories behind it!
