@@ebolda30 I haven’t done any side quest yet best advice would be worry about those later because your gonna get epics from side quest and they lvl to your player so higher lvl u are the better the loot gonna be.

It's actually very fun. Been enjoying my time that I went ahead and purchased it after playing for a couple hours on gamepass. And now I'm on world tier 8 things getting rocky out here but I like it. It rewards your loot
I really enjoy the story and enjoy reading the journal notes, its fun and keeps me engaged, its a solid 8/10, only think I find is the clunkiness of the random cutscenses like a cut scense to jump over a gap or open a gate
To be honest this is definitely the best game I've played in a long long time. I can't stop playing. There's always something new to either do or get lol. Can't wait for future updates and dlcs.
You are 100% correct. It's a B rate, angsty, action and one-liner packed, sci-fi movie and I love it for that! The gameplay is super addictive and I'm thinking about going through the entire campaign with at least one other class, just to check it out (am playing as the Pyromacer). Great job, People Can Fly!
@@elrumcajs666 The gameplay is stellar. Some of the best shooting in a 3rd person shooter I've ever played. Put the powers and abilities and the loot system on top of that, and it's brilliant. I'd say PCF/Squeenix have a hit on their hands and a future series.
I think the story is better than that. It’s along the lines of other shooters and better than games like Borderlands 3 in my opinion. Most shooters just provide a context for mass murder, but Outriders had a mystery I genuinely wanted to uncover.
This game is an instant classic. The B movie writing is fantastic. It doesn't take itself too seriously. It reminds me of the old days when games were just simply FUN. 10/10

@@beanviii8359 Outriders has the benefit of being a new looter shooter in a genre thats dominated by destiny 2 and borderlands, however theres been like a 3 year gap since a really good looter shooter came out so i guess at this point people are willing to accept mediocrity just because its "not destiny".
I'm two days into this game and I absolutely love it. Even with the little bugs here and there. It's gonna get worked on and get better. I totally support this game!
This is one of my favorite looter shooter games since the division came out. I've played solo successfully and have reached maxed level and currently doing end game expeditions solo as well. I personally love this game.
The game is just fun to play, even when I get frustrated I will take a break, come back later, or turn down the world tier 1 or 2 for a tough encounter.
just beat the story and farmed to level 30 last night. can confirm, very fun "gears of war meets mass effect with diablo sprinkles" vibes. if you like making builds while annihilating hordes of foes, this is the game. getting legendaries has never felt better honestly.
How long did it take to beat the main campaign ? I just bought the game and having fun so far. Only thing is online match making sucks even when I turn of the cross play. I’m more in it for the characters and abilities.
@@kaycee310toysandcollectibl9 starting from after the demo, it took about 20 hours of a fairly casual pace to do the campaign while watching all the cutscenes. but thats with doing only 1 side mission the entire time (because i wanted to hit max level and world tier for best quest rewards) and a few roadblocks where i wasted time dying and trying new builds. otherwise just grinding the story.
Gameplay is exhilarating challenging and addictive. My only gripes with this game are technical really, I still get minor stutters on my rtx3070 and the server issues where pretty bad the first few days but I played all day yesterday without any connection issues so I think they're getting that figured out. Story is uninteresting to me and the load screens can be obnoxious due to the sheer quantity of them. That all being said the variety in builds and the gunplay make this game pure fun.
Played the demo and I wasn't impressed. Waited to see what was being said when the final product was released. After reading and watching players reviews on it I decided to buy it. Glad I did cause it's pretty damn fun once you get gear with mods and start experimenting with the mods along with skills and the skill tree.
Don't want to sound like a hater but I noticed something in the review to point out. You mentioned that during the boss battle you found yourself waiting for your abilities to regen so you could get your health back , this is a problem mainly for the pyro as the other classes can regen health just with weapon damage. Also the lore collectibles do a good job of adding depth to the story so I think they deserve being spoken about.
@Gaming Bolt, you can also utilize Weapon Leech or Skill Leech to heal yourself. Then you don’t have to wait for health regen to kick when fighting spongy enemies/bosses.
If u play as a Pyromancer once u hit someone with ur skill just shoot them and you'll heal up. I have mods that give me reduction cooldowns and more skill uses. I barely die now lol.
They should have had a “you are a badass” marketing campaign instead of a “we promise we are storytellers campaign.” Story vs Action in a Looter = Action for marketing Story for delivery.
I have been playing on series X and wow is it fast, it is probably the fastest game I have ever played. Multi player is broken 😢but the game is good 👍.
Okay, so I have a slight issue with this review. When he says you're not encouraged to grind...that's not correct. Each area that I have been to has two side missions to playthrough. Now, that may not seem like much but you are very much encouraged to play these over and over again. Given the world level you can make this as easy or hard as you want. Right now my world level just hit 7 and I haven't lowered it once. I haven't crashed once either (Xbox Series X). Fun Fact: If you play as a Trickster you can focus on any enemy you want and it doesn't matter. I have a skill called Bullet Twist that makes those so called bullet sponge bosses about the same as two regular enemies. If you find a weapon that steals health for each shot you make...you can actually tank them. What I mean by tank- stand in an upright position without moving and trading blows with him. It's actually quite an exhilarating experience as sometimes it gets real close.
I think the problem with a lot of games like this is that the game will always feel repetitive and it's up to the developer to create engaging end game content/expansions.
World tier and xp constantly reset when i jump between co op and solo? Game crashing and resetting story and mission progress? Frustrating as hell but im still playing. The shooting, tho insanely irritating how every enemy is a crackshot, is addictive.
I'm very disappointed that I'm getting disconnected all the time and the game not having an offline mode. I'm getting tired of games that don't have online modes. But other than that the game is damn fun and it's fast-paced combat especially using the abilities.

Stuck on lvl 27 for a week ! Can’t seem to progress even after 7 or 8 hunts . Storyline was fun but if I have to go to lvl 50 I’ll prob never make it at this pace .

First of all, the game is not open world, every stage, every mission is linear with a door here and there. I don't think it has enough level of customization to be called "looter shooter" yet. Characters are bland and so is the story. Also wtf is with the shaky camera ?? I'm sure nobody ask for that.

Outriders is really good. During the cutscene for the first boss battle when the boss emerged from the tower thing I instantly lost connection and fell back in my chair. My dad commented: "You just experienced how it feels to chew 5 gum."
I'm not really crashing often at all. Maybe like twice so far with me having like 8 hours played. The only issue is multi-player and it being very laggy when in someone else's lobby
I really enjoyed the game, until it wiped everything from my inventory. Not only that but every time I try to log in for that character, it disconnects and refuses to re connect to server.
Didn’t you hear dude it’s not a games as a service but it does have 15 endgame missions that you can do in rotation so I don’t see anybody getting bored with that soon people are still playing anthem with only five
Bad of a long-term endgame you are aware that there are 14 endgame missions before that the final mission the 15th one which is basically are a three man read

Just wish it had single player option without always being online. And the option to have a bot team so u don’t have to fight alone single Player. Other than that having good fun until bastards kick u out of the game right when u join lol.
With any online co op game they are going to have you be online at all times so your character can seamlessly go into another person's game with all of your character data already stored on the server. Ya it sucks but it makes it a lot easier if you want to play with your friends

Dude nobody cares how you go through the missions however anybody who’s played a game any game prior knows that you’re gonna wanna leave the side missions the first one you do you realize you get a guaranteed be salute at the end of it you get to pick one of three choices why would you use those at level 55
I truly don't understand how people are enjoying this to the extent that they are. You have Multiplayer issues, bad dialogue, npc characters are 2 dimensional that change their core personality on a dime, like he mentioned in this video the story is so disjointed, and this is not a game to play solo you need a group because it doesn't scale for solo play. It just seems like it needed more time to make it work. I'm playing it now to get to the end game to see if it's worth it, also because it's on gamepass because I wasn't going to buy it. Also with the worldteir ranking when you get up there you will not be able to run and gun you have to mainly take cover and try not to get hit...and that is my two cents well more then two cents 😂 I hope everyone is safe and doing well!
So what I’m getting is that you hate the game but your playing it all the way through to the end lol. The multiplayer issues have already been fixed on the PS5 and it can easily be played solo. If you are having issues just turn the world tier down. However on my devastated I’m tearing through everything fairly easily. The voice acting is meh, but that’s pretty normal for video games and the story was interesting enough. To be fair the game wasn’t really built to be a single play through story game. If they would have omitted the story everyone would have been mad too lol.

I agree it's not meant to be played solo and when I join my buds for a group of three its easier but I find past World Tier 8 things get to the point of being super carful. This review would be fine and believable if the person reviewing it crashed atleast 2-3 times during gameplay and had login problems for 15 minutes ++ Half the game at this moment in time is crashing and restarting and then crashing again.
Story isn’t that all disjointed if you play the game properly all the way through the story first it’s a pretty good story you know the same old tragedy of the human race being assholes and it’s a good story now if you’re going through and doing all your side missions and what not I can see how you might think it’s disjointed because you’re getting all these little backstory but that is the main story quest line is not disjointed at all and you should be playing through that first before you do anything else
I've noticed something in the comments: in nearly 100% of the cases where the commenter both praises the game and mention their platform, it's someone who got this game on GamePass so if you're in the comment section and on the fence about BUYING the game, remember that most of the thumbs up are are from people who basically got this game for free and thus, surely, this will affect their opinion of the game in a more positive way vs someone who forked out $60
I am really enjoying this game. I didn't think it would be this addictive. Definitely my choice for most surprising game of the year.

Also the one thing I love is that u can replay an old mission and still get xp and rewards. Not a lot of games have that these days.

They really did a great job optimizing the game for series S. Reconstructed 1440p looks really good and the fps is near locked at 60fps

Passing on this game. The demo didn't impress me. Already played Anthem and The Division 2 so will go back to Div2 if I'm up for a looter shooter.

Outriders is really good.
During the cutscene for the first boss battle when the boss emerged from the tower thing I instantly lost connection and fell back in my chair.
My dad commented: "You just experienced how it feels to chew 5 gum."

I'm not really crashing often at all. Maybe like twice so far with me having like 8 hours played. The only issue is multi-player and it being very laggy when in someone else's lobby

I really enjoyed the game, until it wiped everything from my inventory. Not only that but every time I try to log in for that character, it disconnects and refuses to re connect to server.
Didn’t you hear dude it’s not a games as a service but it does have 15 endgame missions that you can do in rotation so I don’t see anybody getting bored with that soon people are still playing anthem with only five
Bad of a long-term endgame you are aware that there are 14 endgame missions before that the final mission the 15th one which is basically are a three man read

Smh you guys are getting almost as bad as IGN with your reviews, but hey I respect it. On the other hand I've personally haven't had any server problems on PS4 ☺. I like the story. It's very reminiscent of Anthem and has a lot of lore. I'm having a lot of fun despite struggling with my aim lol. Still trying to improve it.

With any online co op game they are going to have you be online at all times so your character can seamlessly go into another person's game with all of your character data already stored on the server. Ya it sucks but it makes it a lot easier if you want to play with your friends

Dude nobody cares how you go through the missions however anybody who’s played a game any game prior knows that you’re gonna wanna leave the side missions the first one you do you realize you get a guaranteed be salute at the end of it you get to pick one of three choices why would you use those at level 55

I truly don't understand how people are enjoying this to the extent that they are. You have Multiplayer issues, bad dialogue, npc characters are 2 dimensional that change their core personality on a dime, like he mentioned in this video the story is so disjointed, and this is not a game to play solo you need a group because it doesn't scale for solo play. It just seems like it needed more time to make it work. I'm playing it now to get to the end game to see if it's worth it, also because it's on gamepass because I wasn't going to buy it. Also with the worldteir ranking when you get up there you will not be able to run and gun you have to mainly take cover and try not to get hit...and that is my two cents well more then two cents 😂 I hope everyone is safe and doing well!
I've run threw the entire game solo and am now doing end game expeditions solo and successfully
So what I’m getting is that you hate the game but your playing it all the way through to the end lol. The multiplayer issues have already been fixed on the PS5 and it can easily be played solo. If you are having issues just turn the world tier down. However on my devastated I’m tearing through everything fairly easily. The voice acting is meh, but that’s pretty normal for video games and the story was interesting enough. To be fair the game wasn’t really built to be a single play through story game. If they would have omitted the story everyone would have been mad too lol.
@@ashen-x4269 I think the voice acting is just fine. Hell, the facial animations are miles above recent triple a games. I also think the story is pretty interesting and a unique concept
@@ashen-x4269 I am trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. Rather not base my opinion without putting the effort in. I agree it's not meant to be played solo and when I join my buds for a group of three its easier but I find past World Tier 8 things get to the point of being super carful. At the end of the day people will enjoy what they will. Havefun!

My nephew had the same problem. Took me two days of work in order to make the game work. If you need help tell me what sort of crash do you have.

Refunded due server fails and to having to be logged online to play single player. Loved the demo, but the launch was DOA.
Story isn’t that all disjointed if you play the game properly all the way through the story first it’s a pretty good story you know the same old tragedy of the human race being assholes and it’s a good story now if you’re going through and doing all your side missions and what not I can see how you might think it’s disjointed because you’re getting all these little backstory but that is the main story quest line is not disjointed at all and you should be playing through that first before you do anything else
I've noticed something in the comments: in nearly 100% of the cases where the commenter both praises the game and mention their platform, it's someone who got this game on GamePass
so if you're in the comment section and on the fence about BUYING the game, remember that most of the thumbs up are are from people who basically got this game for free and thus, surely, this will affect their opinion of the game in a more positive way vs someone who forked out $60
